Hello, and welcome to the Amurnat OOC thread. Signups are open right now!

A bit of planning-related things, you should read this before starting your character sheet!

At the beginning of the RP, I am going to give your characters each a personal, custom and very legibly written letter from the King, and then place them in the town at different points. It'll be their job to use their skills to find the gathering point!

I'm going to likely accept six applications at most, and I don't plan on having late joiners. If there's more than six applications, I'll evaluate and see who makes the cut- If I like them all, there may just be a higher volume of players...

I plan on beginning the RP April 13th, Friday. Applications will close April 12th, Thursday. This gives me time to finish schoolwork and evaluate the applications I've gotten.

While I am not going to retype most of the details of the world of Amurnat, you can read about the geography and other related things here.

STUFF YOU'RE GOING TO WANT TO READ WHEN MAKING YOUR CHARACTER:
Races

The available races, including descriptions, magic specialisations and stat bonuses include:
Human.
    The race with the least magically capable members. Those who can use magic are inherently skilled in the use of Arcane magic, and are classified 'Wizards'. Humans are also incredibly adaptive, enough so that having sex with nearly anything runs the risk of getting them pregnant with a crossbreed. Humans begin with an extra point in both Strength and Charisma. Wizards begin with an extra point in Strength and Intelligence.

Forest Elf
    Natives of the forests of the Wonder, Forest Elves have thrived with suprising survival skills. They are talented with Earth and Water magic. Forest Elves begin with extra points in Strength and Agility.

Deep Elf.
    Deep Elves are a cave-dwelling variant of elf, whom are more agriculturally-minded and frailer than Forest Elves. Deep Elves generally use their affinity for Stone magic to create their homes, and the illusory Shadow magic to help them repel attackers.

(Half-Elves are an available race; They get the Human stat bonus, but can choose to use magic from the elf background they are from [Forest or Deep])

Spriggan.
    Spiriggans are a curious race of plant people. Their diet is purely vegetarian, and they are incapable of using Fire magic. However, Spriggans have a formidable control of Nature and Ground magic, which keeps them healthy. Spriggans begin with an extra point in Intelligence and Appearance.

Draconian.
    Draconians are a common type of crossbreed, commonly made when an adolescent dragon male mates with a human female. Their scales change color depending on what magic they were raised on, though many have red scales, as they are naturally inclined to Fire magic. The next most common kind of Draconian is the Teal variety, which are skilled with Electric magic. Draconians begin with one-point bonuses to Strength and Intelligence.

Werefolk (Furries.)
    Werefolk is an umbrella term for crossbreeds that bear animal-like features, which can include fur, feathers, muzzles or paws, even hooves. They are usually created when a human female has sex with a large beast such as a great wolf, mountain lion, or unicorn. The features they get depends on their father; the son of a unicorn would have a horselike lower half, and sometimes the muzzle and horn as well (like a minotaur!) Werefolk can use a school of magic if one of their parents were skilled in one. For example, a Wolf Furry with a Wizard mother and a large wolf father could use Arcane magic. Werefolk start with stat bonuses in any two stats, but these bonuses cannot stack!

The Types and Rules of Magic

Magic is very prelevant in the world of Amurnat. Not everyone in the world can use magic, however! If you are born able to use magic, you will usually have a high capacity for that type of magic. However, if you can use magic, you can learn to use other types of magic as well (with one exception) but you will never use them quite as good. Races with a profinity for a certain magic will nearly always be better at the magic than races that are not.

Maintained, heavy use of magic will cause a bit of wear on the user. They may get hungry (and, if used long enough, run the risk of starving to death) or fatigued. Magic can even 'backfire' depending on the way and efficiency of its use.

The ways I explain these magics being used are NOT the only ways they can be used! Be creative!

