Version 0.3 Items Brainstorm

I figured while Renara is working damn hard for this project, some of us could brainstorm some ideas for the upgrade on the actionscript system, for Renara to pick apart and take what he likes (considering some ideas may be too unrealistic, or simply take too much time and thus taking away from the time spent on good old content).

However there's nothing wrong with a brainstorm! So:

One of the things I was considering (which I think even Renara eluded to) was a simple Inventory system where you could view the items Krystal has gained.
It would have 2 categories: 1. Story Items and 2. Usable Items
1. Story Items would be Items like the Master Sword found in the Dark Woods, or the Stone Slab that General Scales gives to gain access to Galdon's Cave.
2. Usable Items would be object you could use at any point, perhaps during sex scenes, or most likely while walking around, such as Soap that could make Krystal's baths keep her clean of cum longer, or a Water Bottle that could clean off the cum wherever she is at the time. This could even include a variety of clothes that Krystal finds/earns, to keep old scenes interesting (maybe clothes could be a third item category).

Such a system may lend itself to the need for Coins or Rupees, in order to buy Usable items or specialty clothes.
Coins/Rupees could be gained by giving sex along with gaining experience, or other ways like a casino or any other number of ways (as long as its practical and doesnt take too much time to include in the game).

That's my idea, and the graphics required for this idea could be done by ppl such as Obviousmcgee, who has already stated a preference for item making.
If you have some ideas involving an item system, or even item ideas, throw it up.

We can easily build upon the menu screen with a Zelda-like inventory menu to keep with the overall feel of the nintendo world. If anything it'd be quite easy to pick up on certain aspects and ideas from already created game mechanics from each game, such as when Krystal picks up an item, it can be similar to that of when Link picks up an item, with a description of what it does.

Of course with those items we can go with the sexy puzzle route or just plain anytime usage. Also we could also do old school click and point adventure route of being able to feel/use/push/pull/etc with each item, but that in itself would probably take too much time. Anyway, another idea would be being able to combine items, unlocking specialty sexy animations.

well in order to get more items i think we need to up the amount of area and story line in it so im gonna throw a chunk at it. First off I think there desperately needed to be a full sex scene between Krystal and a lizard girl shapes yours left me wanting more ; -;. I think after the renaras ruins there should be a desert which you cant cross with out some item (yet to be decided) the only way to get the item through sex of coarse now traveling through the desert there will be a few creatures that'll want to rape you of course so when you get through it we get to a town were a small village is (dezians yet to be decided what they look like or are) there you'll get a new set of clothes earned by a money system.

Most likely the way to earn money will be a small mini game maybe sex but I don't think sex should solve everything xD.

Also in the town we gain access to a world map and to travel faster to big locations. the world map should work so that you don't get any clues on whats ahead like a fog the more places you visit the more the fog clears up.

In the village there should be a secret passage to something just for funs sake I'm open for ideas on what it could be.

That's all i got at the moment.

Ah! Striptease mini-game lol, but yeah, finding an alternative to the current "grinding" method of sexy - stop - sexy - stop. The biggest complaint I had while playing was how slow krystal walked and more than likely to just press the cheat button because I didn't want to go all the way back to the cleaning pool. It seemed more tedious than anything. And of course we could add another pool area or etc to clean Krystal off each time, but I'd say maybe save the area for more sexy-times and to keep down slow downs especially. All and all, I'll think of more ideas for that part later lol.

But yeah, clothing wise, I'd say not to let everyone be able to have all three outfits at once and keep it at the nude at the start, gradually gaining pieces of clothing throughout the adventure. Keeps it interesting, and overall more opportunities to make people discover and do more things to get those pieces.

And lastly though this hasn't really been the .3 items stuff lol, updating the lizardmen, Krystal looks fine overall and needs very little changing, while the lizard men look a bit clunky and rough, no offense to Playshapes, but i've seen people complaining about how they look a little bit out of place in a way so thought I'd bring it up here too, to update them also.

