Focusing the efforts

I think this is the perfect time now to start discussing about exactly what we're going to do. It seems that everything at the moment is broken up into various pieces without a real solid idea. And of course this is because we haven't established any kind of foundation yet, and seems a bit premature right now. I understand -QQ- is working on a desert zone currently, but I'd say once QQ finishes his ideas, to put the vectors on hold for the moment. Pretty much this is the time to start organizing our efforts towards some kind of foundation of how everything will work out in the future. So basically a conversation between the people that have or can contribute to the project currently in a larger impact : Renara, Playshapes, Vixen, -QQ-, and myself.
If I left you out don't feel discouraged, I am only naming off people I can remember. Once that is established then I think we can really start going towards something bigger. Of course this is because 0.2 is coming out fairly soon, so its about time to change.

No, more rather, a technical topic, of specifics involving how things will be done.

here's the conversation that me and trunks partook for a general story line in my 3 areas (desert beach volcano) not that the volcano is mostly up in the air still because I still need to make the volcano town and dungeon. read from the bottom up.

That's perfect, i was trying to think of how you'd fight the desert boss if there was still that sandstorm problem.

no the volcano is also going to be bigger with its own town and dungeon its just that i have not gotten around to planing any of it at all but i do like what you've told me so far and thanks for helping me out with this part (b^ ^)b. all of you lines are much better than anything i could think of. also I'm going to bounce this idea off you what if the item that makes the desert sand storms stop is in the tunnel so that way we wont have anything conflicting latter on when you fight MR.Leever?

part 2
the beach:
the tunnel could lead out by the area that goes to the entrance of the volcano that is blocked. some dialog for the gaurd here
Guard: wait woman, the volcano is no place for one such as yourself, heat comes from here that only ones such as myself can endure. What? You say you need the gemstone from inside? Well it is of no use to my people, if you can gather these materials I can forge a protective charm for you. One is held by a creature in the desert, some call him a monster, others say he is the guardian of the desert, either way his horn is one of the items. the other can be obtained from the beach contest, I'm sure you will have no trouble if you use your natural 'talents'. come see me when you've gathered both items.
(also instead of a charm it could be a new set of armor, like it's been talked about in some of the other threads)
I have nothing to add for how to win the beach contest for ideas, they all sound good to me. some announcer lines...
Announcer: welcome to the 64th annual beach body contest! today our judges will determine which of these sexy ladies has the best body suited for the beach. Todays contestents are (i'm thinking two other girls and krystal).
(for the sexy swimsuit)
Announcer: woah, krystal has chosen to really show off that body with that swimsuit, where did she manage to buy that from and why didn't the other girls do the same?
(for fucking the announcer)
Announcer: mmm there's no better way to tell who's got the best body than to give it a test drive, and there's no problem with krystals!
(for the strip show)
Announcer: woohoo, look at her go, this sexy vixen must have past experiance doing this!
Announcer: And our winner is this lovely fox, however the real winners are the judges *insert sex scene with contestents and judges here and then get awarded the quest item*
Mr. leever, i really have nothing to add to this other than I say name him something else, maybe just sandworm or guardian of the desert, or desert spirit, something like that.
back to the guard of the volcano:
Guard: wonderful you obtained the items, I shall make the charm for you right away, however I would appreciate some from of 'payment' (i'm sure you saw that coming)
so that's my thoughts for some dialog on the areas and whatnot. As for where to go, you'd said before the volcano only has two areas i thought it was, the entrance tunnel and the hotsprings. I'd make it at least 3 areas, the third being the place that has the gemstones or whatever we decide on for the quest item. It'd also make sense for it to be guarded in some way and krystal has to either pay for the item or 'fight' the guard for it.

