It was supposed to be safe. Well..at least she thought it was. What they heard was pretty damn much the opposite, however.. Groans could heard in the near distance..not human ones. Definitely similar to the monsters outside.. Deni trembled at the thought of being..locked in here with the monsters. Yet, the officer was right..they had to clear them out. They couldn't proceed otherwise..and the zombies obviously wouldn't just let them go on with smiling faces and waving them goodbye.
Denieve let go of Dahl, breaking the hug. Dahlia would've probably felt that involuntary tremble running through Deni's body as they had hugged, but Deni didn't know that. She gave Dahlia a brave smile and clenched the handle of her Taser firmly, leaving Dahlia's side to walk up and stand beside the officer. She risked a glance at the insides of the room, peeking quickly before snapping back into hiding.
"That's...a lot of monsters..."
Deni muttered. To go in straight through was pretty dangerous. A plan suddenly clicked into place in Deni's mind..
"Hey, officer? Um..going just straight in is quite dangerous..could we..um, lure the monsters over here? This doorway's quite thin, so the most we would need to deal with is one, possibly two at the same time..uh..is that okay, sir?"
Deni suggested, giving the policeman a rather nervous grin. She wasn't sure if her idea was a feasible one..she just wanted the least risk exposed to the members of their little survival group now. The woman that had introduced herself as Alis offered up one of her spare combat knives for anyone to borrow. Denieve took a single glance at her Taser pistol. Which completely wasn't lethal at all. Time to get a little stabby, then..
"Erm, hi. Alis, right? Could I borrow your knife, then? Oh, I'm Denieve, by the way."
She gave the woman a smile, politely taking the wicked, curved knife from Alis' hand. It was..a kukri, probably. Denieve didn't know much about knives, but the curved blade was famous for it's savagery. It felt heavy in her hands..the weight of lives previously taken by it, possibly? Or probably just Deni's imagination.
Sleep unbeknownst to I, this one lives in perpetual need of coffee..
