o-o, You dont see how her thighs are smaller than her calfs? I believe thats not fine. Plus Trunks posted the pic on here for constructive criticism, thats what hes getting :P

It's more for ptoon to get feedback than me, although i'm sure he has a grasp already on how to handle things.

Feel free to start up a thread about replay-ability and customization, not like I'm the only one that considers idea suggestions, lol

body length wise, this Krystal clocks in at 6 heads, which is almost what real people have, so the parts of her that differ from human proportion stand out more than other cartoony/exaggerated stylization's. The thighs and torso have been mentioned, but along with that, I'd say are also issues with the upper back and shoulders, arms and her pelvic girdle. Normally I wouldn't dissect the issues I'm seeing, but it looks like this would be a nightmare to functionally animate because of the flaws, so I'm going to break things down as I see it:

At her increased proportion basis, her forearms should be longer. Where the fist ends is where the wrist should start. As is, she looks like she'd have difficulty just playing with herself — though it might not seem it since her pelvis is too high. Lowering the pelvis and extending (and thickening) the thighs and pushing her body height (and proportion) to 6.5 heads would help her look better and give her room for getting penetrated without being pumped in her stomach right from insertion. In addition to needing a bit more thickness at her torso, her back arch is way too steep and peak's at the wrong spot (so that strap there looks weird) and she doesn't have enough connective area for her shoulder closest to the audience — it looks like that arm is dislocated and that she doesn't have shoulder blades or ribs. Ah, and the shoulder starts too far back anyway, so yea, I guess that shoulder is dislocated.

The face is fantastic and, as a still, the rest at least looks hot, but with a bit more scrutinization, it seems it'd look pretty weird animated, esp for sex.

I thought I'd just mention that wary little of what you see in that iteration of Krystal will make it in to the new one, I'm drawing her form scratch, and I've been working on a couple of female body types and the majority of the issues bought up have been addressed.

In addition to what ptoon said, and with regards to valithan's comment about the face, this includes the face being redone as well, all I can say is trust me when I say it's different but just as if not more beautiful than what kal did, and he's still playing around with it to get just the right look.

h'okay, so...

I've been keeping track of this since shortly after the original hit Funnygames, and haven't said a word on the forums yet so if I come out to be a cock, ignore me, but... the proportions of the model are glaringly hard to ignore for me, her waist may as well snap in half cause it's too thin and her ribcage/back is bent inward when it should have just at least a slight arch outward, and she should have some kind of hips and tail-end at least, like everyone else has said from what I've been able to read (am drunk), her legs are a bit too thin, potentially too short but I'm not sure on that one, and her face from the eyes up looks fine aside from maybe having just a hair's too much forehead. The muzzle and the lips, in my eyes are just a bit off... again, I don't mean to sound like a cock but when I look at the muzzle specifically it kinda makes me think derp. I saw that Ptoon is an artist so I'm sure y'all will do fine but if you need anymore paper concept sketches I draw a bit myself, but am entirely unfamiliar with Flash so... ^^;

On a lighter note, it is really nice to see something coming out of what's happened so far. Keep up the work, my apologies if I come off as a douche.

nah it's fine, too many people thing 'oh i'm going to sound like an asshole' no you're giving feedback, you're pointing out what bothers you and why you think it looks wrong, nothing wrong with that.

On a side note it's funny that we wanted to keep this under wraps but now that we've shown this, and seeing a lot of the reactions to it, i'm thinking we should show the early lineart stages of some of the other things we are working on as well. I'll have to see what the team says, you guys deserve to see what's actually going to be in the game, and deserve to give some proper feedback, instead of us releasing everything, saying it's finished, and then getting a lot of negative backlash. i doubt this will happen as there's very little we ever ask ptoon to change, but it can't hurt to be careful.

Testing out the water to see if you can do a cannon ball is almost always a good idea. I wholly agree with what trunks just said because these kinds of things are the ties that bind this community together. Be it from the very top handed down to us, the community, or from a lurking artist or animator. If we didn't have that kind of creativity and sense of closeness i don't know if people would log on as much as they do. That kind of communication is good for everybody...the community gets to feel involved and not feel like outsiders looking in and the artists get constructive criticism or even a bit of help modifying their work.

I dont know if i like the idea of kal just up and leaving us all like he did but i can only hope that he comes back in time. I like the model because it has big boobs a shy look on her face and nice hair. On the other side of the coin she do'n have no ribs, no thighs, small ass arms, and...it....if she looked any worse she'd came out of a concentration camp or some shit, and that ain't rual gudd. I'd give him a B+ on good effort but a C- on delivery.

Respectively, No hard feelins towards kal's musings made manifest.

Continuing the role role from before,

I think it would be a wonderful idea to release pieces of what's done to the community, if you want to make a good game, you let the people your aimed toward know what's going on before it's done, because like you said, if you release it all at once and peope hate all over it, well... it's too late. As far as Kalypso up and leaving, if that's what's happened, no one's getting paid to do any of this so, while it sucks, it's understandable. Shit happens, keep moving forward as best as possible and everything will be okay, and if not and the project dies :P Well, we'll survive even with that disappointment.

I think it looks really great, I was a little worried at that old Krystal he had released a while back it looked really weird. I like this one because it still looks similar to the original Playshapes version which I really liked. I also disagree that she is too skinny, I think she looks fine, she wasn't any bigger in the original version. (Though I do agree her thighs should be proportional to her calves)

That's essentially what we're going to be doing, v0.3 is just the first step really on the new project, it's a pretty big one, but with the amount of stuff that's new it's where we're going to be leaping off from, assuming everything is in order :)

Aside from what others have already said multiple times (certain areas being too thin and whatnot), I think it looks pretty cool and I love the amount of detail put into it. I could see playing the game with that model.

Even so, I think Ptoon will probably do a rad job of making a new model... or, I guess making new everything? That seems like a lot of work.

well for what it's worth I'm all for the letting the rest of the community in on the progress because I think we could definitely benefit from the number of insightful views. and I definitely think this would help trunks role because it was hard enough for him alone to get Kal to fix up parts and if pToon's as pushy as he says then we'll need as many opinions as we can get.

better watch yourself pToon

and if I have to be on topic then I'll just say I was pretty much fine with everything on Kals model and really liked it except for her mouth
I animate and draw stuff! Check out my gallery if you wish.

Is there any way you guys could post this as a Flash model with layers (assuming it was built that far)? I'd really enjoy messing around with it for animations.

Only if Kal comes back and that's what he wants; there'd be little point animating it as pToon-T is doing a new model and it'll likely have different proportions :)

Too bad to hear about kal, is there any reason why he dissappeared? Anyway the model looks fine, all that was really off is what playshapes is notoriously bad with, weird perspective and overly large bust sizes. While her thighs are off it is mostly the breast that give the illusions of something being wrong, decrease the size and you will see what I am talking about.

Also looking forward to seeing the rest of his works.

Your guess is as good as mine, I'm hoping it's nothing serious and that it's just real life getting in the way or some kind of technical fault (i.e - the usual for volunteer projects like this). If anyone knows anything then feel free to share! pToon-T is more than capable of carrying on regardless, but we certainly don't want too much work on any one person!