just read your responce, i'm typing this all up off to top of my head as i look back at the basic outline. I'll try to make comments in order to what you typed up so i'm not randomly jumping to different ideas.
If this set of events starts in the Gerudo village it's logical for there to be a gaurd at the entrance of the village to spot krystal and start this sequence of events. Some dialog off the top of my head....
Gerudo Gaurd: halt tresspasser! this is Gerudo territory, where even the bravest of men are not allowed, only the male heir of the Gerudo, born once every 100 years is allowed in here, let alone a diffrent species like you or that other animal we found. What's that you want to know about him? Then you can talk to the cheif, before we imprison you for tresspassing!
From these the scene could cut straight to the cheif's hut.
Cheif: Another outsider? And you want to know about the other one that was caught here, he escaped, but we are still tracking his location, no one escapes the Gerudo for long. Hmm you seem rather interested in him.....if you are willing to help me then I'll consider letting you go and withdrawing the hunt for him. There is a gemstone inside of the volcano that I seek, it's said to be worth more than the greatest riches and possesses special powers. Get it for me and we'll have a deal, until then you are free to enter and leave the village, but my warriors are free to do with you as they please as well! Now get out of my sight till you get that gem!
From here open exploration opens up just like the current sharpclaw village in the original game.
Crossing the Desert: Ok like you said crossing reguarly is impossible, krystal can try it but either a sandstorm will white out the screen and put her back at the start, or leevers will jump on her right away and bang her till her stamina is depleted and once again white screen back to start. Maybe have a gerudo guard inform her of a warning about the sandstorms and creatures. Optional would be you have to pay the guard for the information, either with coins or with sex, and once the sandstorms and the leevers are dealt with, the gaurd could actually lead you across the desert, like you'd go from beginning to end, not having to cross all the screens, sorta like a teleport. Since you're thinking a boss fight with Mr. leever will make the others stop attacking her, i don't really see the need to make an item to make attacks less frequent as it would become useless later on, however if the item just deals with the sandstorm that's fine with me, it could be a quest item after you do the leever boss fight or something.
Gurudo Guide: You're a rather cute outsider but not very bright are you? For a little payment I'll tell you what you are doing wrong.
After payment: mmm fuck that was good. Ok listen up because i'm only saying this once, if you want to hear it agian, it'll cost you just like last time. There's a vicious wind that dominates the desert, they say there was once a man that tamed the wind but his secret has been lost. However even if the sand storms don't get you, the monsters in the desert will, they attack relentlessly, only by defeating their leader would they let you pass, as if you can make it to the leader in the first place!
After the problems of the desert are solved: I don't belive it, how did a weak outsider like you tame the unforgiving desert? Very well, for another payment I'll guide you across, and don't give me that stupid look, even if you can cross the desert, I can get you across faster.
So for the time being, freeing the man is the only option, since the guide will only inform you of passing being impossible, and no items would currently work.
prisoner: oh shit, today must be my lucky day, a female that won't stab me for looking at her, why can't there be more like you around? Hey baby how about you help me out here and I'll pay you back, I know a way out of this hellhole, but I need a distraction to get past the guards. You help me slip by them and we are home scott free and at the beach!
From here I'm thinking krystal has to do her best to seduce the guards and keep them enganged in sex long enough for the man to slip by in the background and activate the passageway. Once inside the door to the passage can close behind them, locking them in a tunnel where he then rapes her.
prisoner: mmm you're pretty good, i've never seen those gerudo bitches dyke it out like that before. But watching all that got me hard as a rock, be a good girl and take care of me before we leave, and don't pretend you don't like it either.
(ok that's a lot for one message I'll send up my ideas for the other half in the next PM)

