well, reputation now seems to work ok set as a _root. Seeing as its on the screen all the time, its in a layer which is on the stage all the time. and i seem to forgot to put the _root.textboxname.text=_root.reputation; in there so thanks, lets see if that works haha.

In the textbox properties, options section, the variable there just needs to be "_global.reputation" or "_root.reputation", depending on which one you set for the variable. It doesn't work with formulas, semi-colons or static text, but it will update whenever reputation gets changed. Also, you can type in some example text into the textbox in the FLA to see how large you need to set it, and that initial text will be replaced with whatever reputation is set to, so you don't need to guess at how large a textbox you need. Also remember to embed any and every font you use, as Flash seems to be very particular about displaying non-embedded fonts.

If you align your bar graphic so it isn't centered, you can have rep and hyg bars grow left from right instead of out from center

The map looks pretty good, it is just that it is a bit too messy. I would remove all those stones and flowers and draw a stonepattern on the ground instead also the background actions is way too much and fast like i would make the birds fly slower or even remove them since it is just too much and also the fishes is a bit too much. It looks good but it makes it a bit messy ok. What i would do to improve it is change the color on the beach to a more sandish color instead of yellow, add clouds around the areas you have unlocked like in zelda oot (more of a experiment maybe) or add groups of clouds moving across the map, change the roofcolors to more muted colors, add shading to the cave walls and maybe zoom the map a bit more. It looks just some stuff to change.

The backgrounds looks pretty good as well, i would just change the linesize and linecolor on the flowers so they fit better.

Edit: For some reason the two first times i played the game i didnt start at the beginning so i didnt knew there was so much in the first location. I love the herm scene, really hoping to see more of that abd the way you change costume was also very good. Also i dont think that the map should pop up and that you have to select a area, i think you should just walk in to the next area and if you want you can check the map to see where you are. Btw if you make a character would it be a furry one?

Good start! A few notes, the hygiene bar doesn't refill when my character bathes. Also, at one point in the game, I got stuck on the left hand side of the screen and couldn't move to the right... that might just be some problem on my end though. Last point, you might want to get a few spell checkers, it's nothing important right now, but it adds quite a bit to a finished product to have everything spelled correctly. I didn't notice much, it's much nicer than a lot of the flashes around, but there were a few things, notably a "your" when there should have been a "you're", if I remember right.

Correction in the TALK to the lizardgirl - (Your - You're practically unknown..) and again on the second page of that conversation (" It shows you're eager..")

I'd add an actual choice after the 'Female surprise' otherwise it's not much of a choice :'D Also others aren't keen on Herm. - Fantastic animation on it though o.O Kudos

I agree with the walking into the next scene thing. Maybe a button brings up the map? Could be too much coding. - Also, make it so you can actaully press on other locations, not just the locations either side, if you're going for the map way.

Great work so far

I had a lot of fun playing the start of what I am looking forward to be a great game. Your animation was very nice and it flows well your text was not also bad. The rep. And hyg. Bars were also good and your puzzle elements (such as the outfit change were nice.) so in shorter words it was all good.

One suggestion however would be to add wsad keys to walk instead of just arrow keys.

Looking forward to more of your progress.

I also did not mind having the map after every area, it could use just a *little* amount of decluttering.

This is pretty good considering I've never heard of you till now.

@katsuO_O: your always helpful and with great tips. Yeh the line sizes i was having trouble with, first time i have ever drawn in flash. I would make a new graphic, draw it, then when i drop it into the scene it was waaay too big so needed resizing, thats when i get a load of weird line size differences. As i progress ill end up redoing a bunch of stuff I'm sure.

@ futa-fan-kat: the Hygiene bar goes up the longer you bath, so if you get in and just jump out when it says all done, you may not wash very well. So stay in longer and it should go up. As far as the stuck on the left goes, i cant see where that is. If it happens again can you tell me where it was and ill see if it is down to the code. Thanks. By all means correct me on my spelling and gramma, I'm terrible at it so yeh, please DO correct me

@ByHisBilowingBeard: You mean put the choice in after the herm's cock appears? I thought it was going to be pretty obvious when she said "I'm not like other females" lol. Yeh i understand others may not like herms thats why i put the choice in there, not only that, i like seeing Krystal with herms so.... people can always get the first bit of reputation another way hehe.

@Mr L : WASD keys for right handed fappers? :p good idea, ill see what i can do. Its just the original code had Krystal move with arrows and it just seemed very natural to keep it that way.

RE: The map. Yeh the map IS a bit cluttered. It was the very first thing i drew in flash and undoubtedly worth a relook at some point. I am, so far, really bad at drawing, especially in flash or similar programs (not to bad freehand) so i hope to get better, if not, seeing as im doing this alone so far, the bad quality of my drawings may have to be tolerated...for now I am working on improving it tho. So far there are only three places to go and those are all in a line from each other, so i see why walking from one scene tot he next is preferable. Eventually there will be other places and often choices, left, right, up or down. I wanted areas to appear that she could get to only once she was close 1, to stop map clutter and 2, gives the possibility to open new areas that open after quests or something. I got the idea from LoK: another trail (sorry if thats a bad thing to do ) i just loved how you needed to actually go to place A before you could move on to place B or C.

RE: Clothing changes. I kinda like that idea too, so thanks. Im hoping more outfits will be available after certain things happen in the game, so the armor will become unlocked after her rep is high enough and she purchases it from the merchant, for example. So did you all go to the 'behind' dino wearing the armor? seeing as the suit doesnt work. Or did you go in naked and find out the dino doesnt care how low your rep is or how dirty you are and just plane rapes her? LOL. Things like that, im hoping to have all over the place. I just need to work out how to add more outfits to the character and also, maybe, draw some totally new ones.

Anyway, thanks for all the great advice, help and mostly playing my little incomplete game. Im really pleased with how its turned out so far and especially since i knew nothing of flash not too long ago. Im really enjoying working on this and posting it to you guys. Don't worry about your art work I think it's fine I was really just reusing kat's comment on cluterdness on the overworld map. Now that I think about it, it really is only the MOVING parts that distrct from the gameplay.

You can disregard this if it is too hard to program but when your watch ing the sex scenes if you could have a key to push instead of point click buttons it might make the game flow easier for fappers (myself included )

Really nice, but just a quick question, where's the suit you change into for the "behind" scene? can't find any buttons to change in the Hut, and bathing just makes you clothed again as soon as you get out.

@Fawkes you find clothes in the open chest in the starting room.

I like it. Flowers seem incredibly out of place though; might want to either darken the flowers or brighten the foreground grass. Also, it seems like traveling by foot is going to be pretty time consuming on that big of an island. Maybe a fast travel to key locations of the map you have visited already, such as your hut?

i believe a a possible fast travel system would also be beneficial later on in the game specially if say you was one side of the island and want to get back to your hut... apart from that good work so far, keep it up

@bad_intruder: Yeh my drawing skills are terrible, i appologise for that. As i go through making more of the game, I'm sure ill learn and get better at it and redo many things already drawn. I wanted Krystal to walk through the whole map because as she progresses or things get completed, im hoping to insert extras. For example, she completes a quest or something and goes to walk home, finding a angry zerg (or something) on one of the routes home. So far i have many ideas in my head its just putting them together and weeding out the ones i dont like. Right now i'm looking for new characters to use, dino men and lizard girls can get all too repeatable haha.

Hmm, is it normal that I only see a big white screen with a single button in the middle which doesn't seem to do anything?

I tried going forward, but then the button just disappears.
