H-Games Graphic Novels?

Postby AsianP3rsuas10n » Tue Sep 11, 2012 3:42 am

I'm pretty sure they're called graphic novels right? The ones where there is like a picture and a story line kinda thing? Yea but anyways, anybody play those?
I've played a few. I get diappointed alot though cuz I look for like an rpg type game and I download something and get a graphic novel instead lol. But if you have played these, what was your favorite?
Mine would have to be Katawa Shoujou. Its a bit weird but its really the story I'm more interested in than the porn itself.

I think you're thinking of visual novels here. And yeah, Katawa Shoujou is a kick ass VN. I'm playing Hoshizora no Memoria right now. It's hilarious and has a compelling story and the porn is kind of a side item. I prefer my VNs like that anyway.

My favorite? Tsukihime, if only because that was the first one I ever tried out and it got me hooked

Haha yea I honestly stubled upon Katawa by accident and thought it was something else but in the end I was happy with the result. And yea Visual Novels, Graphic Novels all the same in my world lol. The thing I do like about thses games though is the ability to choose your decisions and make it lead up to something else. Mass Effect like gameplay besides the shooting of course.

My personal favorite would be Fate/Stay Night (yes, it started out as a VN), though I don't own a copy myself...so I ended up watching vids of it on Youtube. That said, its primary focuses are on just about everything EXCEPT the H-scenes, so I didn't miss that much in terms of the overall experience. I would like to see what really happened with Shirou and Saber in that church room, though...y'know, instead of that god-awful CG dragon scene from the anime. Just as people die when they are killed, people fuck when they have sex.

I've been looking for good VN's to read ever since Katawa shoujo you guys know any ones other than the ones you mentioned so far?
Life has gotten so much more boring. Well I suppose it doesn't help if I say my only source of entertainment is YouTube and here. So yeah not much of interesting life going on.

Theres alot of them. The ones I remember playing would be Bazooka Cafe and Lighting Warrior Raidy. LWR has 2 games. Its VN with a bit of point and click actions. Check those out and tell me what you think.

Just started in on a VN called Yume Miru Kurusi (A Drug That Makes You Dream). It's the one time I've actually said, "Oops, I've accidentally maneuvered myself into fucking this girl." It's also a riot to play.

Most of the graphic novels are the same kind of thing, I've played a few, but whenever I try to get all the scenes I end up not getting fed up with it.
Therefore I prefer Visual novels with more gameplay and a more interesting character.
So if you want to try out something a bit different, I can recommend Sengoku Rance. It's a bit different than the other Rance games, but if you want to play a Strategy/visual novel hybrid, then try it out! It's fully translated so you can enjoy it to its max.
