When I release I'll usually do it everywhere at the same time. Forums and blogs. I generally don't like to use forums for the 'I'm still working on it posts' as I feel that self bumping is a bit annoying. Forums are more for direct response to feedback and general conversation. Status updates go on the blog unless someone specifically asks AND I feel like answering.

Testing is ongoing. Not getting quite the amount of testing I wanted (5 volunteers, but only 2 have actually done any testing) but I'm still guessing to release before the end of the month. Still have to finish the maps, add in some filler NPCs, but the core storyline and combat balancing are fairly close to being done. Content was finished a few weeks ago.

...You know, I usually prefer to test games in a mostly-complete state rather than a piecemeal buggy mess, but screw it. If you need another tester, I'll volunteer. If you have questions as to the quality of my work, ask KITAmaru, whom I also test for on this board.

Dude, I just played through the light path (and a little of the dark path) and this game is mindblowingly amazing. Especially the story though. I started that thing worn out and ready to hit the hay and ended up awake for at least 10 more hours between the two paths. Nothing really to add, just HAD to let you know how much I enjoyed it. On another note, would you mind overly much if I updated the wiki's walkthrough before you release 0.6 or do you already have someone working on that?
There's organized chaos, then there's normal chaos. And then there's miscellaneous chaos...

Oi! Ker! Hate to say i'm not of any help, cause my pc decides to not want to be able to run the program necessary. So, I'm gonna have to drop from being a tester for ya. I'll support ya anyway I can, but not with testing. Feel free to bounce ideas off me if you so please.

Hey... after lurking around for a while in the forum downloading RPG games to play, I decided that since I played your game and really enjoyed it, give you my two cents.

I want to start by saying, dude, your a flippen genious! Argh man, I love this game and the idea of slaves, ect ect. lol.
It is because of your game, I downloaded RPG maker to make my own.

So... I found the game to be very interesting. After some missions, you suddenly take ownership of the castle in the desert. At that point, you got girls that can be working at brothels and standing around in your castle. I got so many ideas I could add to your game, but you know, I love this game so much, all ima say is, its perfect as it is. Anything added to it outside of what you originally had planned will only take more time and make it even longer lol. Great game.

Thank you! As far as I understand, wiki's are intended to be community (not author) driven so add what you think is appropriate. Hasn't been updated for a while anyways.

Spectral - Testing is mostly complete, but thanks for the offer.

Zodiark - No worries

Should be able to release around the end of July. I still have to write a bunch of background text. I can only do that half-drunk for some reason, but I have half a bottle of vodka at home. I'm not 100% sure where 5cythe is with the mapping, but that shouldn't be a delay.

How come the main character can't equip a Flemrarge or a battleaxe, but can equip a Claymore? Isn't he suppsoed to be a fighter?

before the version 6.1 i can't defeat the enemy in the temple. she is too much for me till now. and i caught by the known bug and can find the org village. :shock:

One last thing that I could use. A few saves from the end of 0.5.1. Been doing a lot of testing and want some fresh (but not completely fresh) saves to work with.

A few particulars that I want
-End game saves (from the auto-save in the tram yard) with a guilty verdict
-Games where you treated Jessica outside your usual behavior. Ie raped her on the light path or seduced her on the dark path.

Posts, PMs, or e-mails to [email protected] with the attachments or DDL links are all fine.

i didn't even know you were testing until i saw the message saying you had enough testers,

now i see a message saying "oh, i wish i had more testers" then you say "testing is almost complete"

Final push is done, and 0.6a is ready for release! My brain is a bit fried so I hope nothing implodes as I upload, but past the point of no return.

0.6a brings in
-First phase of Western Rata, as the player pursues Terra's kidnappers (or savoirs) to get her back. Playable through the tram section, ending with the scenes in the Tenta Enclave.
-20+ new scenes!
-Text skip feature. Simply press down and the text will go by quickly.
-Jessica will finally join the fold along with a friend, and introduces Betsy and Melony while going further into Teresa and Danielle, Isabella on dark path only.
-Brothel leveling redone - no longer based on level. Once the brothel is open, every 200 steps on an overland map will cause the next group of customers to come through.
-Fixed the bug with random encounters being turned off after the party scene.

Things that are not bugs!
-There is no ability to go back to prior content once you enter Corsix in 0.5. 0.6c will allow you to go back to the colonies (Celee) but not until then.
-0.6a is linear, intentionally so. 0.6b will finish Terra's arc and open up the Western Rata to exploration. 0.6c will introduce the royal whorehouse (actual name tbd) and allow the player to go backwards to resolve old content.

Fixing, new links 10 min or so

Do not ask for alternative DDLs. One week from today I will upload to mediafire and set up the gmail account to auto-reply again and be will respond in forum with it. But until then there's 4 links to try and none require registration or payment.
0.6a CG pack will be up in a few days. Same as prior packs, only on the usual downloads.


As usual feedback is greatly appreciated! In particular, how did you like the linear design of 0.6a. I thought it allowed me to focus far more on character progression. It won't be part of every release, but it was a nice change of pace for me.

Theres a problem with the Corsix Mines in 0.6a.1

When you reenter the mines to continue clearing them (after Jessica rejoins you and your slave who got attacked is safe), if you enter any cleared areas (areas that are lit up) other than the entrance area, you get stuck there. It doesnt freeze, since the flickering animation of the lanterns still works, but you cant move or open the menu at this point.

In other words, you cant do anything except close the game

Thoughts on the new content:

First, I liked the plot progression. Part of why I keep coming back to this game is because you do a very good job of making the player interested in what is going to happen next, and the linear game design helps aid that... though the broad distances involved and the constant cries of "No, master! We need to save Terra!" get a little irritating. I KNOW THAT, ANGELICA! I'M JUST TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHICH OF THESE PLACES IS THE TEMPLE! AND EVERY FOUR STEPS FOUR GUYS SOMEHOW SNEAK UP ON US IN OPEN GROUND AND AMBUSH US!

Second, I appreciate the sex scenes that were there, though I would have liked a little bit more interactiveness. At the same time, given the stupefying quantities of hard work this game had to have already taken, I can't deny that such a thing is probably a really stupid idea.

Third, the random encounters are WAAAAAAAY too frequent during the "Plains" segments, in my opinion. The only REAL reason that they're even worth fighting, since they're pretty time consuming (if not outright difficult) and you can't level between them, is to grind for money and Tokens, and I'd REALLY have preferred that the "Tokens" weren't such a rare drop. It would have made fighting for a tangible result much more appealing, since I didn't find myself needing too much new gear to beat the fights. Is there... some way to increase the drop frequency but decrease the encounter rate?

Fourth, I miss the little bar on the top of the screen that showed you the enemy's combined HP. Was it too difficult to keep, or did someone else dislike it and complain?

Fifth... I don't see any real way around this, but you might want to TRY to cut back on the continuity porn. (Hee hee, double entendre.) I mean, EVERY scene in this chapter after the train seems to have taken forever because you had to account for whether the player has Fenja or just Kathleen, whether the player has met Ulya via Rhea or not, etc., then arranging all of the above to account for if the player is doing good or evil. It's... well, it seems like a ton of work, and I'm not entirely certain that it's not part of the problem.

Sixth, good job. I enjoyed this new segment, and though I'd have preferred it be a little longer, I understand why it wasn't. Good luck on the next part.

I've never complained about it, but i definitely found that I was making more mistakes along the lines of "split your attacks for maximum efficiency, but don't quite do enough damage to kill any of the weakened enemies and get walloped as a result" when I tried to use the bar as a gauge instead of just using a mental estimate. For something that's meant to help you, it can be misleading more often than not.
