Where to start

Postby Elsa » Fri Mar 28, 2014 8:38 pm

New person here, wanting to know where I start. Looking for a fresh start on stuff to do as I enter my final year of studies. I can do a bit of everything, I can do a bit of programming in Java, C++, and Actionscript. I can do a bit of digital art, from pixel art all the way up to photoshop and vector based drawings. I can do a bit of music composition, a bit of animating, and a bit of writing. I also like to do roleplaying. Anyway, just wanted to say hi.

Well hi, welcome to the site. Feel free to explore around and see what we have available for you to take part in. There are plenty of us who are good folks, so you will feel welcome.

As for what you know, I am in a project that is in need of a coder and animator and we're in need of someone who can do that. And music composition? That's sort of a bonus since we haven't really figured out what we're going to do in the music department... at least we haven't found the right sound for it. So yeah we would be happy if you join our little project by providing some help in coding and animating.

Hello, I'm QuizmasterBos, you can just call me Quiz.
I work together with VintageBass on this project (I'm the leader of sorts) that is still in need of a coder.

Now, we'd like you to help us out if you would want to. However, there's a thing of note:
The game centers around sexual concepts, which is the same as every game on this site as the site is pornographic in nature.

I don't know if you are willing to help out with pornographic game material, as you can likely not put any of this in your portfolio for your studies, if that's what you want to do.

If you are interested in more details, I'd advise you to reach 10 posts quickly to be able to send private messages as I prefer to keep the game secret until we have laid out the basics at least.

What is the game about, and what do you want it coded in. As you say, some things I wouldn't mind being in my portfolio, this is one I would not want. Doesn't mean I wouldn't be interested if the idea catches my fancy.

Well, I'd really prefer keeping the plan under wraps until the right time, which is only once the basic game is done.
Now, I could send you a private message detailing all information, but you won't be able to see it until you reach ten posts on the site.

So, before I can give any information, I gotta ask you to get a few more posts first. Then I can tell you about our game plan.

Ok then. Isn't keeping it under wraps on a forum chocked full of talent a bad thing though?

Not necessarily. I expect they'd like to get a good proof of concept before posting anything about it.

It makes sense, but at the same time, if I didn't make the thread, I wouldn't have known either right. Either way different strokes for different folks!

There's also the option of getting in contact somewhere else other than on the forums. Email is the most obvious choice.

Yeah, that's more or less what we want.

Now, Elsa, you have 10 posts now so I can send you a PM detailing all information. Expect one in your inbox soon.
