Spoiler (click to show/hide):
Without having her face painted... although she does that sometimes to pass as a witch or something...
Weapons: While Elise would prefer others to do the fighting, she isn't above getting her hands dirty in order to reach her own goals or those of the guild. She primary uses a wide arranges of perfumes, poisons and alchemy to do the deal. Often without her victim realizing it, until it is to late to regret the mistake. But she's a lady who deals in influence first and assassination second. After all, what good is a dead prey, if you could instead have it work for you to bring you even more. You wouldn't guess how many men and women of the town are willing to betray their loved ones just for a night with her. The 'Dous Kochma' (sweet nightmare) is one of her favorite poison, forcing the person inhaling it to have vivid hallucinations, most of them cruel and tempting at the same time.
Along with the various poisons, she often carries a blowpipe, disguised as a flute with herself. Each dart, that she somehow always finds a place to hide in her applications, is usually tripped with some sort of poison or drug to affect its target. Should things get close and dirty, Elise always has a dagger with a hollowed needle handy. By pressing a button on the handle of it, the poison applied to it spreads over its tip and a part of the blade. She usually has quite the potent paralytic poison stored within it, but not of the numbing sort. Rather the victim would quiver and squirm in fear and pain, with all muscles contracting uncontrollably.
Armor: Whether it is a matter of arrogance or agility, Elise decided long ago that heavy armor was an unnecessary burden on her delicate body. However she feels at home in various outfits, so might happen, that she would wear a guard's armor or the leather armor of a tracker. She is able to move and fight in them, but would rather dress either in the simple clothes of the 'streetworkers' or the fine dresses of nobility. Her most common form of armor are bracers on her wrists and ankles, that she can wear as jewelry. They allow her to block attacks, while still retaining the maximum of mobility.
Specialty: Asking nicely and listening... if you get what I am saying
She's also quite adapted at pickpocketing and its reverse form of art (hiding something on someone without them noticing). Since her time away from the guild she is more than gifted at using poisons and perfumes to increase her efficiency.
History: Elise, like so many others, grew up in one of the orphanages controlled by the guilds. From her earliest days on, she knew that she had to control those around her, or at least those, that in turn controlled others. Despite that others would call her childhood rough, she did have quite a comfortable life as 'Princess of the Orphans'. She made others work for her, do her dishes and should he or she refuse, she always found someone to make the other person do it for her in the end. With her unique talents, she could made it as everything, even sneaking herself into the bedroom of a noble and live a happy life. At least considering to her poor childhood. However this was not what she wanted, she had higher-placed goals. Knowing that she could attain more easily within the structure of the Jareark Thieves' Guild than alone, she sticked with them as she grew old enough to leave the orphanage.
As she grew up, she quickly rose through the ranks of the guild, climbing her way with both assassinating and black-mailing those that stood in her way to the top. In a matter of months she attained the amount of influence, that other needed lives to build. Her network reached from the lowest beggar up to the palace of the Imperial Family, everyone was a spy for her, if she needed them to. None really got to know her, not even her friends. Aside from her talents, she seemed to switch personalities with the role she took. She's been playing a shy, young girl of distant noble blood, a whore working in the streets, even feigning to be a battlemage for a short time. The only thing that prevailed, was her 'love' for children, especially orphans, maybe that was a trait left over from her own childhood. She like to introduce them to the Guild, to train them, while turning them into even more obedient spies than anyone else. But suddenly, it seemed like she had enough.
For a reason, she never revealed why she left the city... not that many of her 'contacts' weren't enjoying to have her out of town for a while. She left the guild without any other word, just saying that she had to do business elsewhere. While the people were relieved, they were also puzzled. For a few months none heard a word from her, as if the earth opened up and swallowed her whole. It was during this time, that the guild's base suffered from the attack of the Imperial Guard. There were some voices suggesting that Elise's disappearance and this event were somehow linked. After all, she wasn't known for her loyalty. That's what one could think at least. Just a few days after the attack on the Guild, Elise returned. She had changed obviously, bringing with her knowledge of herbs and plants some people never heard of. She was quite shocked to see the guild in such a state, living in the streets again like rats. So much that she had attained was wasted and she was furious about that. Oh, she didn't hasted into the Imperial Palace with a knife in her hand... she knew she had to wait, it would make her revenge all the sweeter.
(Just for the measure of it) Quotes:
"Come over here! For just a coin, I will make every of your fantasies come true, strong man... let me hear all of them, the good ones and the bad ones... especially the bad ones...""Rest now, sweetie. You will need all your strength tomorrow... although, I might have this potion to help you in the fight... But why don't you tell me where you are going, soldier?""Of course, I am a virgin! How could you be so rude to say something else, Milord? You know I would never do 'It' before the marriage..."