Arcane
    This is the school of magic that is almost completely restricted to Humans. Arcane magic is mainly a utility magic- It grants abilities such as telekinesis and levitation. Focused into a single shape, Arcane magic can even be used as ammunition for weapons. Arcane magic is also required to make runes, which are most directly used to augment weapons with other elements. Runes CANNOT be purely Arcane.

Fire
    Fire magic is mainly as it is labelled- This magic allows the creation of fire without tinder, the manipulation of fire, and a natural resistance to fire. A rather straightforward school of magic.

Water
    The beautiful, flowing magic that can control the flow of water, and used correctly, can draw it out of plants. Blood, however, is oddly enough uncontrollable with this school of magic, though tears and sweat work. Skilled water mages have been known to be able to breathe water with clever use of runes.

Ground
    Ground magic is, essentially, the ability to move dirt, mud, sand, generally most types of soil. Another Magic that is a bit more minded towards utility- Those skilled in Ground magic are known to be useful (and well-paid) farmhands, being able to till land without moving from the porch.

Nature
    Nature magic allows the user control over and creation of plants. Spriggans are known to use this to camoflauge themselves, being able to grow plants on their own bodies.

Rock
    Rock magic is primarily the control over solid stone. This can be used to even lift stones from pavement for use. Rock magic is generally used while creating metal, as those skilled in it can move and meld molten ores into shapes with the help of an accompanying Fire magic user.

Electric
    A rather straightforward school of magic. Electric users can create, control and resist electricity in any form. The widest known use for Electric magic is in charging large crystals that can power entire cities.

Shadow
    Shadow is a magic that can literally bend shadows, even being able to pry them from the ground. Shadow magic cannot directly influence its environment- However, it can alter minds, disorient, and many other things...


The world is in a "Victorian Dungeonpunk Fantasy" era, so keep this in mind when making your character! Robust guns like blunderbusses exist, but are generally unused or untrusted, for example. Swords are still very prelevant as well...

This is going to have sex in it! If you have any fetishes that you are absolutely not okay with, let me know when you post your sheet. (Though, I absolutely won't do guro, scato or watersports)

thread looks really nice :D

if i can i may use one of my old characters from a long time ago: kalia. she was a human with draconic blood due to a curse laid upon her parents (so she's kinda like half draconian but her only features were her wings she could make appear and disappear) and hunted dragons (she would absorb their blood to make her "berserk" mode where she unleashes her inhibitions more powerful) and bandits with a giant spear that glowed with red fire

lol! this thread brings back so many memories but im kinda changing her up a bit so she might fit this thread

Hmmmm... The wings appearing/dissapearing is a bit iffy, but a half-draconian could work. A human with dragon wings, but still posessing the fire magic of their father. Absorbing their blood is a neat idea for me- with fire magic control, she could absorb the 'fire' from draconian blood and use it to heat up her own, making her go 'berserk.'

All in all, neat idea, and with a little adaptation could work for the RP.

Magic User : Nature (major) and Arcane (minor)

Inventory: Twin hidden daggers, Dark blue cloak w/ hood (think of novice robes from Skyrim), random plants.

Tall skinny (not as skinny as Renre) Cat/Dog/Fox/Beaver hybrid. When clean, her fur color is a radiant orange, but most of the time its brown due to her life style. Her ass is small, but not as small (as my other characters), and she has B sized breasts. Her left arm has a massive scar on it, and is slightly smaller in muscle mass then her right. Her legs are very firm and strong, given their small (yet tall) size.
She has blue eyes, dog ears, and a catlike head. Her upper body is fox-like save for the cat arms, and her lower body is beaver-like with the exception of fox legs and dog tail.

