Not really. My experience has been that once a hobby becomes a job, it quickly becomes a lot less fun. I would actually have to meet deadlines, cater to people's feedback - my god it would be awful!

and when its not fun for the makers alot of the time the actual game suffers and is no longer such an amazing thing it turns into more of a "here i threw it together because i felt i HAD to"

Exactly. Some great flash games are the ones where the creators didn't get any money for it. Well, the great flash games in america. Japan makes some amazing flash games as well, and those you do pay for. I am pretty sure those are not their full time jobs, they just do it on the side to sell at conventions and DLsite for some extra cash.

Well I must say the boss is hard, I kept getting killed by the FALLING ROCKS and was FLIPPING out about it. But I'm sure that you'll figure it out in due time.

You beat the first boss by backflip kicking its rocks into its face until its shield is down. Then you either seduce it or kick some more rocks into it.

You can't beat the second boss yet, and you may or may not EVER be able to beat it.

If you have read, Pete has put this on suspension, and when he comes back to it, he will be starting from scratch.

It's kinda sad though. This project was amazing and I feel like there's alot behind curtains or test stuff we didn't get to see.=C
But if he is done then that is his choice!

^this.

Gore's not done, he's taking a hiatus then coming back to rework it. It'll still be the same character (though with a different graphic I believe, check his avatar picture), and the story will for the most part be the same, if not be completely the same, but the mechanics and levels will be different, I suppose. Don't come to Sakyubasu's funeral yet.

What happened with this thread? The game got REALLY good then its maker just went off on two other projects? Or is he* still working on it? I just want too know if i should keep checking periodically because i love whats there but its depressing when i check and see nothing new... [sniffle]

If he stopped working on it, he would have said so. He's probably working on a huge portion of Sakyu and then he'll release it when that big portion is done.

Aaleen13 Wrote:the last time i heard, he has this and the demon one on pause until he finishes dusty, once he finishes dusty he would pick a project, now that he finished the project he was kinda split, and has hinted towards a (if i am correct) kingdom hearts - ish hentai game which would mean these are on pause again

ive answered the question both on this one and the samus platformer quite a few times and if you would go up a few posts you will see plenty of other people have as well

Gore DID NOT STOP this.... he has took a break and began working on dusty, after he was done with dusty he would work on either this or the samus game, he finished dusty and followed up by hinting at and then announcing that he is keeping both of the SUSPENDED projects on hold, he has not ABANDONED either of them, and is now working on a Kingdom Hearts game, he will then either return to one of the suspended projects or find a new one, though he has not abandoned them.

he has said that if he goes to samus he will change alot as it was A LONG TIME AGO and he can do much better
he has said that if he goes to Sakyu he would be essentially starting over, he is not getting rid of it, he is just changing ALOT, it is still the same game (as far as we know), it just might have a different art or different gameplay, but it will essentially be the same, he has also mentioned having already worked alot on it, but most of it is in programming and would not be a noticable change if uploaded so he has not, he has also had a few teaser posts about the second boss (he acted as if he had uploaded it and no one noticed or as if he had forgotten to upload it and he thought he had), but he has also decided to keep the second boss as a "cockblock" point (which i think is a tad mean since its going to be on hold for so long)

he has not abandonded this or samus, and he is not currently putting his main focus on them, he has said he may work on them a little, but the main focus will always be on his main project

now that all that has been said, i have a question for either gore or anyone else who may know
did he delete his blog? or has he just removed the link? i had alot of problems with my computer recently so i lost my bookmarks and now i dont have it anymore, this has been for a while but i never got around to asking
so if anyone knows please let me know and if it is still up please give me a link

Hate to break it to ya, bro, but his signature says otherwise about Samus.

Unless, of course, "Abandoned Project" doesn't mean "A project that he has abandoned."

OMG! And I mean that in [b]an[b] acronym state. Why oh why...Okay, okay, you know what the ground beef is here? I got piss all over my monitor that says he’s abandoned the project. WHAT?! Did the projectile go and abandon its self now!? shit, it’s free guy’s, let him work on his own thing. If you wanna masturbate, then go to some youtube porn site or something. Ejaculate, jack off, push the donkey, or whatever it is you do, then come back. I have half-no- an eighth of a mind that the proceedings of the mind goes towards the sexual fantasy that comes with the game. How the hellors am I suppose to know what that means! Translate it yourself!

Those of you that like it for the game play, gewd for you.

no breaking involved, i hadnt noticed the new signature, thanks for pointing that out, i just hadnt heard him say it yet so i was posting off of what i knew, not sure if i said it in this post but i know i said it in the quoted post, "the last i heard" that and i dont remember him naming it o.o oh well lol

Edit: tbh i was tired of answering it so many times so i tried to make a big enough and fully explained post where its not easy to miss it or not get it for all the people who tend to not read and then say "OMG WHENS THE NEXT UPDATE"
as fuzz said, let him work on what he wants to work on.... it IS free after all

I know it's half a year, but whatever. Anyways, do you have a .fla version of that? I've been wondering if that sample uses both vector and frame-by-frame animation. I know PimpToons uses combination in his RoR games.