you'll be glad to know that i wasn't talking about like likes i was talking more of on of many legend of Zelda boss characters are giant worm like creatures and i was just going to do that unless someone thought of something better as for story ill give you my basic idea on what needs to happen and you can make an arc that fits it.
First off we start at gerudo village were the leader has information on foxes whereabouts the leader wants some item that we can make up later from the volcano dungeon in order to trade the information and so our first challenge is to cross the desert but you cant cross due to frequent sand storms and monster attacks. The one way is to buy a gerudo guide or to buy an item that makes it so no sandstorms happen and fewer monsters appear. the last alternative is to get information from a prisoner about a hidden passage to the beach but it is hard to get because he wants you to get him out of jail so he can "show it to you" (he leads you to it then rapes you). now there will be nothing in the desert and the trigger for the boss comes later.
In gredou village there is a bath, a shop, a jail, and a Hut were the leader resides add anything that we can use to expand the puzzle I'll draw it up later if its an area.
Now at the beach the goal is to get in the volcano area were you are blocked by a volcano dezien (suborsian or goron it has yet to be decided) he will let you in only if you bring him the items needed to make a charm to protect you against heat in the volcano. One part is won at a beach body contest (you can win this multiple ways fuck announcer for win, buy bathing suits, or strip on the middle of the stage but then get you and the rest of the contestants gang raped or all three X D) so after you get that he tells you to go get a sand horn from MR.Leever (or other boss if needed to be changed) hes the giant sand worm sort of a leever on steroids. Anyways you have to train you endurance to a certain level by fucking with people around the beach. Then you can go try MR.Leever on for size you win if your endurance beats his but if you lose you start back at the beach his endurance wont be known in game but depending on how fast we make your stats rise we can figure out how much krystal will need later. so once you beat him you can go back to him for sex scenes and then leevers will no longer rape you on sight in the desert anymore (you may choose to have sex with them if you want to though). So once you beat MR.Leever and head back to the entrance the guy crafts a gem that protects you against heat and then you enter the volcano.
this is where I'm at a lose since I don't really know what to put in now. so that's the flow of action so far i need some help with what certain characters might say and also need help with getting basic layout with the volcano level.
(omg so many words @- @)
thanks for reading all this hope to hear what you come up with and just pm if you need anything.

I think you already could tell i was interested in helping progress the flow of the story. I'd like to hear a more solid idea of what you are thinking of right now, since these are your scenes and everything, and then i'll give my imput. Sadly I still don't have any good alternative characters for the desert, the best i came up with was suggesting dark link in another thread. Maybe just don't do the 'like likes' as they'd be borederline on a vore fetish i think, unless they are altered to only 'eat' a certain part of krystal.

Here are my questions in a list :
1. Are we going to update the background graphics of the already created areas.
2. Will we be using the bone tool as our primary animation tool.
-2a. If so, how will we go about it in the already finished areas and Krystal.
3. Will we be trying to maximize our file sizes to achieve a very fluid game.
4. If we do place in a new interface, how will this affect the areas already created.
5. Will we be creating a new intro?
6. Do we want to have smoother animation transitions, ex. having a body that can do a somewhat 180 degree motion.
7. This question pertains if all questions are answered with a yes, will we revamp the beginning to interchange with a new interface, tool, background, and animation?

I think we should update backgrounds in the current areas
the bone tool cant be use as the primary because there is a one armature per layer restriction that means that if i have two characters with bones 1 will be fully on top of the other but we can use it as a background item for certain scenes because i can be skill full enough that i can still give the appearance of being on the same layer. so vector animating will have to be use on most of the sex scenes or a small mix of both.
as for using it in the finished area i think only switch out with non interactive characters or as a said above.
i think we should go for fluid yes and the interface will be a menu above all layers so no problems should be caused by adding it in.
I think we should but that should probably wait till the end
Maybe some basic update to Krystals movement is needed but again i think it should be decided later.

