Its not German at all, I'm pretty sure. Its very much a British word. At least its used in Great Britain all over the place.

It's origins are Scottish Gaelic and English combo, so Great Britain is accurate

I've been there several times but never heard the expression outside of Sweden

I can't speak for the lazy one, but I first heard the word in a Dave Barry book called "Money Secrets" and looked it up (Dave Barry being a famous American humor writer)

Please be aware that the lazy one's been around for awhile! She disappeared for awhile (my personal thought was she wanted to see if she could outdo Garfield the cat in epic naps) but did come back for fun and games (at her expense, sometimes...)

I honestly can't believe that the lazy one's "welcome thread" is 100 pages...but I guess that's what happens when parts of it is a bidding war for her!

to be fair she's newer then me and i don't remember originally welcoming kitsune.

I feel so warmly re-welcomed.