Okay, well my major upgrade is probably going to be to try and move to ActionScript 3.0, unless this is likely to make the project inaccessible to too many people (it shouldn't do). This will hopefully make setting up characters a bit easier, and remove the need to "poll" (constantly test a value) by using an events-system instead.

Additionally, current game-data such as Krystal's relevant stats, inventory, and relationship to various characters she's interacted with, will be kept in some structure, so that we can allow game-data to be saved easily.

My thinking for inventory is that it will be a small bar below Krystal's stats bar(s), and will display newest items normally. However, if you are interacting with a character, then relevant inventory items will be displayed, so you can quickly activate one. Likewise, if you wish to do something with a character, but an item is required, then the option will appear to choose to give that item (or one of several if relevant). Hovering the mouse over an item would display details on it, and a button on the bar would expand it to display all inventory. I like the idea of separating "quest" items that aren't usable normally, and general-purpose items that you can activate whenever you want.

The other thing I would like to discuss is if Krystal should have other stats than simply experience? My thinking is that experience will be the main factor for unlocking new scenes with characters, however she would have a new vitality stat. Some unlocked scenes may reduce this vitality, and if it lowers too much then Krystal will wake-up back at the nearest bed.
In order to avoid "damage", Krystal would need to train an endurance stat, perhaps by performing additional tasks for some characters, or finding appropriate items. The stats could also be named energy and stamina instead of vitality and endurance, if we continue with the assumption the player can't actually get Krystal killed.

My thinking then is that when fucking a character, Krystal's performance is measured by a mixture of damage she suffers, and how messy she is at the start. By performing well for characters you would gain favour, which may be required to unlock certain conversation topics, new scenes, or gain reward items that may be needed to proceed.

The stats/performance idea is purely an idea though, so I'd love thoughts on whether this would be a good idea, or perhaps just over-complicate things for the player.


Regarding Krystal's speed; since Krystal will hopefully use a single code "class" at all times (whereas currently character code needs to be copy/pasted into each instance), it would be easy to tweak her speed given suitable animations. It may even be another good idea for a trainable stat, representing the fact that she has just survived a high-speed crash only to get a few generous reptile rapings, so she's bound to be a bit slow to begin with :D

I quite like your stat Idea and i think that it should be implemented in the game I also think to make sure its not the focus of the game that we keep it as simple as you said it stamina and energy and maybe a skill stat that when raised helps you gain more exp faster. I also think that in some point in time we need to think about getting some more lesbian scenes planed into it and make them the uncommon treat in the game, because out of all the scenes in the first version I enjoyed the make out one the most with the lizard lady.

on a side note renara I would like too know if you would want me to start working on my idea of a desert area? because the soon I know if we're gonna have it or not the sooner I can get it done or at least get you a rough draft to present.

If you're eager to work on it then by all means feel free! I'm sure it can be added easily enough, I'm just not sure when exactly it would appear in a "proper" release though which is why none of the announcement topics have anything listed yet.

Some planning will certainly be required, as with all the creative folks jumping on board I fear we're going to have tons more new content than I can keep up with on my own, heh! I must admit I wasn't expecting such a positive response! Not a bad thing by any means though, as I would certainly love to have some new content for v0.3 so it's not just a behind-the-scenes update.

What kind of creatures do you imagine the desert scene having? Also, is there an existing Saurian, Zelda, or Mario location it will represent? You mention it occurring after the temple-structure? I'm thinking the dark-woods temple would be where the demons themselves reside, and where it is possible to shift to the other worlds as per PlayShape's original story idea, so once this point is reached there will be a world-map, so logically there won't be anything directly after the temple as you would exit it by choosing an area on the map, however a desert could easily fit another area?