A generation above Suraru. Her great, great grandmother was human, but over the next 3 generations she gained fox, beaver, and dog (in that order). Due to the fact she is a quad-hybrid, she avoids people and tends to be shy, thinking she is a monster. She deserted her parents when she was around 8 years old, and learned how to survive in the forest like her older generations. Using her power of nature to keep her alive, she is very agile, breaking her hymen sometime while running from predators, doing splits other other things to get away. However, one time she wasn't so fast and ended up hurting her arm. Using the knowledge she gained from observing and testing things, she was able to save herself, however her left arm is extremely weak and fragile.
The few people she has met, told her that they like her appearance. Others have said her family is a whore of nature. Being too weak to fight, she is pacifist where possible, and kind hearted to those who show kindness to her, but fearful of violent creatures. She has retained her virginity, and tends to keep it that way, having a small hatred to those who show off their bodies, or act slutty. When she ever thinks of love, she would want it to be romantic, with someone to protect her if she ever had to go back into public places.

Seems good to me, aside from her scale color- Draconian scale color corresponds with their magic, so if she were to use electric magic, she'd have teal scales.

Magic User: Yes, fire magic. Also during the peak of battle, Kaleah can invoke her unique ability she has dubbed Heartrage to temporarily unleash the full extent of her draconic powers, giving her unparalleled physical strength, speed and stamina. Also, Kaleah can absorb the fiery blood of dragons to bolster her strength.

Inventory: She carries her Slayers' Glaive around everywhere she goes. It is a very large and very deadly one of a kind enchanted glaive with an obsidian-colored mirrored blade, a sharp tip and a small hook on the back of the blade, that is impervious to heat and can rend through flesh with ease. It is large enough to impale a giant but light enough to be swung with precision. Additionally, beside the usual map and a little bit of food she carries a tiny red crystal jar of "Dragone No. 2" perfume for reasons unknown.

Appearance: Kaleah stands at about 5'5" and has a slender, strong lithe and curvaceous figure, courtesy of her genetics and honed with years of training. Her skin is evenly and mildly tanned across her body and toned muscle is partly visible across her arms and legs (it may not look like much, but she is very strong.) and due to her heritage, a pair of large, blood red wings sprout from her back. She has slightly hawkish but warm facial features, with striking ice blue eyes framed by prominent cheekbones. Her long hair is a dark brown and cascades freely down her shoulders to her neck when not bound into a loose ponytail that trails down her back. Strands drape rebelliously over her eyes and temples. On her left cheek is a blood red tattoo of a serpentine dragon. Kaleah's usually wearing her old, glossy silver-colored platemail armor so much, it's hard to tell what clothes she wears under it besides chainmail. The armor is interestingly designed, with many jagged angles, spikes and recesses like those of mountains with a large shoulderplate for the left shoulder, and embossed with red runes and designs of dragons and vines. The right boot is shaped somewhat like a dragon's clawed foot, and similarly the gauntlets are shaped like claws. There are openings in the back to allow her wings to move about freely.

Bio: Kaleah is a Draconian half-breed, born and almost immediately disowned by her mother to preserve her social status as minor nobility. She was an atypical child, having strong instincts passed onto her by her father that guided her out of the hands of an orphanage at age six and into the world beyond. She quickly became an explorer. One would never expect such a young kid to be so independent, but Kaleah (a modification of a nickname given to her by a Deep Elf around age eight) learned to use her fire magic and wings very effectively to catch and roast her food. But with little direction in life she stumbled into the den of an elderly dragon who had taken an interest in her due to her draconic heritage. He was infamous in his time, having destroyed many villages and slaughtered many warriors and wizards, but was more than willing to educate her with his extremely advanced knowledge of spearmanship, fighting and survival skills. Around age 17, she departed from him with a suit of armor and a glaive (formerly property of a famous warrior who had tried to kill him) and with an instinctual desire to fight dragons to "prove herself" due to their power. Of course, she's also always fancied killing bandits and morons.

So I've been looking at it, an well is there any chance I could tri-crossbreed? I was thinking a char with the human stat bonuses, but be able to use ground and rock magic.

