it's an epic anime that i saw 2 years ago. the name is german. it means "elven song." i highly reccomend watching it.
IN MY OPINION, IT IS THE BEST ANIME EVER CREATED!
i just came across it again and decided to re-watch it. simply beautiful.
*warning, has partial nudity and gore (no sex)*
just google it. I cried at some parts lol
it's only about 12 episodes long. after watching it, come here and discuss

I force myself to watch episode 1 and by 2 i was bored. From what i've scene of the Manga and the anime the anime doesn't do the manga any credit. Sure you need to change things and sometimes the anime passes the manga but a lot of the stuff they did was stupid and isn't even trying to follow the manga from what i can tell.

Watched both, liked both. The manga's ending was a little weird for me. While on the other hand the anime cut some things out. Overall enjoyed both but the ambiguous ending of the anime was more preferable for me.

That being said its not "BEST ANIMU EVARRRRRRRRRR" though it rates at least in my top 20.

I have read Elfen Lied, but I'm no fan of anime. It's a good story, and I cried during it.

To be fair, I read it whilst feeling suicidal. Not a good plan.

To be quite honest, Elfen Leid isn't my cup of tea...I dunno, something about girls (who are occasionally half-naked) tearing people to very bloody ribbons just doesn't click with me. You could say I prefer most anime ladies "clean," in the sense that they aren't splattering people's guts on themselves wherever they go. They can be badass, sure, but there's only a certain point to which I can tolerate the bloodbath.

The first thing to ruin a anime for me is people nude.
Second is overly large boobs that look ugly.

Bluelight, I'm with you there. If you want your manga to be serious, don't put nude people in it. It ruins the mood.

In porn, nudity is fine. In non-porn, it is gross.

History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi is a relaxing read but doesn't make much sense. Why the hell are all the kids he's beaten up able to take adults on? I mean it's crazy what his class mates can do.

Yup it is, but i like the action, and it's a action/comedy manga it's not mean't to always make sense, though i've found it pretty easy to follow, as for why i know the name of Kamisama Hajimemashita, I've been reading it for a while now, also Skip beat, The One, Ratman, Hayate the Combat Butler, Vagabond, Gwi, The Breaker: New Waves, Koi ga Moumoku, Kimi no Tame ni Hiku, Bibi, Legend of Tyr, New Prince of Tennis, Fairy Tail, Id, Executional, Detective Conan, Negima, Need a Girl, Dimond No Ace, KissxSis, Air Gear, Etc.
