This one looks good, but too much glare. Nice work nevertheless. I would love the see the G-Mon model your working on.

I need G-Mon to post a swf and I can take it from there. If not, she's going to take ages.

That's the same amount of glare PShapes used. I can turn it off or on. Toning it down is a little harder.

I'm actually trying to repurpose 'SAX' Samus's armor for a Phazon Hypermode Samus (and in turn my Dark Samus)

it's looking pretty, the shine is just a tint away from the shadow-ey look

the makeup colour looks a little bit off, if you don't mind me saying..
and I guess i'll need to make some new variables for the whites of her eyes, blush colour, lips, etc.
while I'm at it, want a new hair colour for our shadow sam? maybe ash grey...

oh yeah, with g-mon's model, the line carrying down her leg will almost definitely not line up well when animated so.. uhh... yeah.. good luck on the re-draw :P

Oh yeah, I know how frustrating those lines are, I'm banding them off. As for the hair, I just copied the effects exactly, leaving alone what he had left. I'm thinking of an even lighter grey though. (What makeup?)

Thinking about how to correct that shine. I'll experiment tommorow.

for the makeup I meant the blush under the eyes and the lips.
in my opinion, the cherry red lips stand out too much, and the pink blush looks out of place too. I liked the purple blush and black lips that were there in the original..
as for the shine, just a little tint or brightness under 'colour effects' should do the trick (and save us making another symbol.)

I'm not sure if any of this makes sense, so I'll do a little knock up of what I'm talking about!

Ok, I've played around with some colour effects and here's what I've got.

Shine set to -80% brightness, (I think it looks cooler when the shine is darker than the rest)
Hair set to -80% brightness too, (only did bangs, didn't want to play around with your sorting system)
Eye whites darkened slightly,
Blush set to tint #6B54A3 @ 100%,
and lips painted the old fashioned way.

tips for your next update 8-)
now, go get 'em!

the bone tool links symbols together and animates them on a pivot,

if it worked properly, animations would become a million times easier, less messy and more 'natural' looking.
..shame it doesn't though...

that guy doesn't explain a whole lot... in fact, I'd be more confused if I didn't already know all this stuff..
I did get thinking during this vid, though.. and playing around with free transform, making dummy hand extensions and playing with properties solved almost all of my problems.

I'll rig up some samus parts and see if this works out after-all..

also, I'm gonna have to learn a little bit of as3.. (WAAAH)

I don't know why you people redo the models. I liked the original Samus models more than the new versions

Wasn't us who redid them. That's PShapes's new style. I just use what I'm given.

Alright, I sortof tweaked the makeup. (I didn't realize that the original Shadow had purple blush and lipstick.)
Unfortunatly, the Flash I'm using (Macromedia), doesn't have any 'Color Effects' tools. (Possibly because I don't use symbols, or because it doesn't have it, I just can't fid anything like it.) All my stuff is done the old fashioned way.

Here's my update. If G-Mon can post that swf, I can make a beserk mode or 'Blood Shadow Mode' as I call it.