One more question, does magic require a free hand? Is it sort of Skyrim based (I dunno if you've played that) where a spell requires an empty hand? For example, if a player was holding a sword and sheil, would they still be able to use magic?Or is it vocal based? As in spells are accruvated through words or phrases?

Anyways, I'll make a char sheet mow, but leave out a few details until my questions are anwsered.

CHARACTER SHEET:
Name: Jason Argo
Gender: Male
Age and Race: 25 human in appearance, but a crossbreed of human and both elves
Magic User: Yes, ground and stone
Inventory: (See pic for clothing), Hand wraps, a leather backpack containing blankets, water canteens, torches, flint and steel, desert goggles. Also has fifteen bronze throwing knifes/daggers, and one javelin/spear.
Appearance: Jason stands at 6'5", and has very tan skin from living in the desert. He has short, black hair, constant five o'clock stubble and highlighter bright, yellow eyes with cat-like pupils. His ears are pointed, and his canine teeth ate much larger and sharper then a regular humans, giving him a slight werewolf/vampire look.

Bio: Jason's conception was a bit of a cluster fuck. No one is too sure who or what was involved, just that it was between a human and quite a few other races and/or entities. Jason was discriminated in his home town so much that he left, seeking refuge wherever he could find it. For the next 5 years he wandered, learning how to fight, survive and use magic from all sorts of beings. It was then he learned how to tap into his magical abilities, being proficiency in both ground and stone magic thanks to his gangbang of a birth. With his new found talents, he wandered around the deserts for years, training his magical and physical abilities. He prefers to use throwing weapons and magic at range, and uses his bare fists when fighting up close. Jason has not only mastered combat magic his physical abilities in combat, but his survival abilities as well, being able to survive on only what the desert has to offer. His fetishes are succubuses (Not really a fetish, just more attracted to them), large breasts and asses, and corsets.

Appearance: Tanned skin, sky-blue eyes, short black hair
Bio: Garian was born into an aristocratic family, but longed for adventure, on his 18th birthday, he took his money and bought himself a sword and light armor that hid easily underneath his shirt, his coat was cut back to allow better movement and dyed black for night raids. He was a master of what he did and had even gotten himself a mercenary band that looked up to him. 3 years later and that was all in the past, though he still keeps in contact with his favorite merc band that still pillages Taverns, he likes to be alone more than anything. During his years, he had grown to enjoy raping women and tying them up.(Fetish: Rape and Bondage)

I made minor edits to my char's appearance. Just a swap or two to make her easier to imagine, and a bit cuter too. Fox tops are way better then beaver tops :P

Hehehe... Magic is just the energy and type of energy in the body. The way it is activated and used takes some... 'creativity'. Let's say mages like to experiment sometimes.

Vocal-based spells are a common way of focusing, and so is using them through the hands...

EDIT 2: Replaced the Appearance text-description with a reference image, as I thought it would work a little better. Feel free to adjust/adapt his looks to fit his age and such, as I'm a bit fuzzy on how that works out. :P

Name: Ramul Calmino.

Gender: Male.

Age and Race: Teal Draconian; age 56.

Magic User: Yes indeedy, with Electric magic (but he creates it by using wind currents and friction, as he believes that it's more "authentic" that way).

--Starting Spells-- (tentative, pending further review by Cliff)

-Lonchi Ripi: A simple thunderbolt spell. Ramul generates wind currents around his "Zeus" dagger, and hurls a bolt of static electricity forward.

-Taifuzan: Ramul charges his "Thor" sword with electricity, allowing him to perform a more powerful slash. It also slightly extends the slash's range, so that if the blade misses by up to 1.5 inches (about 4 cm), the charge can still hit them with a bit of a shock.

-Shunrai Ryuuken: A hand-to-hand variant of the Taifuzan, in which Ramul generates wind currents around his fist, and uses the static electricity to accelerate his punch like an electromagnet, making it feel like getting hit by a bowling ball. The art itself is not at full power yet, otherwise it'd feel more like a musket shot for his opponent.

