One of the options he HAS to choose to progress past the beginning of the game is an attempt to seduce the nun.

Actually the only option you have to take is the "What am I doing here?" one, but oh well.

I find the game to be quite good and its pretty easy to get invested into it, but my computer keeps freezing when I'm playing it >.<

Is it just me that's getting this?

...If it's me you're talking about, I ain't mad at all.
I often capitalise words as a means of emphasis, but I guess it may be misleading, since this is the second time someone on the forum has wondered if I was vexed with them when I'm actually not at all irritated.
Can't hear the "tone" of words through a text-only medium of communication, an unfortunate limitation, I guess.
Ain't no thang, though.

This game is amazing! I've only finished Chapter 2 and I have to say the story exceeds my expectations.

My greatest criticism would be that aesthetically there are some rough edges. For example some of the portraits look too distant stylistically from others. Even if portraits don't look the best, the important thing is that they are all consistent. It's very noticeable and jarring to see stylistically different faces on the same person let alone different people.

Also some of the 3DCG clothing choices seem to be mismatched with their sprites. This could be that the sprites are static and difficult to change? Or it could be the limitations of 3DCG's clothing options. But it would do this game a huge service to establish consistency between character models and portraits.

Gonna play the next 3 chapters tomorrow, looking forward to more!

Mmm! Not sure if I've said it yet, but that skip feature is pretty nice, especially if you like to try different routes. I'm not sure how you did it, but good job.

It's somebody else's script, same with the one used for energy generation in combat.

Anyone have any tips on defeating the succubus during the trial with Velvet? I've died 4 times to her now and it feels like I'm playing Dark Souls against her.

Haha, no, I don't think any of that appears in Shakespeare. Basically I read too many comics featuring Etrigan and decided it would be interesting to have a particular class of Nightspawn that always spoke in verse. Too late I realized that I hate writing in verse, resulting in the relative dearth of gargoyles compared to the much more common ogres.

Well, who can blame you for loving something made by Jack Kirby. Honestly, I don't think I ever would have read comics if that guy hadn't invented half the characters. Sadly, and I know this because of my failed attempt at a Jason Blood fanfic, it is really difficult to write characters who only speak in prose. Goddamn rhyming demons, amiright?

I have always, been good, with rhyme.
And It seams, Ive an abundance, Of time.

So if you tell me, what you wish, to say.
I will sit, and with your words, play.

Till, from my fingertips, flows.
A statement. In prose. :ugeek:

I guess the one to mention it will have to be me
But prose is plain language,
while rhyming is poetry.

I knew that, but, after asking five people. (Four of whom said otherwise) I figured I'd just go with the flow, and pray no- one corrected me. *Pointed stare*

If you ever want to get the meanings of words right, you could always try looking in the dictionary instead of trusting in idiotic wrong answers.

Beat her down with your normal attack, and keep yourself relatively healed until she casts the first life drain, and then use "Subdue" until you win.

Or use Distract to keep her "preoccupied." It also damages her. She'll be nerfed a little bit in the next version.

Huh. Weird. I didn't have any trouble with her... though I DID keep her continuously occupied with Distract. I thought the Brute was MUCH harder, though mostly because I was working to regenerate my energy after fighting the girl, and didn't realize I had the physical nuke for a while either.

My first approach with the brute was to straight up burn him down with the physical nuke, without any concern for healing.

... DIDN'T WORK OUT SO WELL : <

To reliably win, I ended up just punching and healing until he got into a spate of misses, and using those to whack him with more impunity.

Still though, this is exactly what I mean by the game isn't bad for what it is, apart from the Francesca thing.

Tactics count for a lot in the battle system, and there's interesting challenge without unfairness or even the need for grinding (though I don't strictly mind moderate grinding).

I... don't really think you can grind, since Darius only gets stronger by bedding named NPCs? At least that's what I got from the little "tutorial".
