He slipped on the cracked asphalt, tumbling and scraping away as he slid along the collapsed road segment into the underworld. Slowly light gave way to darkness, the hard red glow of a underground shaft coming to his adjusted eyes. He looked around, there was no man to be seen in the corridor, the was nothing to be seen except the blank concrete, worn with ages of service to this busy city. The tracks laid below the asphalt he had fallen upon, the warning symbols of high tension electrical flows all around him to see. Off to one side is a service passage, the chain linked fence and door to the service passage having been crumpled below the weight of the street.

The taste of blood flowed from Jenkin's hand into her mouth. She had bit hard and deep, enticing a reaction from the man. "The bitch bit me, she fucking bit me!" Jenkins roared in anger. He enters the blue-lit corridor, red lines running at waist height along the wall indicating it's service nature. A shudder forces its way down the length of the underground, shaking the floor and shaking the metal lights above, hitting their metal frames against the wall as their light flickered temporarily. A service announcement came across the corridor "There has been an interruption to the scheduled service, sorry for the inconvenience" the pre-recorded message echoing through the corridor from a beaten vox unit mounted in the wall.

Dax shouted down the corridor,"Anyone here? Hello?"

The echo of his voice came back, empty and hollow, the lack of anything stirring from the depths of the service corridor.

Dax came through the service corridor, out into another tunnel, the whole length of the tunnel awash in red generator lights. A metro train had stood before him, lights completely dark, the red glow giving it an eerie atmosphere. Dax feels a chill run up his spine as he views the train in its eerie lighting inside the next tunnel. His body is screaming at him to turn back, his head feels like an upset beehive as he walks towards the train curiously. He silences his bodies outcries, anxious to find out what is in the train.

The man from before sat on the lip of the metro door on the side of the train, looking once more at the pocket watch of his. He stood in the direct path of Dax, looking down at his watch and then back to him. "I wouldn't go in there if I were you" he said.

"You answer me but, although I never ask you questions, what am I" said the man, flipping the face of his pocket watch close, before placing it lovingly once more into the folds of his double vested coat. He sat on the edge, of the metro door, his leather feet kicking their heels against the beaten exterior of the metro.

Her almond eyes traced his, before laughing at him, "Enjoy it while you can, this fine body is going to stop a gas leak" she said. With a snap of her wrist, a visored piece was brought on top of her head, locking into place completing the transformation. She strode out to meet the rest of the team before disappearing into the crowd of governmental workers.
