Lady and the Orcs: action/platformer game

Sorry to say this so bluntly but:

- her lower legs look absolutely horrid because they are too short compared to the rest
- her lower body looks too much like that of a bodybuilder (bulky), which IMO doesn't fit with "Lady" in the title
- head and neck proportion with the rest of the body is wrong, they are too small

I do like the model face though so keep working on it

Let's hope the Orcs won't be the only enemies or it might get boring quickly.

Actually I believe the problem lies mostly within the torso itself. It's slightly too big and if she's to have an athletic body, maybe the torso needs to shorten up a bit while very subtly make the upper torso larger than the bottom one.

Because I'm primarily an artist more than anything else, as much as I hate to admit it learning code is very difficult for me, which is why I'm looking for someone who is proficient in Actionscript to join me in this little project. I was reading up on the Iya and Rowr thread found here, and thought about using the Citrus engine as a base as well ever since it was mentioned. It contains a level editor as well so building levels will be much easier.

I'm currently working on an engine similar to Citrus that I think would be perfect for your needs, because I wanted to make it easier for people like you to make games. Unfortunately the engine is months off being finished, and it's unlikely I ever will finish it :/

I like the lines, but I think your proportions are off. Head looks too small, thighs too wide, lower chest too big/upper chest too small. It's all well done, but together it doesn't look right.

I found looking at posemaniacs helped me a bit. It's not a guide to anything, just a bunch of poses. But it's the best reference I have. Hope it helps.
