Not sure if this is a bug or not

Postby trunks2585 » Tue Jan 12, 2010 1:24 am

Whenever you hit the 'cheat' button to gain quick exp. it adds the cum covering krystal as well, I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but I find it unneeded since the actual sex action wasn't preformed to cover krystal like that, plus if you are already cheating to get quick exp. might as well skip having to take all those baths as well right?

it's the system in the game, the game script follow's the amount of experience,
normally you would gain exp from sex,
and sex would give you a more cum dressed look,
so thats how it fits into each other =)

game script -> sex -> exp = cum
game script -> cheat -> exp = cum

hope this helped you with your question ^^

I think ultimately the cheat button will disappear for non-developer releases, or be replaced by something else. It's a handy way to test scenes but not really much point in keeping it once we start bringing the game-play together.

Yep! dont want to spoil the fan's ;) great idea, i bet its exactly what playshapes had with the cheat button,
but i also suggest we should make an way of saving the game,

Agreed on that. The Cheat button is a great way of returning to a previous score if you reload the game. Please don't drop it until some kind of multi-platform save system works.

Saving will become a possibility in v0.3. The only difficulty with that is that Flash stores the save-games in stupid places on different systems, it's possible I could create a simple web-interface here at renara.com so that the game can save to a (hopefully) always-available location. That way you just need to choose a username and password so you can get a previous game back.

why not make it save to a folder then that comes with downloading the game? I've seen this done to other games.

An older method may work as well; saving via 'passwords'.

my main concern is that if we set up some site to save data that many problems could arise that would mean no more save data so i think the best coarse of action is that if you want to save it we make a game file for it and then put a save folder where data can be save though i am not an expert on the subject of the coding for this so renara do you know how this would work?

Googling this was near the top.

So the short answer is; for flash 10+ save/load local files would not be impossible.

Ah, wasn't aware that was a feature, in all older versions you have no choice of where your save-files go! As the plan is to upgrade to ActionScript 3.0 we may as well update to Flash 10 as well (we probably have to for AS 3.0 actually), as it has a few other nifty features we can use.
