Good day, boys and girls!
I just started this topic to discuss about the layout of our most beloved forums.
Hints, tips, pointers or hacks are supposed to go here!

I myself found the layout a bit boring (i don't like blue), so i went ahead and changed the 'tint' on my computer settings.
Changed the tint to 162 - and now the forum is in red! yeah!
oh, but it messes up other colors as well, so its great to do when you're high

i agree the blue color is pretty cool at first but after a while it gets kinda......dull

Eh, I could care less about the colors, it's still pretty cool and Rooie, I'll have to try that some time. It'll be exciting when I first get high. (I don't want it to mess up my system yet!)

Well I can't get high because my brother comes over every weekend and I'm working every weekday. So if I get high I have to wait till he's not with me, which is like never because he spends pretty much his whole summer with me.

I like the blue, makes moderating easier on the eyes to be honest.

Blue is good, but is it possible to add a feature where you can change the color to a color you want to?

As of right now there are two forum layouts, one is called prosilver I believe the other is called sub-silver. I use sub-silver which is even more bland than the blue. So knowing that there are two templates means I am sure Renara could implement more if needed but at this point its a lot of work for just a few changes that don't really affect the method in which the forums operate. However since it is powered by phpBB I am sure he could grab some preset ones. I'll ask next time I see him. If you do want to use sub-silver just go to your user control panel, under global settings, under board style.

I've just stuck with the default forum themes since the forums are automatically updated, so custom themes don't always update properly. Still, if the actual layout is fine for people then it's possible to change just the colour-scheme using stylesheets, it's just that it's not a quick job to do, I'll have a look to see if there are any good pre made stylesheets and/or image packs as that'd be the easiest way to re-skin the forums.

Just wanted to note that I haven't forgotten about this, it's just probably going to require me to do some stylesheet fidgeting, however I can easily enough generate the basics from this website, but instead of installing the actual theme, I'll just disassemble the bits I need (the stylesheet and the images).

If anyone's keen to get a particular colour scheme, then have a go at that link to see how it turns out, and attached the (compressed) style. I won't guarantee I'll add every one, or that I won't tweak some of them, but I'll try to add a few more interesting schemes for people to pick from. In particular what that site won't do is things like dark backgrounds, but depending whether the images need changing I may be able to do one or two dark-background variants as well.

Just testing the tag out while i offer my layout. This is sorta eh to me. I personally like red but i don't want the color of the forum to be totally red.

Wrong thread perhaps? But please at least be more specific; the purpose of a spoiler tag is to prevent people reading text that spoil something for them, white text on white background is a nice easy way to do that, so in terms of what a spoiler tag is there for, then it seems to me to work just fine
I have however switched to a javascript alternative which should also take up less space, and work with images, coloured text etc.

Ya, sorry for not putting specifics XD

I like the newer version a lot better, then old you new had didn't work on my phone (I couldn't select text) and the links or different colored text weren't hidden.

I do like the new one better though.
