Lately I've been kinda disappointed by the media I've been consuming. So I'd like to know what some of your favorites are~
I guess for me, I like Holyland, Gantz (without the ending), Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Akumetsu.
My guilty pleasure is SAO.

The only anime I'm currently watching and plan to watch is Fairy Tail -- didn't get into the manga. I've watched maybe four or so other anime in the most recent ten years otherwise. Not a devoted fan of the medium, which should surprise the one or two people who have had the misfortune of hearing me drone on about FT when something in it hooked my attention/speculation.

If you liked Gantz and Holyland, then I think you might like Btooom! Deadman Wonderland, and D. Gray Man.

Manga I'm following are Claymore, D. Gray-Man, Berserk, SnK, Fairy Tail, Gigantomakhia, Toriko, One Piece, Hunter x Hunter, Übel Blatt, The Sacred Blacksmith, Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou, and Witch Hunter. Anime I've bookmarked are Avatar TLA and LoK, Claymore, Cowboy Bebop, Fairy Tail and Fairy Tail 2014, and Fantastic Children. I'm also following some webcomics including Sinfest, Manly Guys Doing Manly Things, Slightly Damned, Modest Medusa, Fanboys, Penny Arcade, Fruit Incest, HoneyBadger and Friends, The Landscaper, Chocolate Milkmaid, Pawn by Frederik K.T. Andersson (hasn't been updated in almost 15 months), Legendary Woodsman, and The Adventures of Dr. McNinja.

I've heard great things about FT but I worry it'll be another drag like the big 3 (Naruleach Piece).

Oh yeah, someone did recommend me Btooom! before. I wasn't a huge fan of Deadman Wonderland when I read it tbh, it felt kinda inconsistent hehe.
And D. Gray Man has been on my list for quite some time now, I must get around to it!

Is Übel Blatt the one about the kid that gets supernatural powers from drinking breastmilk? And BERSERK, I'm waiting for it to finish before I start that one haha.

Having never watched Bleach/Naruto/One Piece (I'm one of the three people on each continent who hasn't) I wouldn't know for sure, but since just being aware of the medium for so-and-so years confers a lot of general knowledge/opinions, I wouldn't doubt the shortcomings it suffers (middling production quality, copious filler, at-times-meandering plots) are things it shares with those three. Fairy Tail is one of the longer/est anime I've seen, too, having clocked over 200 episodes in five years of airtime (notwithstanding its hiatus for most of 2013).
I would say it's worth it if you ever want to spend a few weeks throwing away 75 hours of your life to marathon it, which is the proper way to enjoy anime of that quality: in huge doses to moderate its tendency to fuck around needlessly with the pace of its own writing.
As an aside, good older manga to check out are BLAME! by Tsutomu Nihei (Zeus can vouch for this) and Rurouni Kenshin by Nobuhiro Watsuki. The latter also has an anime, but it diverges entirely from the manga at about the point the manga enters its final plot arc, which is super lame. I never watched the end of it.

Sidonia no Kishi by Nihei is a pretty interesting read.
Ubel Blatt is about a kid trying to kill 7 heroes... except the "heroes" aren't as heroic as they seem...
The one with boobie milk and swinging around a fucking huge scythe is Seikon no Qwesar.

I agree, the best way is to have a marathon!
Also, BLAME! is great! There's also a prequel to it called Biomega if you haven't checked it out yet^^

Ah yes, Seikon, that's the one.

Compared to Naruto/Bleach/One Piece, Fairy Tail has little in the way of filler eps. And the fillers eps are way better. I hate One Piece filler eps, they make me want to put my head through the TV. Guess how happy I was when I brought the One Piece Collection No. 9 only to realise pretty much the whole 25 eps are filler. ARGH.
I didn't watch Bleach, the manga was good up to a point and Naruto just annoyed me. You go through years and years of watching and barely anyone dies, not even the enemy. It is the typical shounen, once beaten the enemy is either good or stops being evil. Suddenly every body starts dying. Apart from Sad Sack of Shit Uke. (Or as some call him Sasuke)
I like comedy and romance anime at the moment. So, Binbougami Ga, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Beelzebub, Cuticle Detective Inaba, Baby Steps, Yowamushi Pedal, Hajime no Ippo, D-Gray man, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, Hataraku Maou-sama!, Hoozuki no Reitetsu, Hunter x Hunter(until the insect arc, which sucked), Mikakunin De Shinkoukei, Log Horizon and a heap more.
But I have to say I love some of the old delinquent manga (and those lucky enough to have anime) especially Kyou Kara Ore Wa, Tenshi na Konamaiki, Ocha Ni Gosu, Angel Densetsu, I'm Doushirou and Hell's Kitchen is a freaking funny cooking manga.

Wowowow didn't think I'd see a Nihei callout!
Sidonia no Kishi is pretty interesting, though I liked BIOMEGA, BLAME! and NOiSE better.

Over the last year i have been watching way too much anime (that's about 100 series, counted them to 105 or so, but I might have misscounted or forgotten to write some down)
most shows were 12 episodes = 4 hours so that's over 400 hours of anime since feb.-march
-.-'

JUST finished watching Ergo Proxy.
I've had my eye on it since 2007ish and finally got around to watching it.
I like it. Though I made the mistake of falling in love with Lil, so now I have post-anime depression syndrome...
