It's a variable! Where does my math teacher get all his Xs and Ys in math questions?

Um... 2+2x2 = ?
Wouldn't the variable be put in place of the ?
so... 2+2x2 = a
so... 6 = a

bluelight is right if y = 1/2 but I have no idea why you would state it like that.

y = .5

We can agree to disagree here, but as far as I can gather, glass is considered an amorphous solid to formalized science.

Water is one of a very few molecules that is more dense as a liquid than it is as a solid.

Fun fact: Botanically correctly categorized strawberries are nuts.

What we commonly adress as a strawberry is actually the receptacle of the flower. Again botanically speaking the real fruit are the little dots all over it. And those are tiny nuts. :)

Does this fall in the category of things you wanted to post here? If not i'm sorry. :?

And while we're at it: Raspberries aren't actually berries. They are drupes (or stone fruits) like apricots or peaches. Botany has quite a lot of these mixups.
If you stumble across any typos, you may keep them and rear new ones in your basement.

Yep. Cashews aren't nuts, they're seeds. Peanuts aren't nuts, they're legumes.

It's not a botany mixup, it's a culinary mixup.

Each year, there are about 40,000 toilet related injuries in the United States.

About 32 million bacteria call every INCH of your skin home.

A human head remains conscious for about 15 to 20 seconds after it is been decapitated.

Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories an hour.
