is it just me or does that sample look hilarious,


samus with her legs flailing about like a spas, but her upper body isnt moving at all,

I am more programmer - i can not draw :cry: and i am bad in animation :roll:

So i better show it on a simple animation - but all the components have to be named like i say in that posts :mrgreen:

The best Art work that i can make in my life is : So ... :roll:

I love the shadow Samus but one thing i dont like is the cannon so this is what i think looks better instead:

Why does the cannon change color to red automatically whit out any layer or code or is there a code or something?

I got a updated verision of my ship in the samus platformer thread.

ooh, yeah. the fusion cannon does look very sleek.. i'll paint it up when I ..get off my arse..
the armored shadow's cannon was a sneaky job, it's just an 'advanced' colour effect.

and I'll be sure to pinch the new ship as soon as I've got a game kicking :P

The samus customisation is doing well, although I think you should make the early levels before other suits are available before perfecting them. I have some knowledge of flash, but I may be more useful soon because I am planning on getting flash. If I do get it I will offer a helping hand if you want it.

Ok, I'm going to hope that we've got some code-monkeys in today...

it seems I've hit a little snag with my bootfix.. using "swapDepths" causes things to become somewhat static... (so-far only the cannon melee attack is animated, you can see it there)
i'm looking for a cure, but here's hoping one of you old pros has already found the answer

AWWRH!
ok, it's designed to 'stop all tweens' and there aint no easy way around it (that I can see, anyway..)

so, three options:
make a complex system for showing boots above, (groan)
ditch the boots completely, (NOOOOooo!)
redraw them so they can sit on the same layer as all the others - maybe move the 'crown' part lower down.. (hope I don't mess it up :? )

I'm sure I'll be back with more crying - stay tuned!

.........and that amazing technicolor/tie-dyed/rainbow cum option was just hilarious to me. I'm not sure why. Not to mention just plain awesome. You win for that, forever. Can't wait for the new stuff.

Cool :mrgreen: Can you post *.fla file in CS4 please ;) ?

Attack can be very good for bedril mode. For example cannon - charged shot - bedril - bleeding strike.

Question about fight mode - how it will be better to make ? When up is pressed fire directly up or with for example 60 degree angle - like when running ?

well, I haven't made anything worth sharing -yet.
and I'm really upset that I couldnt find a real fix for the varia boots :cry:

as for the controls, I dont like having up shoot straight up. up should shoot at around the angle you see there - and diagonal will be between the angles we've got right now.
..on reflection, the up angle needs to be tweaked a little bit.. up a little more, I think.

and I did find some cool stuff today, The edward platform engine and onlyata's platforming engine

I'm pretty sure they're both open-source, and I can't wait to get into 'em!

Edward platform is very good - some very interesting ideas. I knew some thing new for my self :mrgreen:

Now when i removed timer - and i see how he did it and think - that one day i have to make global remake of how i did it :roll: :mrgreen:

The idea with platform with dinamic Arrays that add itself on stage activate Mmmmm :shock: tastefully :mrgreen:

Oh this game is ganna be real good you got some cool stuff going on with it i love the monsters grapples and your own grapples if the game gets a bit to slow for you and i can see the monsters coming in from the other games like Lok and any other games released being put in as missions like bounty hunts so basically fun mini games XD

Ok for starters I think what you guys are doing is epic, secondly wish more stuff like this was made mainstream, instead of it being impossible for stuff like this to be worth trying to make because it would be impossible advertise and sell. If you guys do fully make this, What I think you should be careful about, is how you spread the game around the web, and also if you try to make money off of it that isn't from donations, and some lawyer from Nintendo catches wif of this you might be in trouble. But Seriously if when you complete this, (by the way WHAT the hell are you going to do about the story?!?! LOL I might be able to help with that if ya want. I am considering going to college for game design and programming. if so I hope to Go to Full Sail University in Orlando Florida.) I digress.

Anyways If someone could email me the tools and maybe a tutorial I really have nothing to do at the moment, I have a year off at the moment. I am not the best with art, but I am good with math when I am interested in it, I took calculus in high school lol, Was a bitch indeed. Anyways Also guys I suggest Starting a new thread that will include everyone's newest updates on the Samus platformer. Well Anyways Keep up the good work, for all horny kind lol. Hopefully that makes the rest of you laugh as well.