Now, I've never actually played Star Fox adventures all the way through, only played it briefly at a friend's house. I've acquired a GameCube and am waiting for the game however, so I can see what I've been missing, and so I can get an idea of its layout and best locations :D
One location though that I've noticed is Cape Claw, which is a tropical sort of beach. It wouldn't be that unusual though for a desert to exist near it, so it could make a good starting point for the journey to unlock that location. i.e - the world map would let you travel to the desert, and you would have to actually pass through the desert before Cape Claw is accessible?

I'm sure there plenty of other possible ways to slot it in, so please do create it if that's what you want to do, creativity is encouraged :)

All i meant was that its was some time after the temple level and at the most all i can dish out at the moment is landscape but i do like the idea of it being connected to cape claw it makes more sense then.

I have no IDEA who are what will be populating it maybe some of the cactus guys from Legend of Zelda that always pop out of the sand (they rape nowadays don't cha know). As for the village i leave it up to the community to Decide who or what live there.

Also i think i have a mini game that we can use for money. My Idea is to have a betting ring on a beetle fight. During the fight you take control of one beetle and your controls would be moving left to right a strong attack, weak attack, and guard, (most likely to be, weak attack-A, strong attack-S, guard-D. the way money would be won is that you win, but you can win much more the lower the health your beetles health gets. also to make it so some people just don't almost kill the other beetle and sit and wait to let your health drop the other beetles attacks get stronger the lower its health is. He is he also trys to guard more. your opinion on this idea renara, and playshapes?

I also realize that this would mean a lot of action scripting in order to make an AI that we could use so that's why i kinda want your opinion on this renara because in all likely hood unless another person appears that really knows action script all of the action scripting would lye on you.

I want your opinion Plashapes because its valued and also i want to know if this still fits within your original idea. I would also need help in creating the beetle vectors so i can then use the bone tool to animate them.

Any other opinions are welcomed : D

I love the idea of a betting ring, or some sort of betting system, but a beetle seems too random to me, and just not sexy enough lol.
I think any sort of betting system should stay with the feel of the game, and not just jumping to a mini game. Just staying right there in the same scene, with the same characters.
So maybe Krystal would have to have a jerk off race against a lizard lady, both would be racing to jerk off their own sharpclaw on a chair. The winner who gets cum on them first wins. The system would be easy to develop, as simple as up and down as fast as you can, or at the correct times. No AI would be needed because you could randomate how long the opponent liz lady would take to get cum on her.
And its a simple concept that doesnt need any new graphics.

There could be other betting mini games in other levels, such as survival modes, where Krystal has to fuck as many wolf men before running out of time or stamina. Or i think a strip show was mentioned, thats pretty sweet. There could be so many ideas that you could make sexy to gain money.

Thats my opinion :) its gotta be sexy, and have some sort of continuity.

Well, since we're talking about items and such, I made a few little icons. The mario coin as currency, the heart with 3 layers that can go from less health to more from zelda, and well a crystal dildo..for who knows what lol. I've been reading for most of the ideas of stats and such and the interface that Ren was typing about and pretty much came up with those things, whether you want to use them or not is up to you. I believe having actual pictures keep people interested and maybe bring more ideas to the table.

All right i hear you, that makes more sense. So I think we can agree on the jerk off one and maybe some other ideas that'll "cum" up later (i crack myself up). But thanks for your in put and guidance on the idea. Also i think its an unspoken idea that's set in everyone's mind that Krystal will have a dildo ;D mcgee but still good job on the images.

Ok so we've talked about in the other thread the master sword being used as a key item in the game to advance the plot, how about we have a few other classic nintendo items used as well? Like say the super mushroom/fireflowers. I have really no idea where they would come into use at, maybe as fetch items for mario/luigi, since the only way we seem to want krystal to 'fight' is in sexual battles to exhaust her partners, lol.

