it wont because it IS finished, they only take unfinished ones so they can call it trash and yell at us to stop uploading unfinished games and demos, when its not even us uploading them

^^That slideshow took Mr.D one or two weeks to finish, im guessing it wasnt even that hard. These kind of games take mych more effort due to bugs and more movement.

Oh belive me making that slideshow was not easy eaven if it did take me only around 2-3 weeks. I was working on it each day for hours and I dont mean 2-3 hours. More like 5-8 hours per day. No wait... you know what? It is that easy. I, someone who started with flash only after I joined the Lok forum and only know how to make a button, made something resembeling a lok game. Why did no one else made something similar by now?
But it is true that Dusty's Castle is a game with actual scripting and gameplay unlike my slideshow.

Either way. you guys are doing a great job using your flash skills and whatever program that you use. It's not easy doing all this work. no matter if it takes 2 to 1000 weeks. They look good and move very well. Thanks for the awesome things you do guys :D

My flash player closes when I press next, but it runs fine in a browser, kinda weird.

Also, the game and the plant room in particular is slowing down a lot now compared to earlier versions.

Good work regardless.

Yea I know. Sorry I get a bit more easily pissed lately.

Anyway back to the topic. GO GO gadget first soon to be finished LoK forum game :D

Aditional Irony: The first to be finished LoK game ....
- has nothing to do with Krystal
- started as an joke on "why cant anyone get anything finished" thread
- was never supposed to be completed

The hardest part of the process is making sprites and animating them. To say Mr. D's "slideshow" wasn't hard is an insanely naive and insulting little bit of stupidity. He designed all the characters from scratch, and probably put as much work into it as I have into this. Mine just has a bit more scripting, which is actually the easy part most times.

On the one hand there's a difference between being stupid and not knowing a fact, and on the other hand there's the fact that the scripting eluded Mr D while the sprite-making did not.

Ain't fightin'.

Just sayin'.

Like, to be WILLFULLY ignorant, - for example, to see a dictionary definition, and instead of accepting correction, to say "but you should rely on yourself, not on dictionaries, to tell you the meanings of words" - now THAT is fucking STUPID.

Wasn't the actual statement about relative ease of sprite-making compared to movement-coding just ignorance, if it was even wrong?

People are now fighting just because I mentioned how Mr. D's game was finished....what the hell.

Both Mr D and Gore have done amazing work here, all that needs to be said.

Btw Gore just found a couple of things, when i played through, Dusty's eyes were open in the bedroom scene and i found that the plants wouldn't activate if i cooked the ingredients first

Not that I want to steal your work but I was wondering if I could see the actual code going into this project. I have been wanting to make my own games but I'm not really good with Flash. I'm more of a C# and C++ programmer. I'm not asking for the artwork or the actual document but I would like to see the actual event handleing.

On another note great work cant wait to see the ending animation/story.

Gorepete did you add the Vase yet for the end of sloth? The only one I can see it on top of the fireplace. But I can't seem to get it.

Couple Things.

Gallery mode is inacessable.
I'm positive that it is a work in progress and will not mention it further. As we all should do kindly.

Item Pickup error
Picking up the page in the basement, while also having the cookbook recipie active causes, instead, the user to pick up the ingrediant rather than the page. Minor occurance but still, it's something.

Finality error
Again, sure its something you are working on: vase for sloth completetion, wichever one of the three you intend to use (study, artroom left or artroom right) does not yet have a trigger on it. As thus I cannot finish the game good-(boy/girl) style.

Glowy
The glowyness on the statues is missing!! I'm not sure if you removed it or it is an error but I, personally, miss the glowy light on the statues on ground level. I enjoyed watching the red get redder and the white get whiter but *shrug* its your project brosif.

Continuity thingy
Just in case it hasn't been brought up, as i haven't read every post in the thread. Azeral, which is remarkably similar to Azrael, seems to be a huge icon in the major monotheistic faiths. Throughout each (hebrew, many forms of christianity, islam, etc.) Azrael is the angel of death and helped by god. The name literally translates to the Helped of God. Rather than a deamon bent on corrupting man. But, again, its your project, just an FYI for you.
(and as a disclaimer. I just googeled it and cross referanced it on a few sites. My info is not professional or to be considered absolutely factual)