Inventory:
--On his right side (unsheathed with his left hand), he carries a bastard sword that he calls "Thor." This is the weapon he fights physically with, and is sharpened to fit that role exquisitely.

--On his left side, he carries a rapier-like dagger that he calls "Zeus." This weapon isn't as sharp as Thor, but is more of a way to "focus" his magical abilities, allowing him to use it more like a gun than a dagger.

--His armor is rather minimal, as the scales covering his chest often prove sufficient. The most he needs is a light steel cup to protect his groin area; aside from that, he just wears a pair of jean-style pants, a blue shirt that breathes rather well, and a pair of leather boots.

--In terms of simple items, he carries a drink canteen, a personal first-aid kit, and a small pouch for snacks. He also carries a piece of a wooden bead necklace, as a keepsake of his departed mother.

Ramul's birth was originally unwanted, as the dragon that was his biological father only passed on his seed by raping a young Electric mage from the nearby Highland town. Despite that, however, she did not choose to abandon him at birth...instead, she raised him in secret, saying that he "should not carry the burden of his father's sins."

For a time, Ramul was raised with love and care. His mother taught him how to use Electric magic, and the black scales that he was born with (or whatever color suggests that his father used Shadow magic) transitioned to a teal color. In time, he became quite talented with his form of magic, using a more innovative form by creating static electricity on wind currents, much as clouds create real lightning. He even had some quite extensive sword training from his mother's old friend, Kal Bolga.

Sadly, it was not to last. At age 27 (roughly 13 in Draconian years), Ramul awoke one night to the sound of a woman screaming. He rushed downstairs, and froze in shock...as he saw his mother being raped once again, this time with a short-sword against her throat. Upon noticing his presence, the rapist throws Ms. Calmino to the floor, and pierces her heart in a swift downward stab.

Much like the unstable nature of electicity itself, and as expected from such an experience, Ramul drew his sword, belted out a roar worthy of his dragon genes, and rushed forward to engage the rape-murderer head-on...

...and was promptly cast down to the floor by a swift repulsion from the enemy's own blade. To throw him and his bastard sword back so easily, with just a short-sword no less, proved that this man was not to be under-estimated...and so...

"Lonchi Ripi!!" (translated: "burst spear")

Ramul skips the incantation for his spell, and fires an instantaneous beam of electricity right at the man's head. The hit connects, but his opponent only moves his head back forward, with a sharp-toothed grin visible amidst the shadowy confines of his hood. He speaks in a deep, almost monstrous tone: "My my, can't say I expected that...if you can improve those skills by the next time we meet, you might just stand a chance..."

With that, the man reveals that he's no simple man at all, as he steps outside, unfolds a pair of pitch-black dragon wings, and takes off into the sky, vanishing into the night's obscurity.

Since then, Ramul has indeed improved his skills. He secretly continued his sword training with Kal, all the way to mastery, and self-taught what skills his mother could not complete. He kept a piece of her necklace with him, as a reminder of that fateful day...and a warning that the black-winged killer could strike again at any time...

*NOTE: Anything going up a male's rectum is something I WON'T tolerate being on the receiving end of. Personal issue with my tastes...and no, I was not unwillingly fingered in the ass at any time in the past, so that's not the reason why.

STATS- (I assumed that, by starting each stat at 1, our final total adds up to 15, not counting racial bonuses. 10 points to distribute + (1 point per stat * 5 stats) = 15 sub-total points, right?)

For stats, your final total will be 20, with 15 distributable stats. I bumped up the amount you're able to distribute, since I considered the limitation Kobolds get on Appearance. (Ignore this; late night calculation and memory derp)

And I do like the sheet. It's well written, kudos. I might encourage... less draconic-blooded characters though, hahaha... Though, I'm going to have a character to control as well, possibly to balance out the troupe that we might end up with. I'm thinking a spriggan...
