[50/100 Interacting with Riko in Hot Springs]
Chiyoko splashed gently, a bit more, as he wrestled with his body refusing to co-operate with his brain, the channels of communication blocked by his pain receptors. He gave a brutish smile across the water to Riko, before continuing to ease his body as deep as the spring would allow. Looking across once more when in position, he ended up breast height with the girl, before she crossed her arms, her bust hidden below smooth arms. She reddened slightly before talking in a whisper of a voice, "I am sorry if I was rough on you and your friends." She follows this up with another barely audible line, "I sometimes forget how fragile others are." almost as if she was referring to humans alone.
Chiyoko sat neck deep in the water, trying to keep everything below his chin in the hot water with the intention of easing the throbbing sensation across his body. From here he wrestled lightly with the fabric of his blue kimono, trying his best to wash out the accumulated dirt and grass stains from his rather adventurous day. He struggled the best he could, pain burning the full length of his muscles, the built up lactic acids as well as the increased blood flow to his burst capillary veins irritating his very mind. He turned over his kimono, the crest of his family symbol still struck out by sword cut. Frustrating him he stood up, completely exposed from knees up, before tossing his kimono as far from the body of water as he could.
"I do not know if you were rough on the other humans." he replies, matching as gentle of a tone of voice as hers. "I have only just met them, and most by sight only." He stopped, trying to remember the name of the awkward guy the morning before. Shiro, Hero, Hiri, Shehiro? He couldn't quite remember the name. He sat back down, before putting his head back against the lip of the hot spring. "For all I know he might have got what he deserved, from what I see you seem to be a fairly reasonable person." He contemplates it in his head a bit more, it was funny how she referred to the other humans as his friends. If anything he knows the spirits thus far better than them, a point he would have to later rectify.
"For me the most important lesson I learned today, is that despite any of the barriers our two races may have, there is enough commonality that we both feel each-other's joys, and each-other's hurts. Whether it is sharing a smile, or being concerned about one another." He looked at the flower in her hair, the droplets glistening from the moonlight hanging over the sky. "You helped me with my arm, without me even having to ask for it, and I gave you a flower in thanks, and the fact that you still wear it means we at least connect on some common level." He motioned with his hand, running it slightly up the length of her hair, stopping just short of the flower. He waded back a little further giving the spirit more room.
"The fact that we can share experiences on the same level, emotions, it can open up a whole world of understanding between humans and spirits. Friendships can be born, and adventures shared, tragedies overcome, and a triumph in co-operation.". He stopped once again, getting too philosophical for such a relaxing mood.
"We are all fragile is what I am trying to say I guess, it is only our connections to others that keep us strong." He made a small splash, watching the crests of each ripple reflect the moonlight. Watching it crash across the hot spring he once again met the body of the spirit across from him. The moon reflecting off the hot spring, like a mirror into the soul, illuminating the spirit, and the gruesome scar she bore across her torso. He was curious and wanted to ask, but thought better of it, each person baring their private pains. "We sometimes forget how fragile others are, and how pain really is." echoing her statement from before.
It was a lot of one sided talking, he felt like he was lecturing instead of sharing a relaxing moment, but the girl had invoked such a strong emotion from him. What had she gone through, what is the scar she bore. He would ask her once he knew her better. "It is getting late Riko, and I should probably go get some sleep before the day turns over. Thank you for taking care of my arm." He extends his hand once again, ending the night as he started the day. "So until next time, stay in good health so I can put another flower in your hair." He smiled once more.