Also on another point, playshapes gave a rough outline of his original idea, but he also included samus and talked about being able to strip her down from piece by piece of her chozo armor, to the zero suit, until she's fully naked. And while I honestly love this idea, is there a place we can work in samus into things to feel natural? Like say if there's a cave level i think that would be a great location for finding her(aside from the first cave before the dark woods), but off the top of my head the best reasoning i can have for her being there is on some mission from the galactic federation, but as for how that leads to her getting stripped and whatever else, I've got nothing.

ObviousMcgee, those look damn good, and i love the idea of the heart to represent the energy level (if Renara is going to use it).

As for the dildo. Very Sweet.
I was thinkin of making one too as QQ said, i think we all were. But what i was thinkin was this:
Dildo's are a different way to gain sexual experience points, that you can use anywhere.
Once she starts on it, you can gain maybe +1 experience for every time you push up and down at the exact correct times when she's going up and down on it.
It will act like a training tool for better experience, a slower way to get it, but different and fun in its own right.
And I also thought, that we can have a variety of dildos to buy, each with its own sexual position that she rides it with.
So that players will want to spend their money on new ones.
I already have one in mind that I may add once the new version comes out! (but the dildo i have in mind is a secret for now)

Also trunks idea with the mushroom is an easy one to do: such as making a certain character's dick bigger. Fire flower I have no clue, i don't think burning anyone is going to do it for me lol - maybe to use to get past a ice wall or something, something not sexually intented - or unfreezing a zora or other character trapped in a large chunk of ice?

Samus: I was planning on Samus having crash landed just like krystal and fox (infact i was thinking that she gets misdirected thinkin that she is about to find fox's crashed ship, when she finds samus instead) - or maybe like you said she was given a mission by the federation to stop the rising forces of the SharpClaw activity, however they take down her ship unexpectedly with the same strategy they took down krystals and she ends up being a sex slave for them already before even krystal is taken (maybe helping give ideas on how krystal can escape). - and now that i look at it, i kind of like the second idea better.

I think a big possibility that hasn't been said yet with the dildo that needs to be said. THERE MUST BE SOME GIRL CHARACTERS KRYSTAL CAN USE IT ON. because sure krystal is fun but add a lizard girl or another female character and its a party. but i also like the idea of it to gain exp whenever you want to although i think it should be automatic but have different speeds and within those different speeds it'll have your option of pushing in and out in time with the dildo.

As for the fireflower, why not just make it almost like viagra for women, basically using it as like a special quest item to use to use to take on quite a large number of "foes." Than again the Star power would probably make more sense lol, so hmmmmm.

Man your work is awesome, its pretty much the reason I got Adobe flash, that and for some reason i felt the urge to want to make a zombie survival game, but thats for a different forum lol

A idea for the fire flower could be it may temporally keeps foes away from you. probably no one would want to use it for certain reasons lol, but say you wanted to get to another place quick for the quest and dont feel like bothering with foes. I read some where about maybe fast traveling to some places and a idea for that is maybe she can buy or have to earn a bike, horse, scooter, unicycle etc to use and just have it when you click on the vehicle have a map come up and just end up at a certain in the place you clicked. No need for animation for it, just a black screen and your there. For the dildo lesbian scenes you could also have Krystal buy a strap-on or have one of the other characters have one or you could even have Krystal or one of the characters have a potion for a herm or something. Another idea is for the quest is there could be a potion for Krystal to temporally become one of the reptiles and that could give her access to more places that she normally in not allowed.
Just some spitball ideas i randomly thought of in my insomniatic state lol
Ah, ah, I almost forgot...I'm also going to need you to go ahead and come in on Sunday, too.

Thanks! And whatever is decided on the fireflower, it should definately change her colour template from blue/white to red/white (like it does with mario). That way you could use it as a sort of clothes item as well, changing krystal up a bit for all the sex scenes with some new sexy red fur.

I also like the idea of instantly getting around for saving time, but it should only be for places already discovered.
I was thinking maybe a large teleporting stone in a certain area for every level, that once touched, will glow and allow you to teleport to another one in another level, but only if you've touched the other ones.
