I have to assume that she wasn't fully seduced and she was just acting so Eva stopped prematurely, but that's the closest I can come to an explanation, and it's not really good.

It is like Eva said at the end of the game, her power forces obedience, not an attitude adjustment. Beezy and Bridgette have two completely different personalities, so they will act completely differently. Bridgette is formal, polite, loyal, and a bit zealous; Beezy is envious, abrasive, spiteful etc. Bridgette isn't more corrupted, her personality is just makes her react in a more protective/loyal fashion than how you see Beezy behave; the latter will do what Eva wants - just throw expletives at her in the process.

I thought about this and it was one of the reasons why when you first go through the portal there is the conversation about Bridgette's status and how she never told Eva. This was supposed to hint at the fact that she is not just a mindless servant; Bridgette is still keeping secrets unless directly asked (compelled) by Eva.

Then Eva has technically raped every living being she has done sex with?

I though you were making a "just-pleasurable sex" game, now this is a mixed game with psychological pain and forced sex.

Found a bug! If you use blitz and then you go to the left/right before you sword returns, your sword disappears and you're unable to attack; no matter if you return or if you use blitz again!

I think we should stop it right there with Gore being a girl and what not. We already understood that.

Anyway, is Gore still doing the livestreams? I wasn't able to catch one yet. :|

Also, does anyone want some more fan art of Sakyubasu no Tatakai? I'm up to do some cool art like I did for Eva if anyone wants! :)

"Wants" means that we'll have to pay or just say "it was very good, thanks"? I mean, in the first case you're being nice and in the second you're advertising your art...

No, you wont have to pay. I leave the paying thing to who ever wants to support me, but that's not required(I don't get much money from commissions either so I really don't care much). Also, I'm not advertising my art, I'm doing this because I love the SnT characters and I would love to do some fan art of it and I know you guys like it as well. Hell I would like to do the persona of Gore if she wants! This is all for fun and all for you. No money involved.

No problem then.

Anyway, may I ask you for a fan art pic? I don't want to abuse your generosity; but I would really love to see some fan-art of the tender scene.

I'm a fan of oviposition/egg-laying and although the scene of the tender is my favourite I really would want to see the Eva's womb filled with eggs or something like that.

If you want of course, thanks :D

Well this looks like just a small bug, but with the elite and seducing, while the elite is doing it's regen health part, you can exit the map without seducing it, not sure if that always happens, but it does happen if it is the only enemy left on screen.

It also occurs in the first part; with the bees.

Also, there's no sex scene in the part II for now; so if you were forced to stay you'll have to reload every time.

Rage bar?

Postby Useraro » Wed Sep 12, 2012 4:26 pm

Although is far better to have a rage bar than just waiting for the skill to reload, I think that it is not the best system.

Why not a bar that refills, not when you take damage, but when you do X attack (or number of attacks) without being damaged?

With a rage bar, the "ideal" strategy would be:
dodge, take damage, honey pot, dodge, take damage, summon, honey pot, repeat

With this new type of bar, the "ideal" strategy would be more like:
dodge, attack, dodge, attack, dodge, attack, summon, repeat

And that is far more fun and less repetitive than just let the enemy to damage you when you want; also, a truly "hardcore" player would never take damage; and when you need to take damage to win, there's something wrong with the design.

When you use spawn, the tender don't do any damage to the plants; even when they're moving or attacking you.

But a hardcore person could do it without summons as well no? If they wont take damage then there is no need for a summon bar yes? I see what your trying to say but putting it your way is a bit weird for me. Its something I agree on but it needs a better example. The point of the rage bar is really because Gore knows that most people will end up getting crapped on by the enemy and so it gives them a chance to use something over powering to turn the tables in case of emergency. With bridgettes 3rd move everything on the map becomes fried chicken while she is invincible. Yea pros will probably not take as much damage but if they're pros there is no need for summons right? But yes I do agree on a bar that fills up with certain amounts of attacks. I actually think combining them would be better. Mostly cuz its fair for both the bad and good players. That way if your good, the summon becomes a bonus in your fight, while
If your bad, its something to assist you while you find a place for honey pot. The only flaw I see in that would be, before any boss, players would just grind enemies until they have the summon an use it to gain an advantage which for overall make this incredible hard game into nothing but childs play.

Something I would like to ask you guys is, how about a save as you go option? Its a 2 sec. Idea I came up with and dont feel like finding the flaws on it so I'm gonna ask you guys. It would be helpful to save at a certain spot so if you die you dont have to go all the way back. So for instance the Spirit mask. Beat all the minions and save just in case. And make save boxes so that if we do finish the game, we could start again but not lose or save file. Obviously peole could just back it up but some may not know where it is and then it becomes a mess. Again just an opinion I want to debate over. Please side against me as much as you want.

Maybe if she just stopped repetitive fights there would be no need of complex save systems...

But anyway I think that artificially prolonging the game with repetitive fights is not a good idea. It is much more rewarding to beat a super-hard boss with 15 seconds between attempts; than to beat a hard boss with 5 minutes between attempts.