Lastly, here is something that we also need to speak about, I am willing to put in a reasonable amount of time if we do plan on revamping and so on, but I have always been conflicted by trying to please everyone but no one at the same time. If we do go on with this project in a forward way of revamping much of the original game, then yes, I will stick by to do all the vector work, to maintain a look. Regardless of whichever concept anyone creates they will look alike. This would mean more characters, animations, etc in the future. I don't know how much Playshapes is willing to contribute or what not, but I am willing to be here most of the time. So I don't really know where to go from that. But again, I didn't want to simply "steal" Playshapes project in that way, so its a matter of what everyone thinks of that.

well no disrespect to playshapes but for me when i first played i saw the message on the start up that to me meant free game but over all i get the idea of uniformity but there are going to be changes and differences whether people want it or not. and also i get the idea of wanting to contribute but not having a means too so in pleasing the public we should make a suggestions area and then anyone who would be involved with the suggestion would have a say whether or not it goes in (trying out with democracy) in all it is really all up to us as being the workforce that is going to make it.

i think we should go for fluid yes and the interface will be a menu above all layers so no problems should be caused by adding it in.
If we do want to use a smaller file size, it would mean I would have to redo most of playshapes linework from illustrator, in the end the pieces would be cleaned up and smaller in file size.
I think we should but that should probably wait till the end
Basically this connects with the question above, basically the intro would have to be changed.

@- @ hoo boy I hope im not overstepping my bounds i think renara should be answering these as well. but in my opinion yes the intro will need to be changed but we should not worry about it as much because to me making the necessary things for V3 takes a higher priority plus we still have yet to see V2 so most of this is gonna have to wait till we see V2.

I've been messing around in flash, mostly with animation, but have started focusing more on actionscript. There's a lot of stuff I didn't realize you could do. I'm waiting for V2 to release so I can talk with Renara to see what needs to be coded and how we can split the work. A lot of the idea's you guys have are great, but just thinking about trying to implement them is making my head spin.

I got a couple questions and ideas to just throw out there.
For the beach body contest, which is an awesome idea, you could have a mix of girls instead of having just lizard girls, like a Goron girl, that Blaziken girl, Peach, Dasie etc.
For trying to get more stamina experience you could have it so Krystal could buy or obtain the ditto dildo Krystal look-a-like character and she can use it for exp, and the more stamina she has the more things she can do with ditto and other characters. Also if a lesbian scene pops up she could be able to pull the ditto out.
A question for the money in the game is the only way to get it is by sex or is the like secret spots to find it? And also what items are going to be available to purchase? I could think of a couple if needed.
Another one is the game going to have a save feature? I skimmed other posts and didn't see anything about it. Im not even sure if theres a way to save for this type of game lol. If so an idea for it could be to have krystal have a room at a house, hotel, etc with a save point in it, and if theres a item collection in the game then she could be able to store some there.
Thats all I can think up right now. I wouldn't worry about trying to rush to get this game out. Everyone knows you guys are working hard on it. Keep up the awesome job!

I'm going to make a big push to get my unofficial v0.2 finished this week. I'd like to apologise for the delay, some other things have come up that I had to deal with, but it's meant I've become a bit of a bottle-neck for progress! Once v0.2 is out for people to look at I'll start more focused discussions and try to describe more of my ideas regarding direction as a starting-point.
We'll also likely start splitting off into more focused areas for the forum, which will be re-structured slightly. I understand that some people are probably a bit frustrated by the lack of visible progress, and this is understandable of course, and it's great to see so much enthusiasm! At this stage though we now have ourselves a nice "idea soup"; it may not seem like progress to everyone, but there's a ton of great creative ideas that can now be picked from to produce an overall plan, which was what I was hoping for at this stage.
After v0.2, I will launch into v0.3 which will likely be just a restructuring of the project into multiple files (so it will be SVN compatible, and easy for a team to work on), and then v0.4 will be the real starting point for new content, and new scripting, so that it should be nice and quick to do so we're not held back much longer.
Regarding the bone tool; I may have misunderstood, but it seems to me that it is still an ideal way to create animations, it's just that once the basic movements have been made using a bone-structured character, the key frames will be broken apart onto layers as normal to allow for layered effects as required? I haven't had a chance to play with it yet though, so I may have missed something.

Wow, I see some long wall of text for the story already!
If you guys don't mind, could you let me handle the editing of the text?
So when the time comes you do not have to worry so much about the grammar and etc and concentrate with making the game.
Renara: SVN compatible = Win = Industry standard.
