Noob of Noobs

Hey everyone!

I'm new around here. I just signed up.

I don't know exactly what I will want to do here. When I was at college, my final project was a flash game. Was it good? Of course not! It was a first time for me! Do I want to improve? Very much!

So I'm gonna ask my first noob question...

Why can't I send private messages? :( I wanted to check with some existing projects to help me gain some wings a bit...

Thank you :)

Welcome to the forums!

Short answer to your question: You're new
Long answer: Spam bots would dearly love the ability to spam PMs to people, so we require you to prove you're human and not a nuisance by getting 10 posts before you're allowed to PM people. So get those 10 posts in and you'll be set!

Simple as that! :D Alright, thank you very much :) Does 10 posts involve replies or should it be 10 new posts?

Replies are fine, just as long as they're not obviously spammy.

Oh! And for all those I might encounter in those forums, please forgive me if my english is not always good or if I misunderstand things. It is not my first language

Also, in the future, try not to double post. We usually look down on those, though there are times when we obviously make an exception. Like this one since ya didn't know.

Barely new and getting myself in trouble? That's not a good start :(

I understand however. I admit I should have gathered more ideas in one post instead of spreading them. I understand how it can be a kind of "spamming" for the most active posts. Don't worry :) I understand :)

Don't worry, not everyone's an "English Master" or something like that, my English isn't perfect either, mostly because I'm from Poland and as you know, learning languages isn't easy bro.

As long as in the end, we find ways to understand each other, it's the most important!

For an alternate language, you're doing really good. I've been able to understand all of what you've said in this thread. Welcome to the forums mate.

It's an easy trap to fall in however. People always assume that I know what i'm saying or that I understand everything. Sometimes, I think I'm saying something and what I said truly means something else. Same when people write to me. I understand one thing when it's the opposite that was meant.

Yeah I couldn't even tell English wasn't your first language until you said so. May I ask what is?

Don't worry, even people with a lifetime's worth of experience with the English language sometimes have trouble saying what they want to say, or accidentally saying something they didn't mean to.

I just joined myself and accidentally double posted by accident, I'd just assumed my first post didn't work and had been unaware I had to wait for the post itself to be accepted :)
