the last time i heard, he has this and the demon one on pause until he finishes dusty, once he finishes dusty he would pick a project, now that he finished the project he was kinda split, and has hinted towards a (if i am correct) kingdom hearts - ish hentai game which would mean these are on pause again

Where does he get his sound bytes from for Samus? Because they would be really helpful to use because I can't find any that I can DL for free

Hi Gorepete, got a quick question about this style of game-making. When you're making the level itself, I assume you have 2/3 layers of it (backgroud, active platform, foreground). To get the sheer size of the map, what do you do? Do you make it fit to say a 550 x 400 file and then make the sprites smaller...also coding it so that it zooms in on the player character? or do you have it across multiple scenes each triggered by a set area or something. Want to get started on backgrounds and just thought i'd ask for a little advice on them first

Thanks, HairMetalIsGod

You use a "virtual camera". It is a box that is the size and shape that you want the "camera" to be when the player is viewing your movie. It has the same proportions as the stage (although the size can be larger or smaller) and there is action script attached that set the stage size and shape to match that of the box/camera.

New forum users should check the dates! This is almost two years old! I have dropped the project long since, although the FLAs are posted in the thread somewhere for other to play with if they wish.

/facepalm

*cough* You DO realize that he's the creator of this thread and also the creator of the project in question, right? He's got the right to respond in his own thread.... unless you were directing that at SoVeryFly, in which case you've quoted the wrong post.

Nah I think that he's saying that that if they read what GP said they would stop posting on the thread.

Exactly, there's no point in commenting in a thread thats contents contain an abandoned project.

Like I am doing right now to say, Like you have done twice by one seemingly quoting the wrong post I feel, and two putting the message I did quote. That about right?

If so I feel you are a huge hypocrite. Why do you even care?
I decided that it's not worth the time.
I do want to say regardless if there is an "Abandoned project" or not people can post in threads until they are closed. Unless an admin wishes to correct me on this which is perfectly fine, in any case. Why did you feel the need to re post basically what Gore said lol..Seem's more pointless then saying "good work" to a project. Regardless if it's "abandoned"

A lot of "Finished" things get abandoned but that doesn't mean people don't play them
