Wow Night Elf Hunter concept and draft

Hey all, long time lurker here. I've been enjoying everyone else's work here in the creative corner so I decided to work on my own little project. Concept is based around being a WoW night elf hunter looking to 'tame' her first pet.

I've just started on it but am using the Edward platforming engine for all my programming so I just really need too work on art and animation. So far I only have rough anim's of standing, running (floating, for now), stopping, jumping, and falling.


There's currently no fun bits in yet but I'll be applying sex scenes upon collision with the enemies. Possible enemies include dire wolves, rabid bears, chestnut mares, and maybe a black drake or two.

Just posting what I have so far to give you an idea. Let me know what you think of my art, animation and concept. Disregard the levels n' such for now- that's the default items included in the engine I'm using.

some of the passages are too narrow and almost impossible to get through, the last passage at the end of the little maze with the spring boards being the best example.

ignoring the problems in it,i have to say this is a neat to play,the floating animation makes it look funny--and i don't mean that in a bad funny--

I edited original post to better describe what I'm doing. I don't want to take credit for the engine I'm using. Other than that, instead of running or floating I was thinking about doing a dash kind of anim for movement (sort of like running and floating at the same time). And I think I'll change the jumping anim to an opposite version of the falling one.

Changed some animations, drew first enemy and did simple up and down movement for him. I need to animate both him and main character running. Changed art for boxes. Let me know if you prefer current animations over prior ones.

They both run very nicely. But the platforms alignment needs to be touched up somehow. In the first submission, it's possible to essentially wall climb by just mashing the jump button against the walls. Also, in the latest submission, the floor is uneven which results in the player getting stuck and having to jump because of a single pixel (On the right side of the worg encounter). The ceiling also clips the jump so instead of hitting the ceiling, and falling forward, I hit it, stop forward progression and fall down with negligible forward movement since the value has presumably reset.
Disclaimer: Should I ever choose to give criticism on anything, give it an hour- I will undoubtedly change the message several times before then.

A couple of questions for anyone who can help. I'm using CS5, but I'm not use to it. Older versions allowed me to simply select a group to view it's programing, or selecting a frame would do the same. How do I go about viewing and changing any programming now?

Second question, the hit boxes that are around my character and enemies, how can I make them invisible?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I can help you a little - but one big problem - try to write more simple (i am not good in Englesh).

So what do you want ?

To make invisible boxes - you have to make it invisible - there are many ways - one of them open it and wright this.visible=false.

But i do not know what AS do you use there - so if you want - you can post it in CS4 version (Save as CS4-fla) - and i will try to help.

(I use CS5 for free 30 days so now i can not use it :mrgreen: ;) )

Programming are needed for changing algoritms of work. In flash program code can be anywhere - so it is inposible to understand where it is ;) - some time it is good - but some times a lot of problems with it :mrgreen:

Never played WoW but I've always loved how beautiful elves are. Big lotr fan, read the similrian. If I was making her, (if I had the ability) I would give her a white dress like the one galadrial had in the fellowship.

Sorry, I want to know how to access the programing. I don't know if it's still called actionscript or not. Older versions of Flash displayed the actionscript on the bottom of the page when I selected a frame or a group. CS5 doesn't show it on the bottom so I'm just trying to find where it is.

And for the invisible boxes, they're already made- I just wanted to know if there was a simple way to make an object transparent.

I now 2 ways: object.alpha=[number] / or object.visible=[true/false]
For AS2 i do not remember may be object._visible and object._alpha

May be some problems with hot keys ? Try to push F9 or some thing else.

Some Flashers wright all program in Text file with propertys FileName.as (i do not like this way :mrgreen: ).

I use Macromedia Flash 5 and later till CS5 (They are all the same - but Flash MX and CS4 i like the most) - so i little may be do not understand your problem ? If problem is in version try to downgrade your file to most early version and use it - i think it will work.

Thanks, I was able to find the programming under 'action'. It's so different from what I'm used to I didn't recognize it.

object.visible=false did the trick for me. One less thing to work on. :D

After i see your game i decided to make some game about tank :lol: I do not know how it is connected :lol: :mrgreen:

All walls and tanks will be destructible :lol: I only start yestarday so did not draw it lol :lol:

Am i good in drawing ;) :lol: :mrgreen: Just a joke :lol:

A lot of bugs - i think i will end it tomorrow or on weakends :mrgreen:

Ya it has a few bugs, like movement. the shooting system seems fine, but mabey tone down the fireing rate? And the paths between the blocks are a little tight

Good idea ;) Is problem when you press and hold down then press left and release left (down is hold all the time) ? Or any others ?

I'm liking this idea, i always found NE's to be pretty hot, i really hope this game gets bigger :). Also, this is a porn game, I'd recommend making the jump button the up arrow key instead of space bar.
