Okay so i just got done writing a post post on face book on a subject of a school in the USA torturing students with electric shocks.
Will you please read and i'm always willing for feed back.
https://www.change.org/petitions/ban-torturous-shock-devices-used-on-special-needs-people?utm_source=action_alert&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=55487&alert_id=FbMuhzYVIh_RziPDkDmuy

I got a email from change.org that i read. I now feel sick. I generally sign something i support and rarely tell other people about it but this involves torture of disabled kids using electric shock therapy and i have to say something. Please at the very least click the link and do some basic research. I've provided links and this should be stopped.

It seems the "judge rotenberg education center" Is the only school that uses shock therapy; which i quite frankly thought was outlawed, but then again it's likely medical research and treatment that is illegal. school also uses modified devices which exceed what FDA safety stands for such devices by 3 times the allowed amount.

I would like to point out that only a third of the schools population is rigged up like this.

The problem everyone should have is not just the fact this school uses electric shocks but that it does it in the most unsafe and unreasonable way possible. There have been 3 cases of abuse in 2007 where 2 patients were given electric shocks at the urging of former student posing as employee; and one where a students was restrained when they legally couldn't. What information we have says that a student can expect to have 16 shocks a day with 44% of those being for minor offenses.

In 2012 a mother sued the school after they shocked her kid for not taking off his jacket; but then pinned him to the ground for 7 hours laughing as they shocked him for making noise because they were shocking him. This not only caused burns but also permanent brain damage.

The devices in optimal situation should be used to stop behavior which sides more on a dangerous or causes harm to others. Such behaviors include drugs, attacking others, suicide attempts, etc etc. At this school this is what is acceptable for electrified punishment: failing to follow directions; failing to be neat; slouching in a chair; "nagging"; stopping work for more than 10 seconds; and other similar acts of noncompliance.

After reading this, will you goto the link at the start or even better do your own research and then go to the link and support the ban on these devices. From what i've read these things are very rare and they should not be used if even what's acceptable for their use can be by ignored so easily.

Strangely enough i have to say good on fox for being the first network to pick up on this. If this school has shown anything it's that we need immediate change right now and right now is 2 years to late (Based on when the story was reported on. I've seen abuse citing from 2007.)

Oh... Life is mean and sad, while people are selfish and doing this what will give profits only to them.
I don't know how doing this can be legal, like there would be no morals, but well... At least not everywhere in the world.
