The man tilted his bowl hat, blocking the sun from his eyes, as he continued to look down at pocket watch. The sounds of a collapsing building reverberated through the square, the screams of a panic induced crowd growing in pitch and volume as they ran away from the origin of the collapse. The debris field flowing across the street, slowly overcoming the people with smoke and dust. The man faced Dax "A city is superficial, the lives of many not so." he said, with a tip of the hat, before jumping down from the ledge, to the upturned under carriage of an overturned 10-ton lorry, slowly jumping from foothold to foothold as descending into the darkness of the under ground.

Claire sighs. She grabs the child and walks out of the store. "Hello? Anyone there!" she shouts.

The girl turned around in the interior of the black HAZMAT truck, coming face to face with Jason. She was leaning forward to talk to him, a hint of her cleavage escaping from the neck of her suit. "Look, I told you we are just as much in the dark as you. All I know is that it must be serious since all arms of the military and government have been mobilized." she said with a sigh, closing her almond color eyes. The sound of a collapse off in the distance brought her attention to the front once more.

People were running away as the all consuming dust and debris came flying down the length of the street, the sounds of metal crumpling to flying debris. She grabbed Jason by the cuff of his shirt, pulling him into the car, over compensating with her strength and sending him barreling towards her. She fell back as Jason fell face first into her bust.

The sounds of klaxons could be head along the western length of the street, the sounds of stampeding people screaming in terror. She strode through the dust, it's dark soot catching the rays of the sun between the towering buildings on all sides. The kid stirred slowly in her arms, nestling his hair against her bust.

Her cries for help were drowned out by the ambient panic of the crisis.

Jason stayed there perhaps a moment too long, day dreaming about the mounds his face was between.He quickly snapped out of it though, and righted himself, blushing a little. "Oh dear, I am uh... Really, really sorry about that... Uh, I'm Jason..." Jason quickly put out his hand, eager to change the subject and deflect some of the embarrassment. Hopefully she hand't noticed Jason's reluctance to remove his head from her chest...

Claire sighs. She is surprised by the feel of the child's head on her chest. She walks towards the screaming. "Hello?! Does anyone want a child?!" she shouts.

The girl stood up, following his actions in turn, gingerly rubbing at her breasts where had impacted them with his face. "My name is Medea" she said with an extended hand, before taking it away quickly as she stuck her head out of the vehicle. The area had been completely smoked out, the dust hanging stagnantly in the air. Medea used extended her left arm, pulling her breast up with the action, stretching her hand to close the door, trying to prevent any more of the smog into the vehicle. She turned back to Jason, motioning for him to take a seat, before tapping the colleague from before, prompting him to drive.

Through the dust emerged the form of a soldier, clad in the fatigues of a private defense contractor, one arm drawn above and away from his body, hand closed in fist. Behind him stopped two more soldiers. He whistled a long high pitched whistle. "What have we here gentlemen a damsel in distress?" he drew closer to her, bringing his arm to rest on either side of his body, an assault carbine hanging slung around his neck.

Jason sat, and looked down at his feet. His hands fidgeted around nervously. "So Medea... You have no idea what's going on? Yet the government called in all forms of military?"

"Johnathon, or whatever the hell your name was, asking the same question twice and expecting a different answer is the very definition of madness." she scalded him. "As of right now, you know what I know, what the top brass knows is beyond a third tier salary governmental worker." she said, bringing both hands to rest on her knees, hands folded atop one of another upon which she rested her chin.

"It's not just the military though, a bunch of the governmental agencies have been deployed, the international chemical warfare agency has also been called in, as well as special task bodies." she said, sighing at the gravity of the situation.

"It's Jason. And you can't blame me for wanting to know what's going on. I just saw a guy die right in front of me. That's a little worrying, don't you think?" Jason spoke up a bit, even getting a little bit ticked off as he spoke. He hated people not remembering his name, it was a sign of disrespect. Then again, he did practically shove his face into this woman's chest, so maybe he deserved it.

"Holy shit, International Chemical Warfare? Must be incredibly serious, then..." Jason starred out the window, trying to make sense of what was going on through the smog.

Medea stared at him glaring with her brown eyes. "It is serious enough to get all of us mobilized, how many of us are actually needed is a different story as the disaster continues to unfold before us. My bet is that the central governing body of the country is wanting to play extra safe more than anything else." she said irritated at the fact this man did not deal with the death of people every day like she had back in her days of the army, a lifetime away from her now.

The driver of the armored truck turned his head away from Meda, listening in on the bead in his ear, before pulling their vehicle away from the convoy down an alley. "Medea, seems we have a gas leak near the hospital" he said.

Claire chuckles nervously. "Uh, hey, could you guys take this child off my hands?" she asks.

The soldier clad in the navy blue of the private security corporation came closer, a smile across his face, his teeth impeccably white. He stood approximately six feet five inches tall, with a wide set frame bristling in the fatigues of his uniform, wrapped in the tools of his trade. The other two stood on either side of her, drawing closer to her. "We could take him off your hands" he said with a chuckle, reaching out with both arms.

Jason turned his attention back to Medea. "A leak in the hospital? Can't be good... Say, why am I here? I'm not going to be much help at all..." Jason squirmed a bit in his seat, thinking about how many dead could be at the hospital. He didn't like hospitals. What with all the sick and elderly, just sitting around, waiting to die...

Claire smiles. "Okay, could you find him a good family?" she asks as she hands him over.

She looked at him with a glare. "Good question, why are you here jae-jae?" she asked vehemently. He was giving off the impression of not caring about other people, a scrub in a time where good character was supposed to emerge. She guessed it was true what they said, that true character came out in times of need.

"Then we can punt you out of the car latter you tosser, but not until we get there." She looked back from their seats, into the back of the truck, four other technicians already prepping for the disaster.

The man leaned in closer, putting his arm above the child, on either side of the girl, trapping her up against the display of a lingerie store. "We could indeed find him a good family" he said, his breath hot upon her neck.

Claire chuckles nervously again. "Uh, thanks. I've gotta go now..." she says as she starts to quickly walk away.

Jason squinted his eyes and starred at Medea, trying to figure out what her problem was with him. He said nothing, a little glad they would leave him, but also a little worried at what state he would be left in. Should he stay with the professionals, or book it and try to figure this out on his own...?
