New version of the SWF is up. For Christmas (very late and over for some already, I know, sorry, I had to work yesterday and today), you get many presents! Of clothing! Yay?

Uh, let's tally this up here: 4 new Samus Aran (armor), 4 new No Category (plus I moved Digfree's Peach Zero here), 3 new Krystal (with uggo jaw, sorry again, I've been trying my damndest to line it up properly). That's a total of 11 new costumes. Thanks muchly to corta, whose template made this much easier to add once I stopped trying to chop off the working bits to force them into place.

Oh yeah, and I'll redo the hands later as well, since corta only seems to have fists.

EDIT: Um, I was wondering, is your only capability reskinning and adding interactable objects to the already made template. I'm not trying to belittle you actions (it's amazing what it is), but I have a trio of Koopa Colors (Basic Red and Green and Spike Shelled Blue with Shades in the works), and a Koopa Paratrooper (Sans Flapping). Also had some graphics underway for a Star Suit. And if you want I can whip up some other 'musroom' sprites.

If you're really eager I can block together some other levels if you can use them.

My first post!)

This is great stuff. I've followed this since the original from Playshapes. Are you planning on adding levels or just character tweaks? I'd love it if it became a full 8 level game!

Wow, lot's of replies! O_o Well, I'll start with the one I missed before.

super8crazy Wrote:great work so far but why did you delet shadows heels?
it was better with heels on.

Shadow is as corta made her. I don't recall her having heels in any version....

aznjimmykid Wrote:Hey can you put boots on both naked or skin samus it would look a little better worry about the little things thats what makes a perfect game

Boots I can do. However, there may be others who want the feet, and I can't do both without adding a major amount of code. I guess I'll do the boots for now (Shadow too), and if more people complain than like it then I'll switch it back.

I've been learning flash bit by bit since October, and coding is the major part of that learning. I'm no artist, though, so reskinning is the easiest way for me to add new content. I'd be quite happy and honored to include new levels, especially if I don't have to make them myself ;p. I had plans for a world 2 that would be able to make use of the Koopa troopers and paratroopers, though I was just planning on stealing the sprites from somewhere (notably Melvin from Another Tail), and world 3 beetles were going to transform into Morton clones.

However, I've intentionally left new levels off the table until I get done with new scenes for the Goombas and an extended Morton scene because of the amount of work involved. And those I've been putting off by doing costumes because of the work involved. And costumes I originally didn't want to do because of the work involved.... It's a vicious cycle of laziness.

I love the idea of a full 8 level game myself, but I also have to keep telling myself that this is still Playshapes' game, and he hasn't dropped the project yet, as far as I know. For now, though, I'll just put it off until I really get worried about it (yay, procrastination works! :D).

Newest SWF is up along with the FLAs, finally (sorry for the wait). Unexpected file format, though? As long as it's been unpacked from the RAR, you should be able to open it with Flash CS3 through CS5. I've been using Flash CS5 to edit it, but it should be in Flash 8/Actionscript 2.0 format.

Whoops! My bad. Bras are fixed now (btw, fire is the one with the dress, burn is the naked one that shouldn't have a bra). Unfortunately for the costumes, there's no simple on/off switch for a single piece. Even corta's parts have been re-coded so that I only have to use one line to change the whole costume, instead of coding each piece one-by-one (15 parts to update multiplied by 13 costumes is a lot of copy/pasting).

Blargh, I gotta say, you're doing a freakin amazing job! It's weird that you're getting quite a few whiners in various aspects, but you're doing an admirable job of dealing with them too, lol. Just wanted to post and say that Playshapes has most definitely dropped the project--his post on his Newgrounds account clearly states that he is not making any further versions of Mario is Missing. So as long as he's okay with it (and I hope/bet he is!) it sounds like MiM is all yours to keep kicking butt with.

Oh, one bug I noticed--once you finish the game in this hacked version, the extra scenes' have some weird static bursts in the sound effects O_o Freaked me out first time. iirc I think one is when Bowser is going at peach, sounds like something exploded on a mic, lol.

New version is up with fixed hands, I think I've got Krystal and Blaziken's jaws looking normal now, and Liz has been added to the Krystal character select.

Sorry, I'm not understanding you. Do you mean that you want to see Peach's eye color change between costumes?

Sorry, SteelSaurus, I forgot to ask about the Star Suit. I really do want to have a star power-up that will allow the character to, for example, see all of the Goomba sex scenes back-to-back(-to-front-to-boob-to-face-etc. :D ).

I hope you just mean a star icon and possibly a suit to indicate star power. Apart from costume and creature design I can do little more in terms of coding and animation. But for now I'll just deal with the mushroom.

(Quick question, percent wise, how much bigger are the mushroom breasts than regular?)

Im a huge fan of Nova so i dont really like that when you take the the flower the character changes i think it would be better if when you play as Krystal and you take the flower you turn red and so on.

Sorry, but I'd have to drop an entire line of costumes (everything that comes with the fire flower power-up) for this. You're just going to have be more careful not to lose Nova. Incidentally, if you do lose her you can get the costume again with the burn mushroom.

Chaos Samus won't work until either an SWF or FLA with her in it comes out. The best I can do is to see if I can trace it into flash and then break it apart. Goron girl is beautiful and will be added. For the two pokemon I will ask for Mr. D's permission first (first time asking, but I should start at some point so I'm not just stealing everything).

The yellow Samus is fine and...hey, wait. Steelsaurus did this?

I do mean just a suit and icon. I might not even need a suit if I bother to learn how to change colors with actionscript. The coding is something I'd do myself because it would need to be added to each of the Goomba scenes, and it shouldn't be too difficult to program.

By the way, should I be crediting you for the costumes from corta's template (for Zero-suit, Fusion suit and armor, and Justin Bailey at least)? And can I use yellow Samus (please tell me you have a better name for her)? Second time asking for permission! :D

The actual change is in the eye object, so this was Playshapes' original concept. However, I'll make the change anyway because I don't like the ditzy look she gets either.
