I think it could work with just a shield (better than any magical device). It could work as you explained. Maybe in both ways: just carrying it grants some damage reduction, and using it an additional damage reduction.

I agree with you. Anyway, most of people prefer a big release instead of small ones. I think fappers won't be so happy with small releases. I'm not planning to add too much H content. Just 2 or 3 H events.
