Egg's sprite attemts

Well too often I want to criticise Krystals eyes but that falls under "personal style" so It's not really an issue especially when they still look great (which is most of the cases) So I thought I'd just have another go at making a Krystal myself. Plus I think I've improved a bit so please tell me what you think.

I just wanted to post the rough draft first so I can get some criticism while it's still easy to modify. Because that whole "an artist is his own best critic" is a load of bull

But if yous want an idea of what it'll later look like than good news, I just finished the lines and colours of her head.

Well I think this krystal is more like the krystal off of star fox, which isnt a bad thing. I think we are all accustomed to seeing anally raped/gangbanged sexified krystal. In other words it looks good! Lol

Hmm, The eye seems pushed back a bit too far to her ear, I'd move it forward more myself.

Agreed. The face is pretty damn cute though. Wouldn't be able to say how 'foxey' it is though. That depends on how pedantic you want to be

The overall body seems well proprtioned, but the hips seem too far forward. As for the head, it's not "fox" looking. For the head the snout needs to be extended forwards quite a bit to suit a fox rather than a pug.

I'm a big fan of everything Eggplants does myself, so I'm just happy to contribute my say.

@ trunks. The eyes were originally that far back because of the angle I like to draw faces but in terms of how it ended up you're definitely right. plus now we can see her eyelashes woo!

@BillowingBeard. Fairly pedantic I suppose. No use in denying peoples help.

and @Zedralan. I'm not sure what you meant by the hips but I did extend the snout a bit so is this what you meant? Also thanks heaps, man. I find it hard to grasp the thought of having a fan but it just makes me so happy and I'm glad that you could contribute

I like your design a lot. Either option is good. The first looks more cute, while the second seems to look more... curious.

Only thing I don't like is how the eye looks. It looks like she would be blinking diagonally. Honestly, I'm not quite sure how you could go about tweaking that. Perhaps draw the eyelid on the inside of the eye outline? Sorry, my criticism if better than my artistic "prowess."

I like them both, but the more defined snout is definitely appealing to a foxy character.

Just as a side note, the hips appearing far forward might be a combination of a thin waist and the perspective (1/4-1/8th forward from profile). I personally like the way it looks, even if it may not be completely anatomically correct, but she's a furry, for crying out loud. It's all a matter of opinion on what artistry style one prefers, and there is no reason to change from playshapes' style (of course I'm not saying that improvements aren't appreciated).

I'm having a bit of trouble spying the difference between the two (I think the one on the right has a slightly longer muzzle?), but I think this looks fairly neat and I hope to see more from you : )

EDIT: Though I'd like to add that I'm pretty sure it's more accurate to call them 'models' than 'sprites'

Oh I see what yous mean by the hips! the hip further away from the viewer right? Yeah I see where your coming from and although the angle is pretty weird for walking and such, most people will come for the pornos and I just think this angle works well for that because you'll actually be able to see her lady parts better this way.

And you got me pretty worried there, Pirate but when I tried animating the blink it was actually allot easier to overcome that than I thought. Because it's animated it doesn't necessarily have to make sense. I'll just show you what I mean.

also a game sprite doesn't have to mean the 2D pixelated type that you normally see because game sprites simply mean the models or pictures used in a game. So it could be either but I like spites better.

Hate to have to pile on here but seriously. The eye is big, the eye is maybe set far back, or not, ya'll are free to criticize BUT it's a style that's in keeping with all ANIME, not just hentai. And it's fine in my book.
