A small request for vector artists/animators

Postby -QQ- » Thu Jan 14, 2010 3:31 am

okay i don't really want to give you guys more work but would it be possible for anything that is going to be vectored that there be a minimum amount of joints so that when we ( I currently I don't know if anyone else can set up characters with the bone tool besides me yet.) here's my thinking there should be a head, an upper torso and neck, a abdomen, and a hip part for the main body this makes it so there will be more flexibility with the characters no the rest is standard a bicep part to the arm the for arm and the hand; the legs need of coarse a thigh, calf and maybe, a foot by itself.(not to sure about the foot idea myself but i think in the long run it would make it seem more natural)

I want everyone's opinion on this that is a vector artist or will be contributing art for vectoring, or is a vector animator or a bone tool animator.

this would also need to be gone over with renara and playshapes for final say in the matter.

Ah, that is good to know. I'll separate the upper torso and hip from the body and make the neck movable also for my Misty "doll," also once these parts are rigged, can they be interchangeable, for lets say to rotate a head from side view, front, etc?,

This is a good idea! My other thought is that at least one separate tail piece would be useful (more if segmented movement makes sense). The Sharpclaw Warriors actually have a tail symbol which I was thinking I might just swap into their body piece, as it shouldn't break any animations, but give us the option to place it separately if we want.

Obviously that isn't required for human characters :)
