Armageddon-how are we going to beat it?

It would be nice if that could be so, but the problem with that is that there would have to be a leader. If there are some who don't trust that leader, then it's very difficult to have everyone come together.

With that said, it would still be nice if we did a little more to further humanity as a whole. There are a ton of things we could do that would be hugely beneficial, but we don't seem to be seeking them out.

Armageddon... why stop it? Humans suck, and are a massive plague that will kill anything just so it survives. Urbanization is a great example of this. So I say let it happen, as long as its quick and painless for most people I'm fine with it.

Now apocalypse is different, it means change (where armageddon means end of the world). That's why Fallout, Nook of Eli, Mad Max, Man and his Son, etc are titled post apocalyptic, not post armageddon. If you don't want humanity to die, then go for apocalypse. However, the worst of mankind will probably be brought out then....

Not all humans are that bad. Most human beings now are insane, ignorant, crazy, or incredibly stupid. But that doesn't mean every human being should be destroyed.

In all fairness, you could qualify 95% of humanity starving to death and 3% being killed brutally by a huge asteroid as armageddon.

As well, it seems that Armageddon is the name of the battle that will cause the end of the world in Christian lore, and an apocalypse is defined as a "lifting of the veil". These two definitions are completely different from how I've been using them. O.o

If Armageddon happens you can't "beat it" The concept of Armageddon is the ending of humanity and everything else. Period, if it was "A giant freaking asteroid (A meteor is what we see when the smaller asteroids or comets get to close and burn up in our atmosphere giving us the lovely view of a burning piece of space debris that we then wish on LOL((Ironically humans wish for selfish things which qualify them to be "space trash wishes")) is going to hit earth how do we stop it?" That would make more sense, you can't stop the concept of Armageddon though, if it's going to happen it will happen. If it doesn't happen you don't call it Armageddon you call it "A near miss" aka: OMFG WE WERE SO LUCKY WE CAME UP WITH SOMETHING BEFORE WE ESPLODED.

If there was a giant Asteroid however I would suggest we paint a giant bulls-eye on the side of it, shoot a few rockets to derail it's course and when it almost hits another planet several star systems away causing that planet to seek retribution for the obvious attempt on their planet which they just chopped the meteor up with their advanced lasers that outline the perimeter of the planet. Laughing at our somewhat feeble attempt at trying to derail the damn thing, then coming to kill us. That would be Armageddon.
