Still trundling away ridiculously slowly as ever :)

I've been having a spate of computer troubles lately so I've managed to get a sum total of nothing done for the last three weeks or so, thanks to wireless networking issues, internet connection issues, and a computer… well not a crash exactly, it just decided I wasn't allow to work for more than 10 minutes before it'd seize up. Anyway, I'm mostly set-up again, but now I have paid work to catch up on, bah!

As ever I can't stress enough how much everybody's patience is appreciated, and in the mean time there are tons of creative folks plugging away on their own great games. LoK will get its update eventually :)

To some degree, it depends exactly what you mean by a morality system. My preference for such a feature is toward simply having scene options or game-play abilities where possible that can let you have krystal be as slutty or reluctant as you like, not sure if I'd bother having it do anything beyond this though, but there's always the possibility of tracking how often the player errs towards the slutty or innocent options in order to trigger cosmetic differences.

Perhaps it could only change her walking animation, i.e. a "sluttier" Krystal will walk with her tongue hanging out in a dirt manner and a "reluctant" Kystal will attempt to cover her breasts and crotch with her hand as she walks?

I'd rather suggest a mood system personally. Which could change her face expressions and such, based on what events she does. Given of course that she can find and do some things that make her happy :) Just my idea.

Yeah, that's the idea ^^ It would depend if she's enjoying it or not in given circumstances. Sometimes she might enjoy it, making her happy, at other times no, making her sad.

Can't wait til the next version, though it looks like you guys are adding quite a bit per version. I have no experience or idea about flash programming, but to me, it sounds like your biting off a litle more then you can chew in each version. Id prefer, and id also assume most other people, small regular updates instead of large ones where we have no idea whats going on, but thats just my opinion. Your the developers, feel free to do what you want, its your game. ;)

Definitely :)
The aim is for v0.3 to be one big update from the point of view of the programming, graphics, and animation. After that we can hopefully move to small improvements on those, while mostly focusing on adding piece after piece of new content, until the whole thing is built. The aim is for v0.3 to be community oriented so more and more people can help out once all the foundation work is done, the problem is just that the foundation work has turned out to be huge, with rampant delays :)

I really like that idea, I definitely think you should do that, that would be awesome.

If done right, yea. But from most flash animations of tongues from side-view like in LoK it just looks awkward whenever anyone tries to animate them from this angle. Maybe something else like lightly blushing and a rape face type thing going on with the eyes.

How close are we to actually seeing a new release of LoK?

Be honest, because I'm getting quite tired of lurking the Creative Corner and seeing new threads that have no animated content (or any content at all) in them

The cold honest truth is; software is an both a science and an art. Engineering might be able to tell you about how long it should take to design something, but that's really just customizing an existing framework to some tolerances and checking that it will, in fact, perform as desired. Science and art, on the other hand, are about creating /new/ and /different/ things; this is more commonly called Research or Development. There's simply no good answer.

Though a heart beat every so often might be nice so those of us on the outside know things are still happening inside.

True. And all your predictions go out the window if your programmers get hand cramps... xD

So heres something to try and will will warp every ones minds.
so if you have 2 rooms each with it's own computer and it's own programmer you get twice the amount of work done in theory. We'll just round it and say the same even though it depends on other factors the person. But in this case it's 2 clones.
however have another room with one computer and one keyboard and have 2 programmers in it and you've just increased your productivity more than both of the other programmers combined.
I believe this is called agile programming but i wouldn't bet my life on it.

Now I would love to hear why you(people of LOK forums) think this is true or false. Anybody?

I was wondering Renara. I know your not sure when you'll be done, but certainly you have to have some sort of idea of idea of how long of a time frame you should defiantly be finished in. I'm just wanting to know do you believe this project will be finished within the next year or will it possibly be longer than that. Also I don't know if you would have the time for this, but without putting out an unfinished game or without revealing anything you don't want to reveal, could you possibly put out a list of all the changes and updates you've added to the game so far (new areas, types of new animations, characters added, game play ad-dons, etc). Then maybe a little about what kind of things you plan to add later. I would just like to know where the project stands a little better, not necessarily everything. I understand that this whole ordeal is a big challenge and takes a lot of effort and time even without the setbacks and delays, but I think everybody feels just a bit left in the dark and it gets frustrating even for the most patient of us. I don't want you to rushed or feel more pressed than you already probably do because that's how you start to really just want to stop doing anything. I'll be here even if it takes another 3 years (I hope it doesn't take that long! D:), because I'm thoroughly interested in this project. One way or another I support what your doing and look forward to whenever we get to see a release, cause god knows were all eager to see it...whenever it comes.
