Yes, space/control can be context-sensitive, but just imagine the best combination in order to let the player aside of relearning keys. For me, jump using control key was the 'eureka'. It freed the other keys nicely, so the player can use UP to climb , go to doors, swim up and even go to upside down pipes. UP means really UP. So It's up to you. You will know what will be best when you reach the phase of climbing and doors No time to rush. The best way to test it when the time come is.....with testing.
