Laptop problems

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I’ve been having some issues with my laptop and was hoping one of you guys would be able to help me.
For the last week I have had no sound on my laptop at all. I checked the device manager and it said that one of my high definition audio controllers has a “code 10”.

The problem is affecting other parts of my laptop as well. If I try to put it in sleep mode the screen will go black but the computer will stay on and start making a lot of heat. And my USB ports don’t work anymore so I can’t make a “just in case” copy of my game (I know it’s not pretty but I worked really hard on it  ).

I’ve tried updating the driver but it’s already up to date. I tried uninstalling it and letting the computer reinstall it but the problem is still there. System restore doesn’t work (says something is blocking access to some files). Then I tried using a free trial of slim drivers to fix it. It worked for like a day then the problem came back.
Anyone have any other suggestions? It’s a Toshiba by the way.

Tried it, no go. The fact that it’s affecting multiple parts of my laptop makes me think it might be a virus or something. I’m tempted to bring it to a local computer shop but I’m hesitant as I can’t copy my work to a memory stick and delete the ones my laptop.

On another site a guy had a similar issue and said it was a problem with the internal power source and my battery has been wonky lately. Anyone good with tech know if a messed up battery can affect driver functions like sound?

Can you upload files? I suggest use GMail or Media file, find your programs files and put them in a zip. Then upload them to Gmail or Media fire.

I had problem with android - bad sound i remover its OS and put new one. It helped. My sisters problem removed with hard reset - she changed some thing in her Android system and it lags so that no sound. But i do not think that if some problems with battery - it can effect device another way. But in psp bettery can work to rebuild your OS in it if i am not wrong - so all is possible

(Sorry for some mistakes  )