Easy bosses wouldnt be Sakyu...Gore has already mapped out his game, so instead of directly changing a major part of his game, I thought that a different save system could come about. Repetetive battling system is fun though. He/she/it doesnt want players to finsih the whole game in half an hour and then forget about it. By making the game hard and repetetive, its letting players go either 3 months from now go "whats that really easy game on LoK again? Made by some sponge right?" to "Holy shit I remeber Sakybasu no Tatakai! Fucking hardest game ever... Buy it was great to fap to. Maybe I should play it again"

You uderstand what I'm trying to saying? I want to try to make it easier for players without actually taking away from whats actually Sakyu. The dofficulty of this game makes people want to play more, want to see the scenes that GP has made. But if we're going back to this topic again, all I gotta say is that I'm sure you could find 300 better games to fap to on funnygames.biz. Cuz ya know there games are SOOOOO great and original. First I've never seen a game better than Sakyu.

Second, I agree with the difficulty part; but some minor changes could be made, "mapped out" don't means "the game is complete but needs some bug fixes"; it means "I've got a good idea of the plot and gameplay and bosses and sex scenes; but the technical part and the roleplaying part is still to be done".

Dat Feedback
I'm not a fan of taking damage to fill your summon bar.

The old cooldown system was perfectly fine, if you ask me -barring, of course, the obvious things like "hey bro your cooldown doesn't function in THIS area ololo".

If an alternative to just waiting is desired as the means of filling your summon bar, I have to hope it'll be something other than getting hit.

Dem Conversations

...Huh. I wish. I can't say no for a fact, but I'd sure like to see some kind of evidence to make me to believe that.

(emphasis supplied)

I agree if the bolded part is understood to reign completely supreme over the sentence.
A person who hasn't found a better game than Sakyu to fap to on funny-games probably hasn't looked, granted the number of Zone's works on the site just to begin with.
But an action-type game that's more fun to play for the action-game part probably doesn't exist on funny-games.

...That does, however, bring me to an extremely odd thing you've said.

AsianP3rsuas10n Wrote:Repetitive battling system is fun though.

...Huh?
What?
I don't think I agree with you there, broseph.

The way that Sakyu 1 generally goes about its business seems all right to me, but with the exceptions of the Mask battle and the Bridgette fight, I don't think there are any really
repetitive moments in thar.

I agree with Userao's position that
Useraro Wrote:It is much more rewarding to beat a super-hard boss with 15 seconds between attempts; than to beat a hard boss with 5 minutes between attempts.

I'd also say that repetition of areas you have already mastered, just to get to areas you haven't already mastered, is pretty annoying.
Hell, I'd ALSO say that repetition of LONG areas, whether you've mastered them or not, is ALSO pretty annoying.
I can't say that repetitive gameplay sounds like any kind of fun to me.

The game seems to be designed around that kind of philosophy too.

You can save right before the Chief Gorger and get a re-attempt within about 15 seconds. (Dat unskippable dialogue)
You can save right before the Stingers and get a re-attempt within about 5 seconds.
You can save right before Bridgette, minimising repetition, BUT her fight is long by design and it can't be sped up by skill. I find that second part unfortunate.
You can save right before the Broodmother, and get a re-attempt within about 5 seconds, maybe 10 if you happen to lag the fuck out in that pre-broodmother room.
You can save right before Beezy herself, and get a re-attempt within about 15 seconds. (Dat unskippable dialogue)

You can even save right before you engage the first Shieldbee with her "full frontal guard that exists even when her shield is down from the front quite clearly" bullshit.

There's no boss without the mask's special circumstances of being IN a soul-grinding area that forces you into unnecessary stage repetition, and I think that's a pretty good design-decision, because repetition of that nature would quickly become frustrating and boring.

Now, if you die right at the end of the fight, when the boss has a sliver of health left, then YES you do have to repeat the entire boss-fight, but that actually doesn't seem like as much of an imposition to me, since the bossfights are generally short, and since what you have to repeat is essentially WHAT is kicking your ass, and you're not repeating things that you've already mastered just to GET another attempt at the thing you HAVEN'T mastered.

It's not so much repetition as it is constantly learning, and the one or two times that you have to let the boss go through its pattern to seduce it don't take particularly long.

(The exception to this is the Bridgette fight.
That "exception" status arises partially because her fight takes a longass time and no amount of skill can ever speed it up.
I don't quite agree with that decision from a gameplay standpoint, but it adds a little something from a plot/immersion standpoint, so I'm not really prepared to bitch about it.

The "exception" status also arises because she can actually decide to whip out her chain attack for the first time in a pretty late segment, maybe even the last one, and she can thereby force you to redo previous segments that you've already mastered, just to get another attempt at her chain-attack if you haven't mastered it.
I'm not a fan of that.

Maybe a checkpoint between phases of her fight would have been appropriate to deal with that second point, but either way it's definitely a smaller annoyance than having to repeat whole minutes of game-time just to get back to the fight, and the MAIN point I'm making is basically that the more gameplay repetition there is, and the more boring it is, the less I'd classify the situation containing that repetition as "fun," and the more I'd start calling it something like "a tedious chore.")

By "resist" I did sort of mean
"NOT obey at first, despite her seduced status, and try to destroy the hive along with its inhabitants instead of accepting defeat, although she was already beaten."
I have to assume she was somehow just too buff for Mistress to properly seduce, or Beezy was faking being seduced, or... somefuckingthing, I really don't know.

And the "difference in personalities" thing doesn't really seem to explain the difference between the angel's complete about-face and Beezy's continued annoyance, but eh.
