Okay! well... Damsel quest (one) is a sidescrolling platformer with stealth elements, a princess has been kidnapped by dark forces and locked up in a castle dungeon far from her home, she escapes her cage before they decide what to do with her... now she must escape using her wits

I cant tell how long this game took me to make but it was over 2 months for sure, it started as a non hentai game about a princess who sneaks out of her own castle to meet with a lover...but the single room puzzles got too dull... so I made it a hentai game and the project was revitalised... the single screen puzzles were dropped in favour of more expansive levels

full game has 10 levels and 16 game over cgs as well as 4 game over animations, and can be purchased for £4.65 from my blog

After being in the forum for a long time, I've found that projects where the developers interact with readers on the forum even on projects being produced elsewhere bring in new members in a lot of cases. On the other hand, projects that request payment are typically not supported in the forum, typically losing member interest and falling off the front page.

If this really brings nobody to the forums, then c'est la vie, maybe I'll learn something from it. If it brings in new members, then I'll learn a different lesson.

I'm also taking a note out of crowdsourcing projects and adding stretch goals, so the people of the forum can still contribute to what they'd like to see added to the game

the poll for the first stretch goal of 500 sales is still active on my blog, but im still open to suggestions,

my ideas were; adding text to game overs or adding an arcade mode featuring the shooter stage, because it would be fun to get to play around with it more...



also at 1300 sales im planning on adding a mini game homage to jungle girl featuring our princess here

I'm testing the demo and I really like it so far. (It also contains more free gameplay than many of the often self-dying projects that get posted here, mind you). It's nice to see a game that has nice, hot hentai and still good gameplay. The pricing also seems quite reasonable.
Now for some hopefully constructive critisism:

*I would like more checkpoints. It is very frustrating to replay the same sequence many times bacause something tricky followed it before you could get to a checkpoint.

*I like that you quickly can restart when captured. If the game engine allows it, it would be nice to skip the screen scrolling to get to a checkpoint, though.

*Fullscreen mode would also be nice if the engine allows.

*The help screen is buggy.

and how specifically is it bugged?



so far i've had 2/57 people who bough the game say the unlock.ini doesnt work for them, im still waiting for details from them so i can possibly fix that...

my theory is their pc's changing the file somehow...on the mothers laptop it removed the ini part so game maker wouldnt locate it, so i had to edit a different ini

I, for one, am glad to see an indie project taking off. Maybe this can help inspire indie developers to actually try to market their works. I know a lot of projects would actually be complete if their teams knew they'd be getting something out of it. This job ain't easy and in spite of all the (almost expected) criticism, it's no wonder ppl quit before halfway through. I can't count how many times I've quit something just because of all the negative feedback. I gotta say congratulations to Azure and expect my purchase on payday.
