when iwas waking up it occured to me that we never put any thought into an inventory slot menu for the items in the v0.3 brainstorm to be put into the game, that and would we just give krystal a portable hole/bag of holding to put the items in since we'd just ad a small pouch somewhere if we did that.

Bravo.
You see that smiley right there?
That's all I have to say to your idea.
Because if I told you the reason why I put that smiley there, I'd have to kill you--mercilessly.
And it would hurt.
I'm not confirming nothing.A lot.
How the hell are you reading this, anyway? Now think, and don't tell anyone what you're thinking. Because you know what my smiley dun' did.

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=18Here's a whole lovely discussion of it already in progress...but yeah, short of putting it all in hammerspace, that's quite the quandary, didn't even think of it. Guess we just take inventories for granted a lot in modern games.

yep we just forget about them and then we have to remember them when we're the ones actually making the game XD

and the main post here was all i had to say for the idea, but adding a pouch to hold all the items as an inventory is going to have to be done eventually so i posted this to brain storm how it should be set up.

Personally id rather the inventory idea be optional. it adds a little too much to the game and makes it slightly more confusing [and bothering]. there'll be slightly too much to worry about.... id rather the game kept simple rather then quest style.
but then again, watever the team wants to do is fine with me

I'd be lying if i said we wanted everything to be simple. playshapes started this out in the adveture style and by god are we going to run with that idea, the same can be said with how he set up bowser's castle, sadly people didn't really pick up on that prodject like they have been on this one.

if the so called inventory page was like the one from browsers castle, then id love it! itll be a nice touch, i had thought by inventory page u meant something like an actual bag with all these little collums like the ones from mmorpgs... altho i thought the money idea was not as smart, she is a slave so why wuld she have money and i suppose about 60-80% of us will be playing krystal in the nude anyways, so costumes can kinda be just something u get as u go along the game?

How will she be a slave if she manages to leaves for the Dark Wood?
Inventory, again, can't talk much about--but in order to have items, you have to have a place to store them, so it's
iTW™ (in the works) and
only time will tell™.

she's gonna always be a slave to the planet and it's people, just not in the strictest sense of the word.

Making it optional, isn't really an option
I wouldn't worry about it being too complicated though, we're not trying to make a puzzle game where you sit clicking everything in your inventory in the hopes it will open a door or whatever. Inventory can include things like essential items (like the stone to get into the caves), which you'll only ever carry, never really do anything with it. Other items could include different clothing. Anything else will be presented as easily as possible so you don't have to keep diving into your inventory and searching for something you think might help.

... DDO's inventory page just has 20 slots per tab and 5 tabs (two of which you have to gain enough favor to obtain, ddo stands for dungeons and dragons online) really simple, and the same could be said for many other mmo's too, though i don't think i've played an rpg mmo though... or i jkust am not in the loop for those sort of things.

could a Krazoa spirit open a portal for her? store the items in a different dimension, lol sounds way out there, but honestly a purple cloud would be a nice Inventory backdrop, and it would solve the inventory problem hahaha.
