2.5d survival horror adventure. (Blender)

Postby tentacleMonsters » Sun May 05, 2013 3:42 am

I've been lurking for awhile, and finally decided to try and make a game of my own using blender. The initial idea was something like those sidescrolling "rape avoidance" games, like Demon girl or space escape, but with the ability to move foreword and back as well (which is easy when working in 3D), so without further ado, a few screens of my progress so far (not a lot to look at yet, mostly just showing that I have made progress XD)

So far, I have a pseudo rape minigame in place, which includes a consequence for struggling free vs letting it finish with you (if you struggle free, the monster continues to pose a threat, but if you let it finish, it will "die", no longer posing a threat) You will have to use this as a tactic as you progress.

Now, getting raped by the monsters is not going to be the danger here. Getting raped by large groups is, so as you progress, you will learn ways to manipulate the zombies by splitting up of monsters into manageable groups and eliminating them by preemptively fucking them, or leading a monster away form an objective leaving you a clear path. Basically, sex isn't always a thing to be avoided.

Things to do next:
basic AI for zombies, so it can wander around a bit when it's not chasing you, just to make things more interesting.
add some detail to the level, so you have something to look at
finish adding a few more animations, like a climax animation and zombie death animation
give the girl the ability to run short distances to escape danger, at the cost of stamina (leaving you more vulnerable to attack)

UPDATE:

demo
Anyway, Curious to get some feedback, see how much interest there is for something like this.

Cheers!
TM

This actually seems like a good alternative to ROR games, which I generally detest. It doesn't seem logical to me to make a porn game in which the objective is to avoid all the porn you can. What you have proposed is an elegant solution to that particular quandary.

The art looks sound, if understandably sparse at this point. I appreciate the bravery in using a young looking model, though that might turn some people off of the game. Are you planning any character customization? I realize that using 3d models character customization can be a bear, so I for one would understand if it weren't planned; but it would be nice. Even a character selection option would be good, picking between a selection of a few models.

That being said, how firm are you on the "zombie horror" thing? Couldn't it be more of a monster thing? I personally am not into necrophilia, even when it's reanimated . . . but if that's what you are going for I salute you, there are far too many people who shy away from niche fetishes. However, I would most likely not play it, as it would be a turn off for me, personally.

I suppose if they were mentally "zombies" and not the undead kind it could be something I could get into.

Thanks :)

I use the term "zombies' only in that they are mindless wandering beings, they aren't actually dead. Really it's more like sex rabies. And yes, it has infected more than humans. There will be dogs, giant mutated rats, slimes, tentacle Monsters (of course), and whatever else I can think of. (those will be later in the game).

Also, I am playing around with the concept of having 2 simultaneous stories, that of the schoolgirl trying to escape, and of her law enforcement officer mother, who has entered the quarantined area to find her daughter. In addition to being older, the mother would also approach the sex differently, seeing from the beginning that she can initiate sex to move through the area more quickly. Over the course of the game, the point of view would switch back and fourth between them.

Okay, so what elements of horror will there be? And i hope you're not going to overly rely on jump scares.

So...something like this bad boy :D Image

You know, for the horror element, you could base your models of Parasite Eve monsters. They've even got slimes :D

Its actually a perfectly logical game mechanic. For example, say, Shinobi Girl, unless you have the cheats and can access the gallery freely, to see all the scenes you have to beat the game by avoiding getting screwed so much that your mind is broken. Now, if your perfectly content fapping to the enemies of say the first level, than hey, that's cool, but your missing out on some of the sex content.

Hello .. :)
I expect this to be Uber awesome, especially since most games in the non flash section of the site, are games made with CG's instead of real animations.
Just one thing i like to ask, do you plan to implement multi-rape actions? apart from that the game would be complete :D

Multi rape actions would be necessary for the game mechanics I am planning. (where you have to avoid getting raped by multiple monsters at once. Every monster that joins makes it more difficult to get away)

As a fan of Blender and RoR, I support this. You should try animating your models in Source Filmmaker. Very worth it, in my opinion.

This looks like a neat new project, with a (from what I can tell) rather unique approach at the actual scenes, and by extension gameplay.

This looks like a pretty interesting idea and will probably make for a good deal of challenging and engaging gameplay that also happens to contain the protagonists getting raped. I find the concept of avoiding the rape to kind of defeat the point of a porn game, but having it so that you just shouldn't get raped too much to be much more pleasant and engaging.

Demon Girl, for instance, basically had it that if you got caught by three/four enemies on the level, then that's it and game over. Space Escape, on the other hand, has a decreasing/increasing 'horny' bar and a 'health' bar where getting raped increases the horny bar and plays different animations, and getting raped also decreases health. However, there were items in the game to increase your health again, so it wasn't a case of 'oh crap, just one more and I lose and need to restart', it was instead, 'okay, get back to the save point/hope that this next enemy I kill drops a health bar so I'll be okay again in case I screw up' and the horny bar naturally went back down with time or special item drops.

Back on track, I look forward to seeing where this goes and how it plays. So far it looks and sounds like it will be pretty decent.

Okay the games looks great from my point of view. You actually have to use your head. I look forward for the release of the game. Keep up the good work

I'm going to go ahead and warn everyone here that progress is going to be slow for awhile. I am trying to get a job for the summer, plus my internet at home is too slow to really do anything with. I work on it when I can, and I might also try and put up a playable demo for people to download and try out.

Also, to the person who PMd me, I am apparently not allowed to send private messages yet, so in response, assistance would be welcome! just look up blender 3D, and start getting the hang of it. I also am using makeHUman for the 3D models, as it can export the model fully rigged into blender, which is nice. Once I am able, I will PM you with more details.

Just a quick updated, added a bit of atmosphere, to make it seem a bit more like an actual "horror" game.

Also, I need to redo her hair at some point. It is just a quick model I grabbed, but it didn't parent to her head quite right, so it has a tendency to fall off during animations :p

XD Come on Bluelight, you all are plenty professional, and we love you for it!

I am looking forward to seeing where this ends up going...other than the wig shop...

Some how, the later levels feel like they'd end up be action puzzles, like the Adventures of Lolo or Solomon's Key, except with critical amounts of sexy times...things like, wait until the "guard" patrols around this corner, then attract and sex zombie a, and then immediately attract and sex zombie b, in order to finish in time to avoid being nailed by the guard finishing the circuit. Any slower and you get double teamed, try and wait, and the guard calls in a new Zombie a when he discovers the previous one...

That sort of thing.
