... So um the question i want to ask is why the fuzzing hell didn't the other two escape by now?
I mean quite frankly i think the guy is in on it and I wouldn't be shocked if the girl is.
I do find it unlikely that both of them are in on it.

Anyways for the sake of it lets say their not in on it.
Well all they would have to do is open up the safe which they had the code for and open the door.

This start looks very promising. It has a very strong groundwork and seems to be easy to expand upon (doesn't require ridiculous coding to make the game longer) so I can see this taking off. I can help with the art (if you want). Here's something I whipped up in 2 hours. Everything can be adjusted if you give me reference material =3 tell me if you're interested in more.

I'll drop you a hint.
There's a basement and the the way into it is at the same location as the door.
Don't zoom in on the door, you should be able to see the switch.
Also did you repair the switch yet?

I bet advancing further leads to experimental cthulhu tentacle rape! They know this so they're content to stay where they are: masturbating and lounging on the couch. Maybe that picture in the basement is forshadowing :o

Maybe I'm doing something really stupid, or missing something really obvious...but I cannot get the inventory to work for me.

I can open inventory using the I button in the top right-hand corner...but I cannot use anything I've acquired (such as the screwdriver & wire to fix the lightswitch, or the plunger to get whatever it is out of the sink).

Thus, I'm still stuck in the initial room.

I'm playing the in-form version of the game, as of this date, using IE8

IE8... well theres your problem. See if you had chrome or even... firefox i have might help you but no you have IE.

Joking aside there is a trick. You have to click directly on the object and not the box and your going to drag.

Also is there any use for the mirror?

No theres no use for the mirror. While in the early developing I thought I would leak an image of the main character. This was before the opening and the sex scene so there was no way of knowing who you were in the game.

Any reason why when are character first sees the monster she doesn't just go off screaming to the other two?

Also you might want to look in to "collection" for your text. I say this because you have place holders for where buttons will be. (more like you made the button invisible.)
With collections you should be able to say "Okay this, this, and this are visible and add this 'never mind' button after what ever is being displayed.

Believe me arrays and collections are very powerful.

I was joking with sync. Try press " control (plus) - "
This will make the text small and zoom the page out. See it works and if not press control (plus) + to fix it or click on the wrench then go down to zoom and mess around until you get 100% again.

And if you went small than 100% your scene would get small giving you more room to play the game until you find out it's to small.

The way I see this is that the other girl doesn't know about it, and the reson the guy doesn't ecscape is because he wants to have sex with the other girl before he leaves. I'm probably wrong, but thats the way I look at things.

using items is just painfully hard.

the screws on the lightswitch become unclickable after you get the screwdriver. and trying to use any item on anything is just not working.

do i click? double click? drag'n'drop? sometimes just clicking seems to work, sometimes nothing works at all.

Drag and drop. You gotta click the item itself, not just the box that it is in. It ain't the norm, but once you've got it figured out, it ain't terrible.
