Jon's heart skips a beat or two when he realizes that's Kaythleene on the stretcher...but seeing how she doesn't look too bad, aside from the arms, he gradually calms himself down. Well, now he has another reason to help out, seeing how someone he cares about is on this ship. They were only in each other's company for a little while, but Jon already feels something of a connection with Kath, like she's already become a good friend of his. Of course, his romantic relationship with Sue kinda puts Kath in the friend-zone already, but he still feels appropriate attachment to her regardless.
With that in mind, Jon now has an idea on how he can at least do something for her, if nothing else. Finding the nearest free seat (be it in the Medical Bay's waiting room, or the passenger room he was in earlier), he sits down, opens the image editing software on his PDA, and begins designing a "get well soon" card for Kath. Of course, he still has access to his weapons, in the (hopefully) rare case he'll need them, but they're stored away in his travel-pack for security reasons.
"Let's see here, what background should I use? Sunset?...nah...cloudy blue sky?...that should work..."After quite a while of deliberate work and organizing his get well soon card, Jon saves the finished product:
