Re: Escape!

- Right arm is a bit too high, and looks detached from her torso altogether.
- Her other arm also looks off, like she's thrusting her shoulder forward in a very awkward attempt to shake hands.
- Neck is, again, ridiculously huge.
- Her breasts and upper body are positioned in such a way that it makes it look like she's twisting her spine rather uncomfortably.
- Her ass inexplicably melds with her right thigh. Either that, or she doesn't have an ass at all.
- Her crotch is shoved over to her left, a side-effect of the aforementioned mutant assthigh.
- Really strangely shaped calves.
- Two right hands, but that was an issue on the old model as well.
- Unusually large jaw is a side-effect of the unusually large neck
- Her breasts appear to be just spheres plastered onto her body. Again, the other model had more or less the same issue, but at least it had some perspective that made them sort of look like they were supposed to be there. More so than the flesh-colored orange and pear stuffed into the shirt of this one.

etc. etc. etc.

I'd like to give credit to gorpete for the screen shot that I'm comparing one of my characters too.

As a former art student, I can gladly tell you what is wrong, the succubus worked because of all the minor details you forgot, the first problem is the hands, you had the hands facing the wrong way when you based them off the image it seems, leaving them a little poorly defined and way too small for a person, let alone the fact that if you look at her thumbs, she has two right hands, next, look at the upper part of the succubuss's arm, you see how there is muscle there? Without it her upper arm looks like a flat board, and doesn't contrast well with her lower slightly more muscled arm, not to mention how the shoulder is too high.
Now, onto the legs, the feet are way too small, if you look at the succubus, her feet look that small because of the type of shoes she is wearing, and they bunch up at the bottom, the lower leg is more or less fine, but I'm not quite sure what happened to the top part, as according to your artwork, it looks like her legs attach directly to her crotch and go into her stomach, compare the curve with the succubuss's and your old character, with the new one and you'll notice a big difference. Now we get to one of the harder things to notice, the height, she is way too tall, making her too top heavy to stand normally, the succubuss doesn't look that tall because her rear is depicted, thus making it look like her legs end earlier, since you don't depict a rear, you make it look like her legs go up further, no problems with the waist though, that was too skinny in the old version, and on a final not, the jumpsuit around the chest looks better than a cheesecake shot, although that one is more of a reccomendation than a criticism.

Don't let this discourage you though, the reason I criticise is because I like your work, and I want it to improve.

I didn't trace it or anything, I'm just using it as an example of how everything is proportionate.

Just went and play through it (the second gold key is kind of, why is it there?) but sure, pretty solid at the moment!

Well her neck/throat looks somehow broad, because her head is positioned a little bit too down.
Her feet/shoes looked tiny in the comparison pic.
And I don't like her long hair (not my taste), but that's ok since about 90% voted for the new look.
I didn't intend to confuse you, just thought i could give some constructive criticism.

Fun so far! Played it through without any issues. Although, I will say that the entrance to the basement is hidden a little too well? There really isn't any good reason why the character would mouse over that part of the screen and there isn't really any visual or textual clues that the trapdoor would be there. That is the only part that I was just spinning around in circles going "what am I supposed to be doing here". Maybe shred or wrinkle the carpet a bit in that area.

The older one looks more curvy, maybe you can improve that in the new character.

I definitely agree with everyone about the entrance to the basement. And like gorepete said, all you'd have to do is add a touch to the carpet. I do think this is a good game, though. It's fun, at the very least. I hope to see that later on, the puzzles become more complex, maybe needing more than just one part to complete. That'd be cool.

And as for the new model vs the old...definitely the new. Just looks better overall, and the cleavage certainly doesn't hurt.

I'd say the calf muscles were EVER so slightly too thick. Ever so slightly.

I've taken what you guys have said and I'm trying to improve on what's been mentioned so far. I've added a new character design and have started a new poll. Tell me what you think of about the new character design.

I'd rather you be honest then lie about which one is better.

You really only have to tweak the second version a little to make it great, mainly the curve on the right inner thigh because it still looks as though her legs are coming out of her stomach, the third version, I'm not exactly sure what happened here, her rear is up too high, the boobs are apparently floating, and judging be her general thickness around the waist, she either is leaning forward, and contorting her spine to stand like that, or she is pregnant.

First, I'd like to say I voted for you to keep the original. I find the third one to be out of proportion in many ways and the second seems kind of silly with the cleavage. I don't know, it comes across as trying too hard to be sexy. If that's the case, why isn't the rest of her attire equally revealing? Clearly the person that designed it (in the context of the game) did so with the intention of revealing her assets, right? The first is simple but it works. It's believable in that the character would wake up wearing that instead of a custom-tailored boob suit.

Secondly, I wanted to say that I kind of agreed with the poster before who said that it was a little irritating how the main character adopts the "badass chick" role when she's told to blow the guy. I understand she's annoyed (maybe disgusted?) by it, but the whole threats and stuff... it just undermines the perverse pleasure in the scene and makes her another token femme fatale that just so happens to be blowing a guy who she manages to pacify. After he shot down her first insult, then should have really been it. At least, that's how I felt.

And last, keep working on the game! Don't get caught up in which avatar people like the most. That's working by committee and like the third picture revealed, you end up with a camel (trying to incorporate things from both to make a third that pleases neither camp). Just go on with your story, I say. I was enjoying it.
