How about a plant race? I tried doing a personification of the Deku Dabas and that huge plant from Wind Waker from LoZ, didn't make them too anthro, though, more animesque.

Well, the dabas are usually purple or crimson with a dark green. Think of camo green. The boss plant from WW was VERY colorful, very neon. Yellow, white blue.

Then there are some that looked like something form Mushroom Kingdom.

Those wip's are looking pretty good. Really like the colors and overall design you're using on all of them.
