True, but what about if you were to submit to a boss? What mutation will you get from them? Say tyrant for example, what will you get from him? Or even Nemesis, if you get a one-time mutation from a boss, then you wouldn't be able to get it back if you're "Interrupted" by a normal enemy... That boss' mutation would be gone and you wouldn't be able to use it again... Unless you put in the "Choice System"... Choose whether or not to kill that boss or not...

Nah, I don't like this suggestion very much. I think it's making stuff too complicated. Then you would need a whole new set of sprite for each mutation. I think we should rather stay in a more Resident Evil-esque spirit.

I can't seem to get the recent updated game to work right. It keeps throwing up error messages(most i just click ignore a few times) of sound does not exist. I had same problems with previous version but could still play story/merc modes. Am i missing or doing something wrong?

the point is that the people gaining "zombie powers" was never the protagonist, and more importantly, while your idea COULD be pulled off, it would mean MUCH more work.

But in terms of RE-esque setting, if we put aside that we have an RE Hentaigame here, in the RE "storyline"
people have numerous times tried to gain superior powers through more or less voluntary infections with the virus. I
think this part of the concept is less different from the "original" than zombie-sex is ;)


The protaginist is never the one trying to gain such powers though. And that's not counting all the intricacies of how one would code this stuff into the game, not to mention how you'd have to make entirely different sprite sheets for each mutation.

Playing as someone Wesker-ized would be awesome, even though the plot seems to forget that he's a fucking superman when he's confronted by large biceps and a syringe.

Ah well, whatever.

As far as the idea goes for this game, though, new sprites already took about a year, so EVEN if you get taken up on that one, I think you're just asking for a disaster.

Red.Sheer's idea could be saved for an expansion of some sort when and if they decide to make an evil play through, but to be honest I was a bit disappointed with how little there was in the demo no offense. The new gameplay is impressive it's definitely more challenging, it's just a little short for that long wait is all I'm saying. Since that was all we got out of the demo the suggestion of some sort of expansion is almost out of the question anytime soon.

Regarding the comments on the super-power thing: It is true that it's not the protagonist. Yet, when was the last time you saw Rebecca whoring herself out to freaking ZOMBIES? If the game offers the possiblity to do that willingly, I don't know why she wouldn't benefit from the mutations this behaviour would cause. As someone wrote on the games' blog comment section: Almost anyone playing the game will go for the whore-gameplay because you want the h-scenes. I don't do that, besides the cerberi there are no creatures in RE I'd ever want to see fucking anyone. If there was a consequence of this in the game, however, it would be something different. That's why I like inventing ways of making the hentai in the games on these forums somewhat "deeper" than just fap-material *gg*

And to me, I think it would be cool if we had a hentai game that, FOR ONCE, would just be a sexualized version of the original. It would be cool if the game followed Resident Evil's mains principles, like big areas to explore, locked doors and everything.
I don't know if it's the developper's design or not, but I really hope so.

Hmm... was afraid you'd say that. I overdid it with the purple because I was really trying to go for one blend of color,
so sticking to the blue-ish spectrum. Didn't really want to overdo it because there's so many sprites(Poor ZFied is sifting through 100+ right now) to do for each object
and I think I'm having this irrational inclination to keep my palette small. Here's to expanding the color swatch!

And meh. I keep drawing the breasts too far out of place when trying to line the pixel art with the sketch, and try to compensate by shading desperately.
Proves I need moar practice.

... And again with the big feet! D:

Eh... Only reason I drew the femzom was for practice. Although, aside from the skin tone practice ('twas for my own benefit :P) the proportion and posture practice is for when I draw up the idle sprite for Jill, and running sprite for Claire.

The game really needs a bit of fleshing out, so I'm waiting for ZFied's map so there'll at least be chapter one (A cohesive storyline goes miles, eh?).

Alternate characters for Merc mode was my suggestion before, so I can draw up some new enemies without getting bored to death with Rebecca, and then returning Rebecca for round two (Reprieve is good for the soul!).

If you really want to, the tree texture could be less solid; those solid black lines
aren't really necessary. Mmm... If you can remember the wooden table from the old
game in the bar where you start off... That's simple enough for a texture.

If you really, really wanted to though, Thaedael's got quite a lot of tips, so if you do want to take your artwork to the next level, then his tutorial will help heaps.

Okay, so progress-wise:

Leech sprite
Alright, I'll be frank. When I drew the leech sprites, I started with
the sex sprite. Now that I've drawn the actual leech sprite all by itself... Well...

In RE0, the leech pretty much looks like a pile of brown sludge. Translated into
pixel art, it now looks like a puddle of poop:

It's because ZFied wants me to reference the RE0 leeches (and they look like brown sludgy poop anyway).
So if I drew the leech base sprites from this concept, they're just going to look like idling/crawling/jumping poop.

Oh, and wait for it... In the sex sprite there's a leech that goes for anal.
So, imagine what that looks like >,,,<"

Unfortunately, the alternative isn't all that better. In RE3, there's an enemy called the sliding worm.

NPC sprite
Okay, this is interesting. Anyone have a good reference for someone walking the catwalk while on high heels?
I'm trying to give ZFied an NPC that he can really do a lot with.


PS: Sorry for the holdup guys. I'm still practically a beginner and barely a novice in pixel art, which is why I've been trying to get practice where time permits.
The current process is sketch, fill in solid colors, check if pixel art aligns with sketch, and check if it looks alright.
So there's a tonne of rejected sprites, and a bunch of "I guess that could you know maybe work" sprites.

Sliding worm thing is ... probably the better course of action.

Remove the thorn-like protrusions on its body, and do something about the sharp-ass teeth on the mouth end, and to me, it seems perfectly fine.

The way the RE0 leech looks, in contrast, is just... uh ... let's go with "HIGHLY unfortunate".

That's...actually rather easy to solve, to be perfectly honest. Just turn them a sort of sickly green color, that's what they always looked like to me in the game anyways.

You could also just have leech zombies instead.

The reference I got from RE0 was sorta like these:

The GameOver pic that AnooB sketched referenced the old leech sprites I drew.
Those referenced a resident evil leech that had a yellow thingamajigger up top.

... So it looked like egg yolk on bacon -,,,-

Aside from going into her holes, the leeches are also supposed to suck and wrap themselves around her breasts. So... mouth-al-area-thingy are also musts.

Yeah, nerfing those teeth will probably be best. I might pluck them out altogether.


I'm a bit worried about drawing anything at this point now. I thought a Cerberus update would've been up by now but it isn't and I'm really not confident about drawing some more until I see if it... "fits".
That's why I'm really reluctant to add anything like a leech zombie. The delay might mean that ZFied's in a bit of trouble. Hope the dust settles so an update is released.

Well, you could always say that these leechs are different, which since their main goal is to screw you, they are indeed different. I suppose it depends on how much Z-Fied wants the leeches in the game.

You could always try making them grey, as they look more greyish brown to me in that one image.
