I am a well studied person. I went straight into second year biochemistry with the intention of getting a double major in micro immunology and cell biology with the specialization of learning how to make vaccines. I found out this was not the dream majors I wanted to get and promptly dropped out of the program. From there I spent 2 years trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life, from trying interpetive dance, to creative writing, to journalism and philosophy. While the common census is that phiosophy is garbage and any drunk university student can learn it, the truth is that much further removed once you get into advanced philosophy. Its not what to think, but how to think. That being said I have a soft spot for the works that Heidegger tried to bring about, and later touched upon in the playwrite and philosophers work in a play called awaiting oblivion. Heidegger beleived we lost our historical dasein due to the loss of the importance of being, and traces back all the important steps man has taken because of the greeks encounter with the concept of "is".
That being said, I am in a different program than philosophy. However don't stereotype/dumb down the greatness of the greeks into butt-piratry.
