A bit off-topic, but anyway; Thanks for the kind words. You have no idea what great motivation you guys just inspired me to. Share the love, eh? x)
But ah, I just keep putting these posts where they shouldn't be, right? I'll just return to the grimy recesses of my own thread and stop posting so many damn unnecessary posts, now. It looks absolutely marvelous, Ptoon-t. Looking at your work made me learn a thing or two, hopefully that will make the next room I make look better.

Cheers~

Skidizle Wrote:So you do use Photoshop, cool. Is it fairly easy to get nice uniform lines using that Cintiq? All I've got is this cheap Aiptek 600U tablet and whenever I try to draw a line in Photoshop, or similar artsy-fartsy program, they all come out looking wavy and jagged. I have to complete a stroke at like 300mph to produce a nice result but it's almost impossible to control a line at that speed, for me at least.

Because of this I only use the tablet for colouring and adding details at an almost molecular level. I swear, I use the pen tool so much it almost defeats the purpose of having a tablet in the first place.

Also, do you have any experience with Intuous tablets? Do Cintiq tablets offer any real benefit in terms of accuracy and stroke quality or is their built-in screens the main attraction?

I don't know about pToon but I have to do pretty quick strokes too, that's where CTRL+Z comes in handy ;)
and yeah the screen pretty much is the big deal here because it just makes it allot easier to know what you're actually doing because there's no guess work in you're hand movements.

oh I guess I wasn't taking colour into consideration for the house. ok I take it back then, but I still miss the dream catcher :P
I animate and draw stuff! Check out my gallery if you wish.
Also my email is [email protected]. I'm always happy to receive emails ;)

Maybe you could work on the main look of the village? I dunno the full details since Ren's talking about a scrolling scenery so the notes i had in the story for background looks would be a bit different, but I'd say take the scenes with the double boob job and krystal's crashed arwing, and the entrance to scale's room, and see if you could make kind of a long scrolling backdrop out of those three. Tree's in the background, some kinda dirt path for the middle ground, and some bushes scattered around the background and forground, maybe the occasional tree in the foreground as well just to push the sense of depth. It might be worth while to show a small hut or two blending into the trees in the background and dirt paths that lead to the huts, but i wouldn't put in too many. This is just off the top of my head, ptoon-t let me know if i missed anything. (the bathing area would be something smaller to work on if what i just suggested seems a bit overwhelming)

I Love my Cintiq, from my experience, my line art and my work over all as improved with the purchase of it, having the line appear where you put the pen down, the ability to tilt the screen and having the 21UX allowing me to use my arm instead of just my wrist to draw, gives a more intuitive and fun experience drawing, to answer your question directly, I feel my control and line quality has improved with the Cintiq. as fore the Intuos, I haven't tried one, but have used other wacom products and have had a good experience withe them. If you're serious or semi serious about drawing I would recommend you get the Intuos over the Bamboo, having the programmable buttons is nice.

I do think this would be a bit to much to start withe, and that this should be discussed on the Developers side of the forum. I would suggest picking something smaller.

Fair enough, but if someone takes up the challenge and shows good results that'll be worth some attention from the team for sure.

Wow, that looks really nice. I'm impressed! =D

Though the in-game version will have color, right?
