Well SharpClaw village and Krystal are the starting points of the game, and since pretty much everything is being remastered it makes sense for us to start at the beginning
Remember that v0.3 is partly about releasing the new source files as early as possible as well so people can make new content with the new character artwork, game-engine etc., obviously it's still taking quite a long time because there's quite a bit of work involved, but that's still one of the aims. Really when it comes down to it the Peach and Zelda parts of v0.2 are just demos of sorts, since PlayShapes made the scenes but never integrated them into Krystal's part of the story which was the actual game, so he just hooked them up for people to see in v0.1. As per PlayShapes' original story idea there was to be a brief cutscene as Krystal enters Dark Woods showing Link being stolen by Midna and turned into a wolf, before returning control to Krystal (who would later encounter said wolf), the Zelda section of the game shows these scenes without any real cohesion just for the fun of seeing them.
While it'd be nice to have that in v0.3, you're looking at 4 additional characters (Zelda, Link, Midna, Link Wolf) so it's unlikely that we'll bother with the cutscene as it'll be a lot of extra work and delay v0.3 even further. Rest assured though that these characters will make their reappearance, and Peach will get her chance as well!
