Sakyubasu no Tatakai I (Finished)

@Gore: I just tried a second time (Sorry got distracted with the GW2 stress test), this time at the earliest possible time, which I think is right after the stingers. Same problem. I'm working in the browser version, but I'll try offline in a second. So far I've been able to reproduce it consistently:
1. Right before Beezy, mask defeated, broodmother not defeated, elite tender not seduced.
2. Right as chapter 2 starts, I ran right there after the cutscene.

It's not frozen, I just think space isn't pushing the dialog forward. Might want to recheck that the button/listener (depending on AS2/AS3) is set to trigger on space. That's the only cause I can think of.

Well see now I wish someone found it earlier so I would know about the bug! I will look into it... I posted a quick update earlier today but it appears that didn't fix it. I will investigate some more. Probably right about the dialogue trigger not resetting.

edit - now that I think about it that makes sense. When you get it, the background "updates" with the change and the trigger to reset the dialogue isn't on the updated frame. I will look at fixing it tomorrow sometime in the morning.

Good call!

Btw I was not kidding about the Slam attack (and pokemon reference) becouse I have the same problem as Raeg. For some reason the game stops at the text bubble when I want to pick up the sword.

Do those updates affect the version on newgrounds?

If you really want more of a hint you can pm me, however I think it is a good hint now. I also tried every move, but I never used slam for some reason. LOL

Pretty good action game... save for maybe two bosses that are old school nintendo unforgiving but still a pretty good game
-Though I see why you put a level cap since just waiting to level would make a few of the bosses just a bit too simple... cough -if I had just a little more charm i could beat the Mask in the first round XD- cough
Though this causes the tease that you'll have all the skills you can get through soul harvesting about halfway through chapter 2 and the rest are found by enemies and bosses

I do have to wonder will Dusty's patron of good and evil appear as Bonus bosses in part 2?

and are Eva and her siblings based of the deadly sins -since Perona or whoever states that if Eva shows up the other six sides will start fighting instead of waiting for someone else to make the first move.

Eva's is kinda obviousily lust
Beezy might be greed -due to her namesake- but She could be just Envy

So basically, the reason few people could find the sword was because it required using the shittiest ability in the game. Nice to know.

... It makes the brood mother fight go by alot faster though yeah you'll be using blitz more often... The problem is your never really given a hint to use it in a particular location cause well useless your just goofing around.

I must be pathetic. I had always figured it might be an ability use and I have tried Slam all over. I'm trying it again and I'm still failing at finding this damn sword. :\ I'm hoping it doesn't have to be a precise spot you have to stand on, hope it's a fair range. I'll keep trying.

Slam is shittiest ability in the game? Hmm thats wierd. I use Slam all the time and find it much more usefull than blitz. You just have to know how and when to use it. And it can damage broodmother.

Honetly i much prefer blitz with slam being more of a situational item for myself. You need it to beat the tenders and broodmother imo so it is useful.
I made a walkthrough to a finished game on this site and thats it. FOR GREAT CONTRIBUTIONS

Finally beat Beezy... poor Beezy i can't blame her for wanting to blow herself up. I have no real reason to root for Eva to win... She's honestly no better then her siblings at the moment.

Hey Gorepete, thanks for the wonderful game, but I've got an complaint.
The difficulty of the bosses is just too unforgiving when attempting to use well thought out tactics. The Broodmother for example, when using tactics she sometimes switches to using the thin spikes instead of the thick ones and you rarely have time to use slam to counter that, especially when you think she is using the regular spike attack. Could you possibly nerf the Broodmother and the Mask? Thanks in advanced.

So when you get to part 2 will the items in this part be unattainable -Okay the Brood Mother not being fightable makes sense but the Mask should still be availableunless the Gorger island gets nuked to Limbo or something, Will all you items/souls carry over?

Do you have a skill level plan in place since the skills have Lv 1 by them, I'd guess those would go up when the game's RPG aspect gets expanded -IE Honey pot level 1 heals slowly, Honey pot level 2 heals quickly, Honey pot level 3 heals instantly and leaves a regen effect or Empower Last longers and adds more damage

like lv 1 last 10 second does 2x damage, lvl 2 lasts 20 seconds does 4X damage lv 3 last 30 seconds does 8x damage IDK

I guess certain passives could level up as well like Dash does reduced damage at level 1, Normal Damage at level 2 and increased damage at level 3, Resolve gives 2 points of Res per level at level 1, 4 points at level 2 7 points at level 3.

Selfcontrol upgrades from being able to break healing, to being able move while healing -but you can't use abilites or get hit- to the healing will take place regardless.

Granted i could be easily off there
